Motorola Defy :: Play Music App Stars Playing Automatically?
Feb 6, 2013
encountered a problem when connecting the Motorola DEFY to a bluetooth device, the Play Music app stars playing automatically? How do I control Play Music to start upon my request?
My Torch 9810 automatically starts playing music that is stored when my bluetooth connection is initiated upon starting my car. Its annoying and I want it to stop.
I recently plugged my LG G3 to my car's USB port and music started playing from my library i guess. I couldn't stop the music in order to listen to something else I wanted to listen to. How do I stop my phone from automatically playing music from my library when I plug it in to the USB port?
When I turn my phone off it starts to play whatever song it feels like that I have installed. Like right when I turn my phone off it'll start to play. I have to have the volume all the way down so it doesnt start to play music anymore. If I pause it from the lockscreen it won't start back up which is good. its done this before and stopped but now it's gone on for a week or 2 and it's just really annoying.
My 2014 Honda CRV EX automatically starts the music app on my Samsung Galaxy s5 (Music Player) every time I start the car and every time I make or receive a phone call. Is there a way to disable this function but still have a Bluetooth connection for phone calls?
I know that mail alerts can be manually turned off in the notification center, but I don't want to have to manually do this everytime I play music. If I have emails come in while the music is playing, it lowers the sound of hte music and plays the alert notice. I would like this alert to be automatically disabled while playing music.
My Nokia 5230 is turning into black/white screen & restarts automatically while trying to do tasks like msg, playing music. Done software reset..But still facing the same issue, done servicing, no of times but no use..
I just updated new FW, and after each call (income and outcome) the music player start play music. I try format phone and card, reinstall new FW, but I have still the same problem.

When i was using the Facebook app on my phone, my phone froze so i pressed the home button and then clicked the power off button at the top. Then i clicked it back on and noticed my whole home screen looks different. Picture at bottom. Can any tell me what happened?
I only have purchased songs on my iPhone. The music player has jammed--won't play anything. I can see the songs but the play/pause button does nothing. I can advance to the next song (still doesn't play) but I can't move back to the previous song. I've tried resetting to no avail.
My phone automatically connects through Bluetooth to my 2012 Lexus and works just fine. However, contacts will not transfer. Is there a setting on the phone I need to change?
A friend of mine took some video of my daughter at a soccer game. She emailed it to me on my gmail account. The file is a mp4. When I tried to play it I got ann error message that said "This file cannot be displayed or played". If it is too large a file for the phones video player does anyone know of an app that I could play or edit it with?
I use Stitcher for podcasts and on my new Turbo I'm having an issue where it will start playing as soon as the screen turns off. As long as the app is open, as soon as the screen goes off, a podcast starts playing.
When I go to the music player and select a song to play, I get a message that tells me to plug in my headphones. The issue is that my headphones are plugged in. I didn't have this issue a week ago. I was listening to my music just fine. I have rebooted the device several times already. The weird thing is that I can hear the boot up sounds through my headphones, as well as notifications. I just can't play music. I have the same issue with the FM radio.
My iPhone 4S sometimes stops playing music by itself while I am playing music. This occurs while my phone is on standby/locked mode; that is I am not using any apps.
Just bought the 16g Motoactv and went to use it for the first time yesterday and couldn't get any music to play. I hear the notifications saying "workout started" ect and the FM radio works fine, but any music i synced or even the "bonus" music that came with the device will not play. there is a play symbol showing up on the top of the screen but no music plays and when i go to the progress bar it reads 0:00 and does not move... any suggestions, this is driving me crazy seeing how i have not even gotten to enjoy this device once yet!!
so strange that my defy just suddenly off while i'm listening to music, and that time the battrie around 70%, and i happen 3 times, what happen with my defy
I have a motorola Atrix 4G running Android 2.3.4 and I recently wiped all the music off my phone and synced it with my google music. I have all my music set to availible offline, so it is all stored locally on my phone, but the HDMI entertainment app doesn't detect any music, nor does the motoblur music app. I don't really care about the motoblur music app but how can I get my music recognized by the HDMI entertainment system app (is app the right word for the HDMI entertainment interface?), or is there a new app I can get that will recognize the music synced by google music?
I have a brand new MOTOACTV 8GB and have only used it to TRY and listen to music around the house and outside once to walk my dog. I can't get through three complete songs without the device stopping a song. Sometimes it will randomly start to song over after a few seconds, sometimes it will move on to the next song. I have done a factory reset, upgraded to the newest software 6.13, and tried three different music formats, all supported. The same things happens regardless of what I try. If I can't get this thing to play music I'm really skeptical as to the rest of the functions.
For some reason, walking to my car this morning, my Atrix began to play an audiobook file (MP3). One that I had listened to days ago.
After months of using the phone and happily listening to audio books this issue has just occured this morning.
I swiped open the phone only to find that the (stock) music player was not actually running. Have not been able to find a way to stop the file(s) from playing.
Observations:
1. rebooting the phone simply restarts the playback of the file from its begining.
2. When the phone is sleeping (screen black), I have no control of the volume (as I would using media player)
3. If I swipe the phone to vibrate or silent, the playback goes silent (though I believe it continues playing)
4. I don't believe I have any ther media players installed.
5. Attempting to play a file in the (stock) music player, results in the file trying to play (the slider moves left to right), but only the audiobook is audible.
6. Have tried cycling power, removing battery, and ManageApps->clearing cache, and even uninstalling a number of downloaded apps - nothing helps.
7. I don't believe my phone vibrates any longer when I receive a notification for incoming text or email.
After upgrading to Gingerbread I'm noticing that playing music via media players causes my Atrix to either lock up or spontaneously reboot. This is happening even after a factory reset. This had so far occured with Winamp (which I haven't reinstalled since my factory reset), Amazon MP3 and Google Music Beta. This has occured both while I was listening to the music on my Bluetooth headset (Jawbone ICON) and also just playing it back via the built-in speaker.
New Quantico W845 owner here. Frustrated to the point of returning it to store. I have repeatedly tried to get this phone to play music that was transferred.I put in a 8g memory card. I formatted the memory card. I have repeatedly and meticulously followed the directions to transfer music from my PC to the phone via USP. The card seems to be storing it, as it decreases in the amount of available memory as I add songs. All are in the WMA format, which the phone's instruction booklet indicates it will accept and play.
I'm about 2 seconds from returning my Xoom Family Edition. I am furious at the fact I can't do something as simple as play music with the screen off without hearing static and constant clicking through my headphones. Only when the screen is off, too. Is this a common problem? Even my first gen single-core droid X doesn't behave this way when I play music using the very same apps with the screen off. It handles it fine, no clicks, no pops, no static, no bullcrap. Why is my supposedly "powerful" machine
