Motorola Droid Turbo :: How To Add Date On Photos Taken By Camera
Mar 16, 2015
My camera died and I heard the Droid Turbo had a great camera so I killed two birds with one stone. I purchased a new phone and got a great camera at the same time. Now the problem. I must have date taken on my photos. I don't print photos, I send them to other people. How can I get date taken on my photos?
My wife's Droid Turbo is displaying the wrong date and time. Like right now, its 6/14/2015 8:37 am but hers displays 6/9/2015 12:03 pm. I've tried clearing her phones cache but it didn't work. Will factory reset work or will she need a new phone?
So, when using most camera apps, the EXIF data (specifically Date Taken) is not filled in for any picture taken with this phone. Is there a way to enable this field? I have tried at least 4 different apps and was hoping the ICS upgrade would do it, but no love. What is up with this major failure?
With all the digital media in my life, I have automated a lot of processes to organize and make things consistent, so when I find something that makes the job harder, I really loathe it.
I used my Droid Turbo a month ago to shoot some outdoor pictures and the camera worked great. Today, however I attempted to use the camera and the app froze and the phone rebooted. I uninstalled the built-in camera updates and reinstalled them and the result was the same - load the app and the phone reboots. I tried installing another camera app and the result was the same as the built-in camera app.
I recently had to do a factory reset for a different issue and now I don't see my Google photos in the Gallery. When I originally set up the phone they appeared automatically.
I just upgraded to lollipop on my turbo. Overall, I like it quite a bit. However, I noticed this morning that when my phone connects via Bluetooth to my car, it no longer displaying the contact photos on the car display. It was working fine immediately before the installation.
I imported my photos on my computer last night from my phone. Typically I do this by creating a folder on my desktop, copying and pasting from the DCIM folder on the phone. I then will open up Picasa where I edit my photos. All of these steps seemed to work as they normally do (status bar completed, etc) so I went ahead and deleted the pictures in the DCIM folder. When I went to edit the photos, I realized that only about 10 of them were there... not the over 100 I had saved.
Any ways to recover off some hidden spot on the phone? I tried a free app which located many of the photos that were deleted, however, none of the ones I actually needed, which were only taken hours before. I'm thinking they never had a chance to save wherever these recovered ones went?
On Windows Phone, you can set it to automatically store your pics to your Hotmail account. Can you do that with the Turbo? (Or Droid OS). I'm thinking this is more of an OS related question, but I've been reading that the version of OS on the Turbo is almost stock so not quite sure how it works. When you store it to the cloud, is it the native version of the photo or does it use compression?
I can't find a way to make folders in the photo section of my droid turbo. It had camera roll, downloads, screen shots. But won't let me make a named folder to store pictures in.
During the course of the day, at least once a day, sometimes more, for no reason at all, I'll get a notification on my Droid Turbo that the camera didn't initialize. If the problem persists please power off phone. Well the problem always persists and I always have to power off my phone and turn it back on to get the camera working again. I've tried clearing out the data and the cache and it doesn't work.
Tried searching but came up empty. Every time I go into the camera app, it turns on the flash LED's as if I turned on a flashlight app. No matter what setting, it stays on.
I bought the Droid Turbo at the end of November. I've used the camera some, but when I opened the photos in Photoshop, they're only 72 dpi and I'd like them to be 200 dpi.
Have the Turbo and can't figure out how to stop the camera app from opening from the lock screen. I tried both enabling the camera to open with twisting the phone and disabling. I am running the latest update 21.44.12. I am using Nova Launcher which is updated to the latest version. I don't use the camera much and find it quite annoying that when unlocking the phone the camera opens. Any setting that I can disable so that camera will not open??
My phone was run over by a car. i brought it to a cell phone repair shop to try and extract the photos from the vacation we where on. i buy a new screen get it installed, my motherboard has crashed and phone wont turn on. I am wondering how i can get the photos off. Its a droid turbo once it fails to start up the screen remains off but it vibrated every 30sec.
My turbo automatically updated the factory camera app today. So today was the first day I tried recording video and it would not record. I spoke with a verizon tech guy and he had me uninstall the update and now the phone will record video.
Is there a way to take a few images from the gallery or Google pix and put them in a homepage folder for ultra quick reference? I have a couple pix that I often have to refer to but they are currently really deep on the list and have to significantly scroll to get to them.
Last night I used Skype for the first time on my turbo. Today I see that the front facing camera is slow/shaky for a lack of a better word. I have to be super still to take a pic.
Does anyone know how to restore photos that were stored to Droid camera? My pictures never saved to the SD card, always to the camera. I was trying to find a way to move the pictures to the SD card, but had no luck. I some how accidently deleted all of my camera pictures? Is there a way to undo that or am I SOL, for lack of a better term?
More recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
Camera no longer has picture in picture showing recently taken photo. Have to leave then go to gallery to view. Lots of simple friendly feature gone like this. Evan
here do you find the build date in the D3?I was sure i saw it in the settings menu however i checked there the other day and not there so i cannot remeber if i did see it there or not does anyone know of a way to gete this information
How many people are there whos devices still says "Your Device is UP TO DATE"?I feel like each and every person got tasty scoop of ICS on their devices EXCEPT me!I just wanna know how may people are their, waiting for ICS like me? I request, if you posted over here about not getting an ICS and after a while you get an ICS.
Over the past few weeks the date on my phone has reverted several times back to June 28, 2008.
When this occurred, the phone also failed to use or keep network time. I thought it might be the battery, but it shows a strong charge. This is the kind of symptom I would associate with a cmos battery failure in a pc. Does the X have a cmos battery like a PC?
I almost missed an important appointment as my phone thought it was still years away!
