May 24, 2012I know the phone is charged, when I plug it in though not even the charging screen comes on. The phone itself will not turn on at all. The only thing it will do is have the green notification light when plugged into my computer, but still no screen or phone power.

Sep 22, 2012Since the rollout of 4.0.4 I have had the same issue on both my D4 and RAZRM. When the phone is rebooted, the "Stay Awake" under Developer Options is reset to "on" (box is ticked by default). this is NOT the correct default setting.I thought the issue is related to SystemPanel and perhaps its monitoring function, but anfter uninstall, the problem persisted.I can't figure out which app is causing this, so I thought I would mention the problem again on this Forum in case anyone has had a similar experience, and knows what app/process might be over riding the default settings.I will say it is less of an issue with the RAZRM as I have not had a forced shutdown/reboot since I got the device (D4 reboots were a daily issue).

Oct 28, 2011I'm at work posting on the bionic so making this short. I let my phone charge over night with oem wall charger i unplug it to go to the gym. Well i usually turn the lights on in my room. This morning i did not as i unplugged the bionic the backlight light up dimly. I let it sit i finally got tired of testing it the backlight stayed on indefinitely. I let it sit 5 min still on i have to push power button to wake and again to lock. So i was wondering if anyone noticed this it can drain battery i sometimes put phone in gym bag after charging without waking phone.

It not only does this in text messages, but also in apps and in the internet browser.

Aug 3, 2011I just updated last week to Gingerbread but this was happening before that. I plug my phone into my factory charger and when I go to unplug it it says it is still charging. Dosent go away until I reboot the phone, any ideas? When it is fully charged the green led even stays lit. Dosent do it all the time just enough to be annoying. I really dont want to trade my phone for a reconditioned one since it is only three weeks old.

Jul 8, 2014Why this is happening right now but my phone won't charge. When I plug it in the red notification light blinks for a while, then the charging logo appears on the screen for a short time and during that time red is light constantly lid, as it was supposed to, however then the screen goes black again and the light starts blinking.
I found a solution on YouTube which suggested me to tape power button firmly so it's always pushed and then charge it for an hour. I did exactly the same thing, nothing changed.
It's been more than 2 hours and my phone is still charging with the same cycle (blinking red light, then charging logo, then blinking again). I wonder what happened to my phone and what can I do now?
I realized that with using charging dock I can see a glimpse of Xperia and Sony logo but then they vanish. The phone seems to be restarting itself while I use the dock.

Mar 11, 2012I have been using my samsung galaxy pretty heavily being as i just got it a week ago. I have noticed with heavy use it does not last me a whole day. Yesterday i let the battery drain all the way out so that i could completely cycle through. It ended up takeing a little over 3 hours to fully charge again. Was curious how many hrs of usage other people are averageing and how many hrs of charge time?

Do I need a usb hub with higher output current? I've used low power chargers and they take longer but seem to work fine.

Aug 12, 2011I often park my Droid X in it Motorola Car Dock when I am on a long drive (2 hours) and usually turn on maps, gps, and bluetooth. Battery indicator top right shows lighting bolt thru battery in upper right of home page every time I look and looking at the cigarette lighter end of the cord, I see the red light on. Starting the trip, I verify I am 100% charge but at the end of the trip, I am not fully charged. why am I dot fully charged if on car battery the full time? If I assume my cable is ok and it is really connected full time to the car source, is it possible the usage current can be more than the charge current thus resulting in a never fully charged phone at the end of the trip? Or is this simply an indicator of a bad or intermittent cable?

May 8, 2015Over the last couple nights I've noticed that my Turbo won't charge overnight. I often read or play games before bed and it seems if I have a few apps open and then plug it in it won't charge. If I close all the apps down then I've never had a problem.
I've also noticed it freezing up at times and then rebooting by itself if I don't close open apps.
The phone is great and at this point I don't care about Lollipop. We've had 2 S5 go bad with Lollipop and until they get the bugs all worked out I'll keep munchin the kitkat.
Motorola Droid 4 :: Multimedia Dock Not Charging?
Mar 12, 2012When I plug the phone into the USB port on my PC it charges. When I plug the Multimedia dock into the PC and dock my phone it does not.I moved from the Droid1 to the Droid4 and have a dock from my Droid1 that works as it should. The new Multimedia dock for my Droid 4 will not charge the phone while docked unless I plug it into the dedicated charging plug. Doing this, I lose the ability to transfer data back and forth via USB.

Mar 1, 2012The feature i miss the most from my droid 2 days is the little indicator light to know that the phone is charging... I realize that light was left off this phone and moved to the caps lock key. But wondering if there was a way of turning in the indicator light when the phone is charging like when i get a notification that i have a text message. My Wifes incredible 2 indiciator light turns red when it is charging and i beleive turns white when it is finished. Its just a lot easier for me to look at my phone and see it is charging vs having to unlock my phone to see if it is charging or see it on the lock screen. Sometimes my charges becomes unplugged and i was always quick to know with the droid 2 that it had happend. vs waking up the next morning with my droid 4 thinking it was charging and nothing all along. Is there a feature i'm missing or is it possible to have this in an upcoming update?

Jul 17, 2011I have a weird issue that keeps popping up. Occasionally, I pull the power from my phone and the battery indicator says that it is still charging. If I shut the phone down, it will boot right back up because it thinks the power is connected. It doesn't do this all the time but when it does, my battery goes into a serious drain. I also have noticed that once in awhile, when the phone comes out of nighttime power saving, 3G don't come back and the battery drains big time.

Sep 29, 2011The thing that drives me nuts about this phone is that you can not see the usb charging port in a dark room. On many ocassion i have had to plug in my charger in the dark and i find myself always fumbling around for minutes to find the port. The thing that makes it even more frustrating is that there is already a LED there! It just doesn't turn on unless the battery is dead and the phone is plugged in. Motorla calls it a "sign-of-life" LED. What a waste of resources because most people who keep their phones charged will never see this LED light-up. Why didn't you guys make it toggle on with a long push on the lock button? Then you could easily see the ports? This seems like the most usefull and obvious thing to do with this LED.
Also what happened to the camera application? My wifes X2 takes amazing pictures wheras the Droid 3s turn out afwul. Can I use the droid X2 app on my D3? Besides these two gripes this is an amazing phone and I am very happy with it.
Motorola Droid :: LapDock Not Charging Razr
Jun 21, 2012Regarding the LaptDock 100, when it is plugged into the wall my Razr will charge while plugged into the LapDock. If the LapDock is not plugged into the wall and running off the battery it will not charge my Razr phone, in fact my phone will lose a charge. When I had my Bionic the phone would charge off of the Bionic LapDock if the dock was plugged into the wall or not.
