I am trying to transfer pictures from my DroidX to my laptop. When I plug the Droid in to the computer, nothing happens. I went in to My Computer and I don't see the device listed.

I was/am using a USB Broadband modem for internet connection (for mobility) and a cell phone from another provider. Saw the RAZR and preordered from Verizon with much enthusiasm, Hey I'm finally getting with the times upgrading and consolidatingWell on 11/10/11 I received a receipt on the door when I got home, a receipt from FED EX saying they were here and unable to deliver without signature. I jumped back in the car and rushed to the FED EX joint to get my new toy. Well it sure is a beaut! I love it!ell long story shorter... I cannot get Hotmail, Yahoo, Facebook nor my eBay accounts web pages to load on the laptop via using the Hotspot feature. (Among many other sites while browsing) I contacted Verizon several times tried CDMA only blah blah blah.
Verizon escalated me to support out in Utah... TAKE NOTE MOTOROLA! and the Cisco tech there "made some changes" and was able to get me up and running, albeit until after we hung up and I was satisfied that it had been worked around. After about 10 minutes of enjoying "What I have paid for" it quit again and the pages just sit, trying to load and sometimes scrambled.Dismayed, I called Verizon and asked for a new unit, which I recieved last night, (and again had to got to the FED EX joint) IT TOO Will not funtion properly. ( I figured it wouldn't) But hey, even Henry Ford puts out a lemon once in a while.
Do you need a laptop dock to see your phone screen on your laptop? If so, which do I buy for a Droid RAZR?

I had to do a reset on my phone and now I can't get to those pictures. They are still on the sd card because I can get to them if i plug into my computer. View 6 Replies View RelatedSince installing a new Netgear 7550 modem/router from AT&T, I have been having trouble with the WiFi on my Verizon Razr. I can connect to the network and browse just fine for a while, but eventually the WiFi indicator changes from blue to grey and no apps will load data. This includes not being able to load webpages. I also notice that once the icon goes grey, only the upward pointing triangle within the WiFi indicator comes on. Of course restarting the phone or rebooting the router restores the connection for a time, but eventually it drops again. Once the icon turns grey I get the following from the settings menu:
Status
Connected
Signal strength
Excellent
Link speed
72Mbps
Secruity
WPA/WPA2 PSK
IP address
192.168.1.xxx (the last three numbers never seem to change)
I tried to use the blue tooth file transfer app but this is the message i get:
You can't connect with target device because it lacks of the "Object Push Profile" (OBNEX OPP) Bluetooth service. Make sure that the target device is in DISCOVERABLE mode and enabled to receive files!"
I read on a forum that the Razr's transfer rates are such that there's no point in buying a SD card higher than a class 4. That the Razr is not able to tranfer data higher than a class 4. I find that hard to believe, given that the SD Association recommends class 10 for "Full HD video recording, HD still picture consecutive shooting"
Does anyone know if the Razr's able to utilize class 10 memory cards or if there is a lower spec that is the max it can utilize?
