Xperia Ray :: Facebook Causing Lag In ICS?
May 7, 2012
The only time my phone lags is after I have used facebook (I dont use timescape). The lag goes away if I force close the app (having logged out). Annoyingly, using task killers doesn't kill it. As going to the app menu gets a bit tedious, I rooted my phone so I could remove the facebook app from the system and then downloaded it from the play store. Then I can use the task killer to kill facebook after I have finished using it.

My phone's battery overheats more often each day and because of that, when I plug the charger, it keeps discharging, at this point I have to turn off the device, take out the battery, wait for it to cool down and then re assemble it and plug the charger again.Did my battery reach its limit?. What can cause this effect?. Does overcharge cause this kind of malfunctions?. Do I have to buy a new battery or a new phone?

I'm not 100% sure if this is the solution to all Xperia Minis but after ICS4.0 upgrade of my mini the back button problem occuring due to overheating of phone (usually after 15-20mins usage of any app/music/photo viewing/browsing etc) has gone, After continuous usage of 15-20mins or immediately after charging phone I used to face this problem and could not do anything because as soon as I entered some menu the back button threw me out almost immediately.. but with ICS4.0 upgrade (done approx. 2.5weeks before) the problem has vanished totally. No matter what I do with the phone the back button doesn't throw me out of current menu automatically.

I get a pop-up that says: "Ultra Stamina Mode Repair" Then my phone turns off and keeps restarting.
I know using Pc Companion to fix that, but it will factory reset my phone.
Could you change the design, maybe you can let the user to decide whether or not to reboot phone.
That will avoid rebooting again and again.

I've been using my Z5 Compact with all options underneath Stamina Mode switched on, however, I've noticed that upon picking up my phone to use it, the data connection isn't instantly available, rather I have to wait for 10 seconds or so before I can use any data.
I've been trying to isolate where the issue lies and it seems that as long as I have Stamina Clock disabled, all is well. I've only noticed this since the recent firmware update, but not sure whether that is the cause.

I have cleared cache and data on the built-in camera app, but again it forced a reboot when I went to use the camera. All I can think of is doing a factory reset. I'm unrooted and 5.0.1. I'm not even sure a factory reset would work since I did one after the latest update.

Since last one month whatsapp has been acting quite weird on my Lumia 950 and my dad's Lumia 550. Both are on Windows Phone .29 build. Original configuration , no insiders preview.Whenever we browse through whatsapp , whatsapp freezes and reboots the phone. We uninstalled whatsapp , reinstalled but that hasnt worked at all.
On my Lumia 950 ive noticed keyboard to stop working inside whatsapp and eventually causing phone to reboot. I am not sure whats causing the issue. Issue is on Wifi as well as cellular data. Its affection both 950 and 550. Today whatsapp update did not fix the issue.

Sometimes a wifi network I use everyday won't connect to my iPhone. It tries to connect but the circle keeps circulating next to the network name in settings under wifi. It did this twice, once a couple days ago for a few hours and once yesterday again before I left work. When I got to work in the morning it connected quick no issues. Also today I walked to a Mercedes dealership doing my work runs and when I got there I checked the phone and again the circle kept circulating and never connected. There is no issue of being too far from the signal so I'm not sure if this may be the iPhone issue or maybe by coincidence it being a network issue for both places I mentioned it happening.

I just updated to os on my bbcurve9800. I updated because my keyboard, function keys and side buttons quit working. I could still use the touch screen and scroll with the mouse button, but the mouse would not funtion when pressed.
After I updated, the touch screen will automatically launch what ever app is highlighted without me ever touching the screen. When an application is highlighted, in about 2 seconds a pop up will appear with options. The launch option is always highlighted. With in a second or two the applications opens. Whatever is highlighted when that application opens is then launched.

I have done the reset and the restore to factory settings and manually reinstalled my apps. The battery continues to drain. It will not last a day without recharging. Usage shows Safari is taking up the most of the battery usage. Safari is not open, yet it takes up most of the battery. This is both before and after the restore to factory settings. I did not restore from back up in case the back up was corrupted.
FYI- I have an iPod Touch which is doing the same thing. I took it to the Genius Bar and it was replaced due to a firmware issue. The replacement is now demonstrating the same issues. Restoring to factory settings and manually reinstalling all of the apps worked for a while, but it has now reverted to the same behavior. It had none of these problems prior to the update to iOS 8.

