My email is set up correctly. The message will sit in the outbox until I remove the battery and reinstall. Once this is done it sends without issue. Running 4.5.605.
View 1 RepliesI recently had to change my AOL password. My Droid 2 hasn't sent any emails since then! They are all stuck in my Outbox. When I try to send from Outbox, I get a "connection Error" message. I've removed the battery and gave it a rest and put it back in, no better. I uninstalled and reinstalled AOL mail.
View 1 Replies View Relatedust out of curiousity apple's iphone has a non removable battery, but if the battery needs to be replaced due to end of life (most cellphone batteries last about a year, maybe a little longer before it dosn't hold its charge as well) apple charges 80 dollars to have a new battery installed by them into your phone. Does motorola offer something simular? Or do we just have to get a new device once the battery is dead?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if anyone else has problems keeping wireless connected to WatchGuard firewalls since the ICS update. I have an XTM 23-W and an XTM 26-W both running the latest WatchGuard firmware, version 11.6.1. I have a DROID 4 that was recently updated to ICS.Ever since then, I cannot get it to stay connected to either XTM firewall on any access point (each device has 3 available APs). It will connect, authenticate, get an IP address, and work fine for 30-45 seconds, then disconnect, reconnect, and go through the whole process over and over again.The phone works fine at Starbucks (open networks), and it works at two different locations with two different Netgear wireless routers both using WPA2-PSK with AES, the same as the WatchGuard units.I have tried using 802.11 ngb, just gb, and b by itself. When using ngb, it does it about every 30-45 seconds, with gb it makes it as much as 90 seconds, and b only does it even more frequently. With an open network, it does it every 30 seconds or so.Changing channels from Auto (it was on 11) to 2 or 9 made no difference.Changing from WPA2-PSK and AES to an open network made no difference.Having only one AP active (they have 3), regardless of which one, made no difference.On my Netgear WNR3500L at home using WPA2-PSK with AES (the same as the WatchGuard units), it works fine.I cannot figure out why this phone will not stay connected.

Who thought it would be a good idea to remove the functionality to assign each email account their own notification ringtone? I use this as a tool to know when an email is from my personal account or from my work account. Now I have to pick the phone every time to find out which it was. That was dumb of Motorola. It need to be returned to it's previous level of functionality. I speaking of the corporate email accounts specifically.

Basically, if I create a new message it will send from my WiFi only Xoom via my Exchange account. However, if I reply to a message it just sits in the Outbox forever.
POP3 is fine.
It was fine before I upgraded to 3.1, and my HTC Desire running 2.2 works fine too.
I'm not a fan of the car dock app. I can only add one app to the shortcuts and I can't replace the existing ones. There's also a big back icon taking up space in the map app that I can't disable. Plus, I'd rather just use the default Google Navigation app instead. It has a better "follow me" feature when not navigating. Well, at least I like the first person perspective option versus the aerial point of view.
So, is it possible to replace the car app with a 3rd party app? I'd like it to launch instead of the Motorola one when the phone is docked. If so, what's a good 3rd party car app?
If that's not possible, then can I completely disable the car app from launching when docked? I'd prefer to keep using the Motorola car dock since I have Smart Actions that turn on GPS and Bluetooth when docked. I can press menu then exit to go to the home screen but when I press the home button it launches the car dock app again.
Is there a way to replace a broken screen on the Moto Droid? Even with protection, it was dropped and shattered. I saw a link on how to disassemble the DroidX, but how can you get a new screen?

I used visual voicemail early on with no issue, but ever since I updated software to version 6.0, my voicemail in general has all but stopped working.
Ever since I downloaded software version 6.0 I have had this problem: I receive notification when people call, but I never receive their voicemail unless I periodically remove and replace my battery to reboot my phone. Upon rebooting, I will receive all voicemails that have been left for me since the last time I rebooted. I have called TMobile several times, but they just keep telling me that the settings are all good I have tried going into the stores for advice, but they don't have any answers either.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nokia E72 two weeks back. Don't have much problems with it. Its a great phone. The only problem I see here is with battery life. Before the phone release it was said that the phone will have 11hr of battery back on call. I was expecting the battery to stand for 3+ days with normal usage, but I am really disappointed by nokia it hardly goes for 2+ days. Any one have any trick to make the battery stay longer or any way to handle the phone which will keep the battery well. The second problem I see with phone is the GPS does not seem to be working. But when I use some external application that uses GPS, it works. I am using google maps which works awesome.
I will keep posting for any new problem encountered. One more big question is that , when the new firmware will get released, how do we install it on phone, do we loose data on phone, do we loose any functionality? Can a firmware resolve the battery issue? I found a nice site where we have many free awesome softwares for nokia e71. www.getjar.com. Every possible software is available here. just set your phone model, and the site will have everything compatible to the phone. Nice web site, I really liked it.

I have bought a brand new nokia 5800 just 3 weeks ago, it was working very well until now i used to listen music a lot and taking pictures and recording videos, but from past 2 days its like pain in the neck, the battery power decreases very fast, without even making calls or recording videos etc. i fully charged my phone last night and made a alarm to wake up but. when i wake up today what do i see that phone is turned off and no alram worked. when i tried to turn it on it didn't worked so then i put it on charging then it turns on. what do it do should i replace my battery or my whole phone.

I use the internet and text and listen to music. the most i use the internet is about 30-35minutes a day, sometimes less. I have everything turned off like Bluetooth and fetch data and even 3g. I can go probably 6 hours and do nothing to loose all of my battery. I literally watched my phone go from 90 to 79 in 30 min. just listening to music.
