Since I upgraded my Motorola Droid 4 device to Ice Cream Sandwich (Version 4) I have been receiving error messages on Outlook 2010 - IMAP stating 'Too many simultaneous connections' regarding an email account running on both the Droid 4 and Outlook. I am running Google Apps and IMAP protocol. Email settings on Outlook and Droid 4 have been verified by Google and Motorola, respectively.
View 1 RepliesSeems that the wifi and cellular networks get crossed or linked together. When one of them loses connection, they both go down and both icons show exclamation marks. Happens randomly. Sometimes when i disable the wifi, my 4g loses connection momentarily.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been reading articles about the new iphone and the ability to talk and surf at the same time. It seems that the new iPhone 5 will not be able to do this on Verizon and Sprint. This would really effect any one who may use hot spot sharing. Maybe I am just reading into this to much, or is this a possible move to keep iPhone off the VZW and S off there networks because it is a data hog? I just seems like a step back wards. I hope this doesn't move over to the android phones. It sounds like it may just be a limitation of the new iPhone's ability to work on several different networks, but don't you think a new device would have that covered? Just one more reason not to move over to Apple. I will keep my bionic as long as I can, and then purchase another android. After playing with some new phones the other day like the SIII, I think I will still be getting another Motorola when the time comes. The Motorola phone just flows better IMHO. [URL]
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 3 different LG Tone Bluetooth headsets (700, 730 and I believe the 750) plus a Motorola Roadster part 2 other brands that fit in ear. My wife and I swap them out as our needs fit. For exercise the LG Tone works great or if I want stereo d sound.
Anytime I am on Bluetooth the person on the other end can hear me fine but I can't hear them well. Their voices sound garbled and OT sounds like a fax machine noise in the background. I gave checked with LG, Motorola and Verizon...
I get 4G service where I work. I had my phone laying partially on/off a keyboard for one of my computers at work. I noticed an unusual buzzing sound coming from that particular pc's speakers off and on all day. Then I noticed it quit when my phone is not near the keyboard or screen. I can only recreate this when the phone is in CDMA/LTE recieving 4G service. When the phone is in CDMA only this doesnt happen. Is this normal to expect 4G to intefere with other devises?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn Friday, Feb 24 I started having a problem with the battery dying after 4 to 5 hours. If I caught it as the phone was about to die I stuck it on the charger but noticed that it was taking longer than normal to charge as well. I checked what was eating up my battery and it said the process that was using the most juice was called "evbridge". I thought it was possibly an app that I had downloaded so I reset the phone to stock. No dice. (Note: My phone is not rooted.) I looked online and noticed that others that were having this problem owned a Lapdock. I have a Lapdock and use it frequently. I tried ending the "Webtop Connector" service to no avail. The only was I can get normal battery life is by restarting my phone.
I wasn't having any problems for the last couple months that I've been using my Lapdock. I did, however, receive an OTA update shortly before I started having this problem. I have also noticed that my phone gets oddly warm when the evbridge process is running. Roasts the leg pretty good.
Having a new problem finding and connecting to wifi hotspots / routers. When phone was new it used to find a list of available networks very quickly and connect to previously used networks without a problem.Now (only a few weeks old) the phone takes 2-3 minutes to "scan" for networks, then takes another 30sec or a minute to connect.Can't think of any settings I've changed which might have caused this. Have not installed any 3rd party wifi apps either.
View 8 Replies View RelatedStarting late this afternoon, I lost all data connections except wifi. Verizon support told me an outage is nationwide for phones with LTE. As I am typing this, LTE is back for now after a 6+ hour outage. Hopefully Verizon fixed the lte/cdma problems that have been a problem for a couple of weeks.

I don't know if the screen consumption is ordinary, but I am surprised that the screen alone is causing substantially more than half of the battery drain. I have the brightness set on auto, and I turn the screen off every time after I finish using the phone. Is this consumption normal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy new Motorola Droid Razr has had an issue from day one, the data connection ramdomly but on at least a daily basis the phone looses it's data connection. A hard re-boot has solved these issues so far, until today.
I was told that a software update to solve this issue is already in the works. When will it be available??
Have just recently bought a Motorola Razr M which is running stock ICS on Telstra in Australia. I am having constant problems with wifi connections dropping in and out whilst at home. It basically will display very good signal then all of a sudden drop out completely and reconnect. This happens without me moving or changing my hand position, sometimes whilst browsing web or downloading and sometimes whilst not using internet at all. It can happen as often as every few seconds or it may go 5-10 minutes before it starts. No other device I own has these problems, including my Motorola Atrix. I have spent hours changing settings in the modem (2.4g only) but nothing makes ANY difference. This is definitely a phone related problem (bug, hardware etc).

This has happened to me everytime I have tried it. I love the lapdock and would love to reliably be able to use it to view Netflix content, but this issue makes that very difficult.

