The % has not moved for over an hour now. I'm on a decent LTE connection and USB power. I'm hoping I don't have to start over, it took almost 2 hours to get that far.

Someone told me I could remove (rename) the downloaded update file, but I can't find anything that looks like it might be it. I'm using windows Explorer to view files on my int memory. Yesterday, my phone issued an alert that it had already downloaded the file, and now it wants me to install it.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI finished installing ICS 3 hours ago. The problem was that my battery died during the time it was updating media database. Now, the battery will not charge. It says at 5%. If I am using my phone at all (i.e. just making folders) it heats up and dies/turns off. I've tried 2 different batteries and 2 different chargers with the same results. Also- 3 hours later and I still have no contacts and many apps no longer work (google voice).

View 15 Replies View RelatedFor the last couple of days my Bionic's browser opens for a half a second in portrait, then switches to landscape and can't be changed out of landscape. No other applications have this issue.My display setting for auto-rotate screen is checked.I've powered off and on and removed and replaced the battery a few times.I've gone into the App Tray>Menu>Manage Apps>All>Browser but I don't find an option to check or uncheck Landscape Only. I cleared the cache while I was there but that doesn't change anything. Since it's only the browser there must be a setting somewhere but I can't figure out how to find it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA few weeks back I noticed that the call and music volume on my Bluetooth headset (Jawbone ICON) seemed to stuck at half-volume or less, despite appearing in the volume settins to be at full. This makes the Bluetooth unusable for phone conversations except in the quietest of rooms.
I have reset the ICON on numerous occasions -- blew the pairing off the Bionic (and did a hard reset) but to no avail. Nothing seems to bring the volume back up to the way it was.
My phone has been stuck on the update screen for 6 hours and its stayed at 11%. I need my phone and have tried turning it off and taking the battery out, even plugging it into my pc, but nothing is working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI do love it but i wish it had more customization options! why does motorola decide something is not suitable for their customers? we are not all alike instead of throwing out features they should just have an option to turn on and off.I really, really, REALLY wish my homescreen would rotate in BLUR without having to use a diffrent launcher!i mean its so dumb, i roate my phone and i have to make a selection with the homescreen stuck on portrait then when the app or even the app drawer opens it rotates.

I tried to exit out of it or do anything but it wouldn't let me so I removed the battery, but then when it rebooted it just went back to the 'backing up your data' screen, and is now stuck at 7%. I tried removing the battery again and leaving it for a while but still no luck.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9900 on Orange, and attempted to update to OS 7.0.1 from (I think) 7.0.0 using a wifi connection as opposed to using Blackberry Desktop Software. However, I encountered a problem which I have heard many others have had, when the update got stuck on 'social feeds' and would not move from 8%. I did a soft reset (alt + right shift +del) and a white screen came up, saying to press any key to revert back to the old software. I did this, but now whenever I turn phone on, either through battery pull or soft reset, I get a frozen home screen. I have attempted to start the device in safe mode, and when I do I get a 'recovering your settings' screen similar to the update progress screen, but this too is frozen. I am continuing to reset the phone but am having no success.

And it has been a disaster since I received the update thru the Update Software Section on my phone but since then is has only gotten to 3% of the backup. I have restarted the phone several times, and pulled the battery several times and well and left the phone for hours hoping it would get itself together, to only occasionally fine (app error code:603) and yes at this present moment it is still stuck at 3% back up, this is 3rd day.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI had a perfectly functioning Bionic camera before ICS.During the ICS update (which was supposed to take 10 minutes!) the phone showed updating media database for over an hour and I did a battery pull to restart the phone since I needed it later that night. After a few reboots I could play music and see my camera gallery.Since ICS the camera app will stop working -- the screen goes dark but the camera won't load. It happens to FXCamera app and it happens if I call the camera via online banking to take a picture of a check. I can always access the gallery of pictures. If I clear the 8KB of data and the cache in the camera app and reboot I can then use the camera again. If I do a "fast reboot" or just clear data is still won't open. Only if data and cache are cleared then phone is rebooted. The camera will work fine, but hours or days later it will fail to open.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi noticed that occasionaly if i was looking at a Internet video or playing some other sound using native apps for playback, or playing a clip from a webpage on the native browser, there would be no sound. if i exit the playback and tap the volume on the ringer until i hear the up volume beep, and then go back to the source that was giving be a problem, it worked ok.
did not see this till the ics upgrade. my phone is stock and never rooted.

The ICS update file was downloaded to my wifes' Bionic and we do not plan to perform the installation.How can I delete the file and stop the 'do you wish to do the install?' prompts? The phone is NOT rooted and we do not wish to do so.

View 5 Replies View Relatedafter the ics update my screen suffers from a flicker. trying to pin down the cause, i have noticed it is fine after i reboot my phone. but, once i go into my flipboard app, taptu app, or watch a video on Internet is when it starts acting up. i can play games just fine. i can view most webpages just fine. i can use all my other apps just fine. i've uninstalled, reinstalled these apps, i've pulled the battery, i've changed settings, i've cleared cache. i just can't figure it out. the phone ran just fine before the update. now, after the update is when i have problems. i ran into another person online that has the same issue so i know there is at least one other person in the world having simular issues. this forum is my last resort before calling verizon support and either getting a replacement or upgrading to a different phone.

View 15 Replies View RelatedHas anyone experienced this problem? I have five email accounts on my phone, four regular and one corporate. I have them all setup to check for mail every hour. Before the ICS update, they all worked fine on that schedule. After the ICS update, the corporate account still updates fine, but the other four do not. I changed them to update every half hour, but no change. They still do not update. If I go to the account and manually refresh it, it will download my emails.