Just noticed yesterday that my battery life has been pretty poor on my new Nexus 6P. It took me a while to narrow it down, but I finally noticed that Bluetooth appears to be keeping the phone awake.
Whenever Bluetooth is on, regardless of whether it's connected or paired to anything (I normally use Android Wear, but I completely unpaired all bluetooth devices on the phone), "Android OS" in the battery info screen appears to be stuck awake. Its "Keep awake" time grows continuously as long as Bluetooth is turned on.
I really can't be leaving Bluetooth turned off, and the phone is not really going to make it through the day like this.

My E7 on Symbian Anna, has since the update and in last 10 days started to suddenly restart - sometimes as many as 6 times during a short span of time. This happens on not on all days, and sometimes even when it is on standby.Today I happened to note that F Secure screen was coming after sudden restar and then back to restart again. Now it is stable and I saw that F secure was showing update to anti theft as of 28/9/11.So I am suspecting that may be F Secure causes the restart while updating.

I'm downloading the 4.3 update (UK) just in case anybody hasn't got it yet. Now when I speak on my phone my ear sometimes causes the phone to switch to airplane mode so I'm guessing this may be some kind of setting to turn the screen off when i pull my phone up although it does go off sometimes.

I have 3 different LG Tone Bluetooth headsets (700, 730 and I believe the 750) plus a Motorola Roadster part 2 other brands that fit in ear. My wife and I swap them out as our needs fit. For exercise the LG Tone works great or if I want stereo d sound.
Anytime I am on Bluetooth the person on the other end can hear me fine but I can't hear them well. Their voices sound garbled and OT sounds like a fax machine noise in the background. I gave checked with LG, Motorola and Verizon...

I've got a LG g3 running Android 5.0 and wifi speeds are drastically reduced if the bluetooth is turned on. Bluetooth doesn't need to be connected to anything, if it's on my speeds are down to about 0.2Mbps and with Bluetooth off they're around 25 Mbps. I've tried a factory reset but didn't make a difference.

My iPhone 4 has been really buggy with the data connections on 3G. I run Speed-Test.Net on it and it barely registers sometimes.....I have to turn it off, reset the network, put it in airplane mode, and then once in a while it will kick in with decent 3G speeds. I thought I was going mad or just imagining this due to all the talk about the antenna. Then I did a test beside someone else's 3GS and I knew there was a problem. I called ATT and got the tier 1 tech. They tried all the stuff I tried above and the Speed-Test and the latency test were all still terrible numbers.
They made me an appointment at the Apple store for 5:30 PM today. I show up and I don't even tell the genius my problem and she is like they are working on the 4.0.1 firmware fix. She did not even look at my phone. The problem is apparently very widespread, and really has nothing to do with the antenna, and that the shorting is just a symptom of the software glitches and the real issue was the switch from the normal sim to the micro sim. Apparently the software was written for the regular sim, and then they made an 11th hour switch to the micro sim, and it was never properly tested. She also said that all the Apple store employees that have the iPhone 4 have the same issues and they are all bummed............

I get 4G service where I work. I had my phone laying partially on/off a keyboard for one of my computers at work. I noticed an unusual buzzing sound coming from that particular pc's speakers off and on all day. Then I noticed it quit when my phone is not near the keyboard or screen. I can only recreate this when the phone is in CDMA/LTE recieving 4G service. When the phone is in CDMA only this doesnt happen. Is this normal to expect 4G to intefere with other devises?

I just received 39 texts that were sent 7-8 hours ago. Plus several people said they called my phone and it went straight to voicemail. It's like the phone fell asleep and wasn't connected to the network for hours until I power cycled the phone. In addition many of the delayed texts came in out of order. This is the second time this has happened and I am beginning to think it's either a Photon bug that pops up occassionally or that my phone might be defective. I don't think it's a network issue as nobody else that I know in this area had this problem with other phones.
