Motorola Droid 2 :: How To Turn Off Audible Notification When Battery Fully Charged
Oct 10, 2011Since the upgrade to GB, I get a lot of notifications, some I can't tell why. One that I know of, when the phone reached full charge, I get the notification, sometimes 2 or 3 times. How to turn these off, was not happening in FROYO.

May 12, 2011Recently I've been unable to access emails on my D2G. I receive a notification tone and light but when I go to email it tells me it can't establish a connection. I check the account and my password which should show as ******* now shows as ****************************. Who or what is adding the extra digits to my password. It's a yahoo/sbcglobal account. I've been having similar problems with corporate account at the office.

Jul 12, 2012I had my bluetooth on Connected to a handsfree device. Now I wasn't on a call but the bluetooth lost connection. Now with the standard Widget It had the little green Light like it was on but it Disappeared out of my Notification Bar, and it would not even reconnect even toggling the bluetooth on and off. A reset seemed to fix it but it was kind of Random.

Nov 24, 2011On my brand new Razr (24hrs old!) - I have noticed that when the phone boots and the SD card is mounted, there is an Audible sound "DROID" - and its annoying. (Now, I am not talking about the mechanical sound/video that fires up when the phone boots). In Sound Settings I find a section called "SD Card Notifications". You can turn that off or on and here is the odd part. If I turn it On, it will use whatever I have the "Notification Ringtone" set at. That makes sense. If I turn if Off, it will use my "Phone Ring Tone"! - A long MP3... This does not make sense. In other words, I cannot silence it and I would like to. The phone does have a "Silent" ring tone (internally) but it is not one of the available "Notification Ringtones" I can use.

Jun 20, 2012I just got this phone yesterday (6/19) and there is one thing that I cannot figure out. When in sound setting there are check marks next to audible touch tones when using dial pad, audible selection when making screen selections, and screen lock sounds, but I don't get any sounds. Sounds work great for everything else. Volume is up.

Feb 28, 2014I am guessing that this is properly a WP8 question, but having the Icon, and being new to WP8 (and therefore not knowing if all of these settings are by phone model or across the platform) I figured I'd start by posting it here. My question is, when I add my yahoo mail account through the basic email setup on the phone, will I receive notifications when mail arrives? I know that I could just send myself mail and see, but there are two reasons why this isn't a perfect way to get an answer. First, I am having issues getting other email pushed, and therefore don't always get notifications from the other accounts. Second, there is no push option for yahoo, but you can select it to check the server every so often- with 15 minutes being the shortest.
I don't want there to be an audible notification. My yahoo mail is more of a junk account than anything. There is no option under settings for it to turn notifications on or off, so I am wondering (and hoping) if it simply doesn't have an audible notification?
Motorola Photon 4G :: No "USB Connection" Notification?
Sep 13, 2011When my MoPho is plugged into my Mac (OS X v10.6.8) I no longer get the auto-mounting of the internal and SD card volumes, and I don't see the "USB connection" notification on the phone's status bar. I can connect using Moto Phone Portal over WiFi to Firefox 6.0.2 on the Mac, but picture downloads run at 175 BYTES PER SECOND, not the speed I'd expect when the WiFi antenna is 10 feet away.

Jul 9, 2010I just got a Motorola Milestone in the mail today. I liked the Moto Droid that Verizon has but I have no interest in going to Verizion again. (America's most reliable network does not work in my basement or in other parts of my home and yet Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile do )
So I got the GSM version of this phone.I have always liked that Droid! notification that alerts you to a new email in my mail box.Is there anyway to get that on my Milestone?Also is there anyway to access the apps store for the free apps without having to sign up for a Gmail account?

Sep 16, 2011my LED light will not shut off rendering what should be a "feature" into an "I'm this close to getting a hammer and going to town" incident.Wish there was a way to turn it off entirely.I don't know what else to check.

Every android phone I've had (Droid, Inc, tbolt etc) has done this. But none has flashed the LED for hours. I'm not sure if it ever turns off.

