This morning my phone said it needed to update. I hit continue and the last thing I know my screen has gone black, has the motorola symbol center of the phone and at the top left corner it says failed to boot 2 starting RSD mode....what does this mean and what do I need to do?
I have already taken the battery out...but that didn't work.
I have really nothing done! After I have received the phone. I have used it some time... I have installed some free apps. Then the battery was empty after some hours. I didn't charged it! After a while the phone has turned by it self off. I used the usb cable to charge him.
I tried to turn the phone on, but there was no reaction. I only could seen that the green led goes on and off after a time when I pressed on the on/off button. I thought that battery was completely discharged, so I left it to charge.
After an hour, tried to turn the phone on, BUT it doesn't start! I really don't know what it is.. Only the green led goes on and off when I press on the button. Also when I put the usb cable in to the phone, the green led goes on and the after a while off.
I am setting up my email accounts and I have two AOL emails and one gmail.When I click on AOL tab and enter in my email address and password the phone says I already have that account.It is not on the phone though. Is there anyway to reset the Accounts page back to default to start all over?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy phone was charged at 100% and was on the charger when this happened. Basically the phone froze for about 5-10 seconds and then the screen went black. I haven't been able to get it to turn back on. I've tried the hard restart (power and volumn buttons held down together) and I've tried connecting it to my computer but nothing works. Is there anything else I should try? Or do I need to just take it back to the AT&T store? I've only had the phone for a week and a half, so it's still within their 30 day thing.

I have searched for a way to back up contacts to the computer but all I've found is how to back them up to an SD card.
(I understand that if they are in google contacts, I'm safe, and my phone has that, but the other Atrix in our home has many of the contacts saved as a Motorola contact.) That Atrix also does not have an SD card!
I was on the driving range today when a storm blew in. I usually have my phone in my pocket with the screen towards my leg. I keep it in an otter box commuter case. Well it was screen out and I got water in the screen. I am looking for a way to sync all contacts and calendar entries from all accounts (corporate sync, yahoo, etc...). I will want to put this on the new phone I get next week through my insurance.
The phone is not damaged in any other way. Just the screen is getting condensation and it is growing to a larger area of the screen. I figure I have paid more than enough insurance premiums to get a replacement phone.
PS This is the first time I really miss having a blackberry. You just plug in your phone, open desktop manager, and click prepare to transfer to new phone. It backs everything up don't to text messages.
Just got the Atrix (ME860, Android 2.2.2) and I really liked the main screen's 3D style display of the 5 different sections (Weather, Tools, Messages, Main screen, etc.) where I could just swipe my finger and switch between them. But for some reason this option dissapeared (maybe when I installed the gmail app?). I can't see that little middle button on the bottom of the main page where I use to press and be able to flip between those 5 screens. Is there any way to get that back? (of course without resetting the phone back to factory settings).
View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I'm getting in my car and hit the button to turn on the phone screen, then slide the unlock icon to the right to get to my screen, then try to start an app, I have to fight the phone to stay on over and over and over and over.There is plenty of battery life, so that isn't the issue. Sometimes it goes black immediately after sliding the unlock button right. Sometimes it goes black again when I click on an app on my home screen. Sometimes it goes black again after opening the app. Sometimes it goes black again after I click on something in the app.When this occurs, I can have to go thru hitting the on button and sliding the unclock icon right multiple times, sometimes 2 or 3 times at each of the steps as described above.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use my Atrix as a mp3 player when at the gym so I don't miss any calls or texts. I was at the gym the other day and my phone reboots on it's own. When it restarts, the stock motorola music player is gone from my phone. I checked the app drawer and under manage applications, it looked like it was deleted. I then reboot my phone 3 times, to no avail. Music player is gone. I am not a huge fan of it because it sometime skips, but it's the only one that give me the ability to skip a song while the phone is locked. A few days pass and it happens again while I am using Winapp, but this time when the phone restarts, the music player is back.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the Jelly Bean update on my two month old Atrix HD yesterday. Then my apps started closing on their own and then the homescreen started doing the same thing. Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had a problem with applications starting GPS. First Maps/Navigation, and confirmed with GPS Status. All location servers are enabled in Settings (Google Location services, Standalone GPS services, VZW location services). I'm outdoors when I'm performing these test with a clear view of the sky.
I'll start Maps, find a location, and choose to get 'Driving Directions.' It stops at "searching for GPS." The GPS icon in the notification bar never turns on. I've downloaded GPS Status, and it also doesn't show the GPS icon in the notification bar and therefore doesn't attempts to lock on. I haven't seen other forum posts about GPS problems where the icon doesn't show.
This is sporadic and doesn't happen all of the time when I use the app. But it has occured, between the two apps, about 6 times in the week I've owned the phone.
A work-around that has worked 2 out of 2 times so far is for me is to go into settings, toggle both "Standalone GPS services" and "VZW location services." Then go back into the app and the GPS starts and the icon shows in the bar and everything works. Simply toggling "Standalone GPS services" does not fix the problem, I also must toggle "VZW location services." I haven't tried toggling only "VZW" yet. Everything works fine for a while and then the app breaks again later.
My VZW rep isn't quite sure. She sent me a link that takes you to a page that just asks for a username and password. No explanation as to WHICH username or password and no info when it fails as to what it is looking for. She told me it would take 3 days once it go to them. Which I might point out was NOT what we were told about it being end-user upgradable to 4G once it came out.Verizon's info shows you how to do a backup and then pack it for shipping, but no info on how to GET the shipping materials or address.
I called VZW today and the tech in Enterprise Support didn't know.I'm about to hop onto the Verizon website and use my personal account an initiate a chat session to find out.
My son is in the Army stationed overseas. We've skyped on my laptop but I really have my Xoom with me far more often. Is it possible to set skype to always run so he can find me whenever he's on?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having an issue where the GPS indicator blinks non-stop (indicating the phone is actively using GPS) every time you start the phone (reboot)?
Anytime I cycle the phone, the GPS searches and apparently does not stop. If I use the GPS Toggle widget (the included one) and toggle it off and then on, it stops until an application uses it.
I have checked and do not see an app that would use GPS starting automatically. If I can, I will be reporting it to the developer.
My Defy kept restarting approximately 5 seconds after starting up. Without being able to access any settings I tried a factory reset via the on button / volume down button. I'm not sure how long this should have taken but decided after a few hours of nothing more than a yellow dot moving across the screen that it wasn't working. Button presses / screen taps had no affect so I pulled the battery.On powering it up it now either gets as far as the Moto Blur or T-Mobile logos but just hangs there. Further attempts to factory reset give the same result as the first time.I've noticed two lines of text when accessing the reset screen which read 'E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command' and 'E:Can't open /cache/recovery/caller'. I think these were present at the first attempt but I'm not totally sure of this.In cast it's relevant the phone shipped with Eclair, I changed this to Froyo using the Motorola software upgrade some months ago, it had been working fine since apart from not saving photos (?).
