im getting this error code when i tried to update my profile, and sometimes when i update my PRL, sprint gave me like 4 different answers, wonder if anyone has 1 consistent answer here.
I had a photon and used it for a month until I realized that I could not live without a keyboar. I turned it back in and now have an Admiral. There are lots of apps in the Marketplace that I had on my Photon that I cannot find for the Admiral. For instance, Words with Friends. I had it on the Photon but can't find it now with the Admiral.
I like this feature especially when driving, however, could it be modified to first wake the screen if it's blank then wait for a second press to end the call? If a notification appears during a call, there's no way to see it without hanging up on the caller.
I've had a strange, but very frustrating behavior on my phone twice recently. My alarm will go off, but it will not make any sound whatsoever. I have the app alarm clock extreme and the regular android alarm. During this time, neither will make any sound. The default alarm will vibrate, but alarm clock extreme will not - although it should. A soft reset will fix the problem. Additionally, my ringtones will not make any sound when someone is calling. I'm trying to remember how the behavior was this morning, but I feel like pressing the volume up and down keys while the alarm was going off first snoozed my alarm, but then beeped to let me know the volume level.
My Admiral freezes/lags when dialing/redialing and the Touchscreen is unresponsive. Its really bad on missed calls. I can hit the green dial icon 20 times in a row and nothing happens. Finally wait for about 30-60 seconds and it will dial.
I routinely reboot. Not running alot of apps. Latest firmware. I've also noticed the browser is slow to render webpages no matter how fast the connection is.
Just got a Sprint Admiral, paired my bluetooth with it easily enough (Blueant T1), but at random, the phone will disconnect and reconnect bluetooth.I have actually watched the bluetooth icon go dark, then light back up so I know it is not an issue with the earpiece itself. It is becoming very annoying, and talking to others who have this phone, they have reported the same issue with other bluetooth earpieces.
I just recently bought the Motorola MOTOACTV because I have the Motorola Admiral, and they are supposed to be able to work together. However Google Play states that the Motorola Admiral and the MOTOACTV app are not compatible. And while the latest release states that the MOTOACTV app should work with all Android 2.1 and higher, the Motorola rep that I called (level two, ID 5545142) states that the app will only work with the RAZR, which is contrary to everything put out about the MOTOACTV. I'd be interested to know if this is correct.
It's actually starting to get annoying. what is happening is the downloaded ringtones that i have had for about 4 phones now are not working correctly, but thats not the weird part. the thing is its only for CALLS, and thats it. Any kind of phone call ringtone (default or contact) is not working after about half a day of being unplugged from the charger, and the only way to correct this is restart the phone. is anyone else having this problem? It also seems it does it to the ringtones that came with the phone, but just phone calls. TXT, facebook
how to sync Outlook with the Motorola Admiral? I haven't had much luck and it's starting to look as though it might not be possible outside of expensive additional software. I cannot imagine a business phone would be made without that simple function.
was wondering if there is a way to read PDF files on the admiral? i've tried alot of apps to do this with but nothing works. i need to read them because of my job, and i dont want to carry a laptop if i can avoid it( composing, reading, sending, and opening PDF files...
P.S all it says when i try to open one is" the document cannot be opened because it is not a valid PDF file"
I have no use for Direct Connect on my admiral. I don't know a single person who I can use it with. I've turned it off in the settings, but is there some way to remove the icon from my icon tray? And I'd also love to be able to change the functionality of the DC hardware button.
Why are most downloads from the adroid market requiring wi-fi to dowload? The other day I tried to download an app that was less then 1mb and it kept telling me to use wifi becuase of the size of the file. Is there any way to change this?
I am working on an application that does some work once per day.As part of the testing process for applications that use this functionality I generally go into Settings->Date & Time and turn off automatic. Then press Set Date and jump the day forward by one or two, so that I can simulate a day passing and see that my application acts appropriately. On this device (Motorola Admiral) when I press Set Date I do get the date picker dialog, just as expected. However when I select a date and press the set button this date doesn't seem to get stored correctly.
Sometimes the line underneath "Set Date" which shows what the date is set for will get updated correctly and show the date that I've just entered. But other times it will just stay displaying the current date. And in either case if I back out of the settings the system still things that it is the current date, rather than the date that I've just entered. Can anyone shed some light on what I need to do in order to be able to properly set the date manually on this device?
I need an option to have a chirp for Group and a different chirp for DC. I think the default for nextel in the past has been the same single chirp for both just at different speeds, Group being a slower double chirp and DC being a faster double chirp.
It appears yet another Motorola phone is suffering from random rebooting. Has anyone else had trouble with this? I notice it more when there is low/no network coverage (Thanks Sprint). It happened to me three times yesterday alone. I was in Wilmington, NC. There is very little Sprint 3G coverage out there. My battery was near full,
I go into a roaming area, come back into a service area with sprint and try to use the DC. It doesn't work. The notification bar shows a walkie talkie with a circle and slash through it. I try to make a call on the DC and i get this message " please wait for DC set-up to complete before attempting a DC call". A few seconds later... " Unable to set up DC service". My service status is 3 bars and 3G, I waited for an hour and a half before shutting the phone off then powering back on. DC started working again. All of my DC settings are correctly set up. It does not do this all of the time.
Anyone ever see this? My contacts constantly freeze, sometimes to the point where it takes 5 minutes to work through the kill all apps, force close, wait, etc to get to the dialpad or contact names and make a call. Not farmiliar enough with Android to figure this out.One of the reoccuring messages is - Activity Dialer (in application Contacts Storage) is not responding - Force Closed/ WaitI believe it has something to do with the contacts because I have also loaded the app Tikl, and when it asks for my contacts there is 20 or so of the same contact and it then freezes when I try to scroll through them...I have deleted a few apps that appeared to run without being loaded. I use Battery Dr. to kill the apps.
know if there is a way to transfer applications from the phone memory to SD card? I tried using the android assistant tools and used App 2 SD buth when I chose an applkication to move it a message comes up: "Sorry! the applications setting(process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force Close."
When I receive a Direct Connect my Admiral does not make a chirp noise as my traditional nextel phones have made. All it does is vibrate and make the low beep, the tone that lets you know the other person is done talking. This is very inconvenient as now every time my phone vibrates I have to look and make sure I didn't get a direct connect. I have searched through the phone to find a setting to change but have had no success so far.
At least 5 or six times since I got this phone a month ago the BT will turn off during a call. 2 different H730 headsets do it, as well as the Belkin Aircast, so I know it must be the phone. I turn off the headset by closing the boom and re-opening, but it doesn't link back up. I have to toggle BT in settings to get it to work again. Someone tell me they didn't sneak in windows 95 into my phone!
Much like using the tab button on the keyboard of a desktop to select something and then pressing enter. Is there a way to use the keyboard on the Admiral to accomlish this? Do any of the keys work like arrow keys?
I've noticed that many of my contacts get arbitrarily grouped together. For example, two contacts named ron will become one contact and if either ron calls me, only the contact info for one shows up. So far, I'm only synching contacts with my exchange account. How I could alter my contacts to avoid this? I know I can split them manually, but with over 2400 contacts, I'm not sure which ones are grouped and aren't. I also don't want my users to have to continually split synched public contacts.
