was wondering if there is a way to read PDF files on the admiral? i've tried alot of apps to do this with but nothing works. i need to read them because of my job, and i dont want to carry a laptop if i can avoid it( composing, reading, sending, and opening PDF files...
P.S all it says when i try to open one is" the document cannot be opened because it is not a valid PDF file"
I had a 1GB SD card that was full so I swapped in a 16GB memory card. The old SD card files show on my PC but I cannot get the PC to see the new SD card. I was thinking that I would put the old SD card in the phone, move the pictures (or as many as I could at one time) to the internal memory, mount the new SD card and move them to it. I cannot find a way to do this. Is there an app that I can download that will facilitate this? I also tried downloading the Admiral software for my PC, and it installed, but it will not work when I try to use it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had a strange, but very frustrating behavior on my phone twice recently. My alarm will go off, but it will not make any sound whatsoever. I have the app alarm clock extreme and the regular android alarm. During this time, neither will make any sound. The default alarm will vibrate, but alarm clock extreme will not - although it should. A soft reset will fix the problem. Additionally, my ringtones will not make any sound when someone is calling. I'm trying to remember how the behavior was this morning, but I feel like pressing the volume up and down keys while the alarm was going off first snoozed my alarm, but then beeped to let me know the volume level.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Admiral freezes/lags when dialing/redialing and the Touchscreen is unresponsive. Its really bad on missed calls. I can hit the green dial icon 20 times in a row and nothing happens. Finally wait for about 30-60 seconds and it will dial.
I routinely reboot. Not running alot of apps. Latest firmware. I've also noticed the browser is slow to render webpages no matter how fast the connection is.

View 15 Replies View RelatedJust got a Sprint Admiral, paired my bluetooth with it easily enough (Blueant T1), but at random, the phone will disconnect and reconnect bluetooth.I have actually watched the bluetooth icon go dark, then light back up so I know it is not an issue with the earpiece itself. It is becoming very annoying, and talking to others who have this phone, they have reported the same issue with other bluetooth earpieces.

However Google Play states that the Motorola Admiral and the MOTOACTV app are not compatible. And while the latest release states that the MOTOACTV app should work with all Android 2.1 and higher, the Motorola rep that I called (level two, ID 5545142) states that the app will only work with the RAZR, which is contrary to everything put out about the MOTOACTV. I took a bunch of photos on vacation, went to transfer them to my computer via USB cable, and was dismayed to find they came across as "unknown files". When I first connected it to the network I could see all the other devices and download shared files from the computers to my droid. I could view all the devices on the droid. Now I can't view any of the devices ( computers ) on my droid nor access any of the shared files. I see the droid connected to the router ( IP and Mac addresses ) I go to the file folder and scan for the shared folders and the IP addresses of these computer are visible, however I can not access any the of shared folders as before. I contacted the service provider ( Verizon ). They tried to say it was a computer issue rather than a cell phone issue. All shared files are marked and set up to be shared to anyone who has access to the wireless network. The computers were check by a computer engineer and fould not to be the problem. I have tried so many areas to resolve this issue as has the computer engineer who checked the computers.
