View 1 RepliesWhen I connect my Xoom to any port on my Samsung LCD, it syncs at 1280 x 720 only. There are no settings for the HDMI ports on the TV, they are all auto sensing. I am using a 9` HDMI cable. The picture looks fine, although I'm sure it could look better.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHave an Atrix 4G by At&T. I plug my HDMI cable into the TV (in an attempt to show video, pics, anything) and I get a Motorola logo flashing around only. The Entertainment Center shows up on the phone. If I press anything on the Entertainment Center it disappears, my TV goes blank for a few seconds, then the Motorola logo comes back. I can get the Entertainment Center back thru the pull down, but any selection, it starts all over again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am interested in using the miniHDMI to HDMI cable with an HDMI to DVI adapter to drive a standard computer monitor with the Xoom.
I have the pieces, and have verified I can do straight HDMI to a monitor that supports it. When I try to run the signal to DVI on a different monitor, I get nothing.
I'm having problems playing my .mp4 files on my TV using the HDMI output option. The mirroring keeps blacking out and coming back in. It's almost not woth watching a movie because of it. Why this would be happening? Is it an issue with the OS? i need this to work or I will be buying an iPad2.........which I don't want to do!!

I have a HDMI display device which does not support HDCP. It is a HDMI video recorder (BlackMagic), so it makes sense that it does not support HDCP encrypted info. It works fine with all the other LG and Samsung Android devices with HDMI output, but now I connect Xperia Neo V to it and it tells "screen is turned of or does not support HDCP". I purchased the device specifically to be able to record screen casts of the mobile apps I have developed. can I disable HDCP signal encryption? I've connected the Neo V with TV and I can see that the image quality is quite poor there (definetely worse than 720p as it should be), so I see no real point in HDCP protection. I did not see any specification or reference in manuals that the device is compatible with HDCP HDMI only.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi am using an iphone 4 and i recently purchased the digital av adapter so i am trying to see what outputs video and what does not. (netflix, Internet, photos, rage hd all work fine)
my question is in regards to infinity blade ii. on the app purchase information it states;
"the latest in ios features powered by unreal technology:
the definitive visual experience in mobile gaming, complete with all-new icloud support and hdmi output."
i plug in the adapter and start infinity blade ii and nothing is outputted to the tv. there is also no option to enable it under the settings menu in the app itself. how do you get it to work? is it false advertising? is it an option only available to the iphone 4s and ipad 2? is it only available through airplay? will the feature be included in a future update?
I played around with the HDMI output, after installing the new version of Nokia Big Screen. The video quality was miserable (I have a 720p demo video from Philips for testing purpose). I thought it was from Big Screen application, so I uninstalled it, but there was no change.
In short the screen is way too overscan (part of menu goes out of screen), the TV output format switch in Accessories has no effect (was this active only for analog output ? can't remember and I don't have an analog cable at hand to check), but the worst thing is the video quality is horrible for a HD image, resolution seems to be low, outlines are exaggerated and the contrast is too high, like the tonal range is missing.
I tried on two different brands LCD TV displays and on one of them on both native HDMI and DVI-compatible input HDMI. At the same time connecting my PC to the DVI-compatible input and playing the same video shows a perfect image.
I barely recall that the image was very good before, but I have my N8 only ~1,5 months old so perhaps I have not accumulated much experience on this. Still, even without background, I qualify the actual image quality as "miserable". What HD? Looks worse than SD.
So a little while ago, my company rolled out a security policy update over Activesync that (I am pretty sure) got rid of the 720P video option. They then killed Activesync support completely later the same day (Yeah, I know... why even roll the security policy?). Even after removing the Activesync acct, the video change has not reverted. Anyone know (hopefully short of a complete reinstall) of a way to completely revert Activesync security changes?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was going to try a faster class 10 SD first. I think class 6 should be the minimum for HD movies.
The quality and sound is superb, but it's just slightly out of sync. The video is about 14 minutes in length and is 1.10GB in size. On playback on the phone, it sometimes stutters (like the music stutter) and drops frames, but watch it from a computer with the file still on the SD card, and it plays flawlessly. I know the Tegra 2 is capable of 1080p encoding/decoding, so it should have no issues with 720p. What did Motorola do to this thing?
Is there a certain sequence to disconnecting HDMI from streaming video over the internet?I used it this weekend to stream a show from the internet and when I disconnect (pulled the HDMI cable out) it still says HDMI connection detected. The icon up in the notification bar doesn't go away unless I reboot the phone.

Is there any information on the max current draw for charging the Droid Razr? Both wall chargers I have output 750ma but I believe my car charger only puts out 700ma. Will charging the phone on a charger with too low current output damage the phone? Will it damage the charger? Or is the phone smart enough to throttle the current usage to what's available? I'm assuming the latter is the case since I can't find any warning on charging current. Will a higher output charger (say 1A or 2A) charge the phone faster? Will it affect the longevity of the battery (slow vs fast charge)?

View 3 Replies View RelatedCame across this article today which states, in summary, that Android tablets (including the Xoom) and Apple Notebook which a mini HDMI port are facing trouble after a HDMI Organization source states that the mini connection does not fulfill HDMI specification.Further, HDMI Org also claims that these brands have not received a proper license from them nor have they requested any authorization for the use of the ports. An official from the HDMI Org said that they have asked several tablet producers to replace the Mini DP plug that is currently fitted into tablets with a socket for it to conform to their standards and regulations.URL]Unfortunately, this article is not independently sourced. If true, this is a bombshell.

View 11 Replies View RelatedJust tried to use the HDMI mirroring capability to my computer monitor and my flat screen TV with the NFL Mobile app so I could watch MNF on a bigger screen (I don't have ESPN). Every time it gives me an error. I can do anything else in the HDMI mirroring mode. I'm wondering if the NFL app shuts down when there is an external display detected or if it's something wrong with what I'm doing on my end. Anyone else able to get this to work?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not the only one to have had this happen. ANother poster over at Droidfourms.net has had the same thing happen to them. The screen after disconnecting from the HDMI port will go dim like it is about to shut off but it won't. It will stay dim until you manually turn off the screen with the top power button. It is a glitch and battery killing one to say the least. Anyone else have the issue or remedy other than rebooting like I had to! I mean why do I have to tear apart an Otterbox case everyday? If the HDMI glitch doesn't bother me then it is the black screen of death requiring another battery pull!
