Since updating the OS, the phone keeps indicating on the status bar that a new app update is ready. It does not say update for what. When I try to do the app update, it lists all the apps but none has an available update.

Did the is icon go away with the Lollipop update? What am I missing. I tried using Android Pay at the grocery store today and it did not register with the POS terminal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhile I am able to send and receive text messages at the moment, recently, I found where 6 text messages never got sent. I deleted them. However, I still show a text message icon with a red circle/slash through it indicatint the messages never got sent. Since they were deleted, how can I get rid of the failed messages icon in the status bar? I clear the bar, but the icon eventually returns. Don't know why it happened or how; but thought deleting the messages would delete the icon. Not even sure how I'm now ok sending and receiving messages!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI followed the instructions on the website and when I connect it to reload the software, the error number on the screen's device changes to 561 and a window opens to tell me the desktop software can't communicate with my blackberry.Once I clicked on repair and wrote in my password it simply tells me that there are no available updates of BlackBerry Device Software at this time and to put in my email so they can warn me when a new update comes out.I don't need to update the software obviously, just to reload any version of it so my phone can work again.

I currently upgraded to the new BlackBerry Curve 8530 after having the Curve 8330 for 2 years. For the past week I have had nothing but problems. I pulled the battery out 4 times over the past week, and now I am having some problems with the SMS and MMS Text icon. When my phone receives an SMS or MMS message I click on the icon and read the message, and either respond or do not respond. Then when I back out and go back to my home screen, the SMS and MMS icon still indicates that I have an unread message. There is NO SMS or MMS indicator icon at the top of my screen to alert me of how many messages there are, because there are no new/old unread messages. I tried pulling the battery out twice, and it corrects the problem for a little bit (maybe an hour) and then reverts right back to it's annoying ways.
Please help me out. I attached a photo to this discussion so hopefully it will make it easy for whomever is responding to fully understand what is going on.

View 2 Replies View Related I recently purchased a used, unlocked Motorola Atrix off eBay from a reputable seller (over 5000 feedback & 100%).Having put my o2 sim card & micro SD card into the Atrix, I plugged in the charger & left it for a few hours.I then turned it on & followed the instructions for creating a MotoBlur account & setting everything else up.Once I started getting use to the layout, I then realised there was no status bar at the top of the screen.I've hunted thru menus & tried several factory resets but no status bar.I got in touch with the seller who told me to download the Software Update program from Motorola.
I've now tried the UK retail, the UK Orange (it was originally on Orange Network) and the US AT&T & each time it gives me the option to reinstall but fails after 23% with "Error - Update has not been completed" during which time the phone has rebooted & locks up at the initial ['M' Dual Core] logo screen. Only a battery pull resets it.
Has anyone come across this situation where the status bar doesn't exist?

There are some apps that need run full-screen and I am finding that the status bar interferes? Example, Softick Klondike Solitaire - unfortunately a great game but the developer put the score line so that it's hidden by the HoneyComb status bar.So I'd like to hide the status bar there may be other apps that need this too