Possibly, it is due to the phone being registered out of MI, with a MI area code, and the phone and myself, are actually located in a western state. Irregardless, I have not received any notification of an upgrade and before I go looking for it, is it really worthwhile at this time, or should I wait until all the bugs I'm reading about are fixed?My X with Froyo, is operating great. No problems other than maybe once a week a freeze up that requires a battery pull. Since I came from the BB world, and I also carry a BB tour for work, battery pulls are no big deal and almost seems natural.I read about problems, not only here, but on a few other forums. I read where people have to take their phones into the local Verizon store for service after GB upgrade. That is not a good option for me, since this involves a 120 mile trip to the nearest Verizon store

Sep 29, 2011I've had the phone since Monday and have not had a pleasant experience in terms of signal. I manage a little over 300 lines for my company so I know what our signal is and isn't in places. All of our phones typically get great 4G signal and 3G signal around here and especially inside the building. Since I've had the Bionic though it's been really flaky as a lot of others have mentioned. 4G just seems to drop a lot. I've done a lot of speed tests (both on the phone and also tethered to a laptop) and the biggest inconsistency is the upload speed. I am getting 0.05mbps on my upload, but closer to 5-6 on download. The phone itself has been fine, all apps work, speeds are good when browsing actually works and the network doesn't drop. I called Verizon today and he had me check the box for data roaming which was not on by default. So far the signal has been pretty solid where it doesn't drop but it didn't make any changes to my speeds.
I have a Thunderbolt here that gets 20 megabit plus on both uploads and downloads so I know speeds in this area are fine. The Verizon tech pointed me to an update in November that *should* address something with 4G but he wasn't clear on what exactly that was. One other issue I've been having is Wifi. It takes a long time to detect that I am close to my access point. Are others seeing the same issues with uploads that I am or do I possibly had a device with a bad radio?

Nov 29, 2011So, I've had data loss all the time and it's not too troublesome cause it always comes back. However, this time it hasn't come back. My 3G connection has been dead for three days. I work in 4G and its fine, but when I come home in 3G it's completely gone. I've tried everything short of knocking it around like an old tv set.

Oct 13, 2011My Bionic is reallying driving me nuts with this. It will contantly flip from 4G to 3G and then back again. I can be in the middle of downtown Dallas and have full bars and it will do this fliping every 10 or 15 minutes. This kills the batt and screws up all my push apps like Activesync email. I can have the phone sitting in one spot and the 4G signal will go from full bars and slowly drop to no bars then 3G. Other times full bars 4G and bam right to 3G. I have a VZ 4G Mifi sitting right next to it and the signal meter nevers leaves full and works like a charm the whole time. Funny part is until earlier this week it was fine so I just dont get it.

Nov 23, 2011I recently upgraded from a Droid2 to a Droid3. My Droid3, when connected, via USB cable to my laptop (running Ubuntu) will charge (lightning bolt on the battery, etc), but no notification sound/icon allowing selection of USB mode. I have a cable I bought from the Verizon store. The same cable works with the droid2 still. I can swap from the droid3 to the droid2 and it would connect and my laptop would mount the sdcard (in usb mass storage mode). I have also tried at different computers at work. I had Verizon send me another refurbished droid3. It wouldn't connect either. Motorola Tier 2 tech walked me through the basic checks again, and had me do many combinations of turning on and off, and unplugging the battery, and factory resets to no avail. I asked the tech support to try it on one of their models and she said it worked there, coming up with a notification.
Next I went into a Verizon store, tested with a new cable and multiple computers there, and had an employee try with their droid3. Still no notification message with either of our phones! They said I should wait for update. I have 90days of warranty on this phone, should I wait for an update or maybe even ICS? or return it with hopes I just have seen three droid3's in a row with this problem, and they are not all like this? Or even possibly a different phone? (i like the droid 3 otherwise).

Jun 5, 2011I've been wakened several times a night by notification tones randomly going off for no reason while phone is docked. Seems a lot of folks are having the same experiences. I expect to hear the initial phone docking notification and the battery full notification is turned off so that aint it. I'd turn off notifications but that's a pathetic fix.

This is very annoying so I muted my phone and this is fine until it time to wake up and the alerm doesnt sounds because I muted my phone.