They work nice. I use them a lot for walking, running, and bicycling.My question though, is the GPS actually using the GPS satellites in orbit, or is it using triangulation off several cell towers to get my location?If it is using GPS satellites, why is it that if I turn off all connections (Mobile Network Sprint & Wi-Fi), I lose all GPS connections as well? If this device is atually getting signals from the satellites, what difference does it make if I am in a cell coverage area or not?I've read that, yes, the location is retrieved from the satellites, but to plot it on the maps takes the cell connection. If that is the case, is there an app that just logs longitude and latitude every second and stores it in a file that can be dumped to a map at a later time?
The reason I bring all this up is because, later this summer, I plan to go on a 2-week long cruise that will visit about a dozen different Carribean islands and I'd like to track my location. At sea, I won't be able to pick up a cell signal. Will the GPS tracking apps like google, still work? Even if I can't get a cell signal, my GPS should still be able to pick up satellite signals
Can we have a feature to start a pre-selected playlist when a run or what ever is started, its a right pain to have to go and start the playlist then start the run, wait for GPS etc etc.

My phone is stock, I have never attempted to root it or do anything like that. I am attempting to do a data reset on the phone but it crashes before the reset can start.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI just received 39 texts that were sent 7-8 hours ago. Plus several people said they called my phone and it went straight to voicemail. It's like the phone fell asleep and wasn't connected to the network for hours until I power cycled the phone. In addition many of the delayed texts came in out of order. This is the second time this has happened and I am beginning to think it's either a Photon bug that pops up occassionally or that my phone might be defective. I don't think it's a network issue as nobody else that I know in this area had this problem with other phones.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have had my Atrix for about a month. The phone is fast and responsive which is really great after having a dog slow phone before this one. But I have a love/hate relationship so far. One big issue is that my music player will not keep playing, it will randomly stop playing and I half to restart it. Also sometimes the music player will cause the phone to reboot. This problom used to be really bad but I found a bug causing some of the Problems.
1. Removed Battery and waited a few minutes to reinstall battery. No change still reboots after a few minutes of using the Music Player
2. Tried downloading another music player PlayerPro to use instead of the default one. No Change still Reboots
3. Next I tried doing a Factory Data Reset. Now the default music player played for about an hour for the first time.
4. Redownloaded most of the Apps I had (At least the ones I could remember). Music Player still playing.
5. Started modifing a couple of the OS Settings>etc... Player still playing
6. Until I got to the setting Settings>Applications>Development>Check Stay Awake while Charging. Now the phone rebooted two times in less than 15 minutes while playing Music. Went back and unchecked the stay awake setting and the Music Player is playing again.So can this bug with this Stay Awake while Charging option please be fixed. I hate for the screen to cut off while I am reading a book. I can plug it in and leave the screen on as long as I want.
7. Now the music player is playing but still after 1+ hours of play time Randomly the music player will stop and/or Reboot the phone.

I purchased a new HTC One M9 from Telstra (Australia) in July and ever since I got the phone I have been experiencing an intermittent problem where the GPS and the cell connectivity will both shut down and not connect to the cell towers and GPS location. There is an X above the cell signal and the GPS location indicator flashes and shows no connection. This happens every few days of use and the only way to restore connectivity is to restart the phone.
I have the firmware up-to-date OTA and I have even tried a factory reset.
This problem is not isolated to any one app and has occurred when using Sygic navigation as well as Run.GPS fitness tracker.
I am suspecting this could be a hardware issue! The issue is that it is an intermittent problem and not instantly reproduceable. The problem just happens and without any warning!
Does Motorola intentionally make their new products inferior at release?I've been using a Droid and a Droid 2 for about 18 months.I shoot a lot of pictures outdoors, some macro, lots of nature and concerts.I also shoot indoors under challenging conditions (concert lighting.) They have both prtovided a passable point-and-shoot camera.The Droid 3 camera is dissapointing in that several important features have vanished:
-There is auto white balance, only a manual and difficult-to-use control.
-The user can no longer set ISO
-The user can no longer set EV
-Focus is iffy under a variety of conditions
-Photos have a bluish cast under most conditions, with and without flash
So instead of getting pretty good shots with a convenient camera, I'm getting washed-out, bluish garbage.(Issues with the video vs. Droid 2 also, in a separate post.)I want to know if Motorola intends to make the experience of this camera catch up with the spec soon, or if i should return my phone while I can still get something else from Verizon.
I have cleared cache and data on the built-in camera app, but again it forced a reboot when I went to use the camera. All I can think of is doing a factory reset. I'm unrooted and 5.0.1. I'm not even sure a factory reset would work since I did one after the latest update.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe only time my phone lags is after I have used facebook (I dont use timescape). The lag goes away if I force close the app (having logged out). Annoyingly, using task killers doesn't kill it. As going to the app menu gets a bit tedious, I rooted my phone so I could remove the facebook app from the system and then downloaded it from the play store. Then I can use the task killer to kill facebook after I have finished using it.
