At least 5 or six times since I got this phone a month ago the BT will turn off during a call. 2 different H730 headsets do it, as well as the Belkin Aircast, so I know it must be the phone. I turn off the headset by closing the boom and re-opening, but it doesn't link back up. I have to toggle BT in settings to get it to work again. Someone tell me they didn't sneak in windows 95 into my phone!
View 12 RepliesDoes anyone notice the bluetooth volume is low when you first make a call? I notice each time I place a call, I have to tap the volume rocker up or down to boost volume to the preset listening volume. I've tried this on two separate headsets and both results are the same. I do make sure the volume is at the max on the my headset (plantronics hd pro) I am not sure if this a normal function on the admiral to protect the eardrum from unexpected sound.
View 14 Replies View RelatedJust got a Sprint Admiral, paired my bluetooth with it easily enough (Blueant T1), but at random, the phone will disconnect and reconnect bluetooth.I have actually watched the bluetooth icon go dark, then light back up so I know it is not an issue with the earpiece itself. It is becoming very annoying, and talking to others who have this phone, they have reported the same issue with other bluetooth earpieces.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing the BB 8350i with the BB branded buletooth I was able to hear the callers name (as stored in my contacts) or the incoming number on on the BT. I'm now using the Motorola H730 BT and all I hear is Call on Phone One. I know that I can set the phone to read the ID on incoming calls but sometimes the phone is in my jacket pocket and I don't always hear the ID.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI know we can change the call alert sound. That's easy enough to find. Has anyone found a way to change the chirp itself? I am speaking of the Talk Permit chirp. I figure if the DuraMax and DuraCore can change the sounds, we should be able to. They have like 6 or 7 changeable chirps in the event you don't like a loud beep. I personally would like a subtle tone when I have my ear piece in driving down the road or when I'm at work. An 80dB blast to the eardrum at 4000 Hz kind of stings.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had a strange, but very frustrating behavior on my phone twice recently. My alarm will go off, but it will not make any sound whatsoever. I have the app alarm clock extreme and the regular android alarm. During this time, neither will make any sound. The default alarm will vibrate, but alarm clock extreme will not - although it should. A soft reset will fix the problem. Additionally, my ringtones will not make any sound when someone is calling. I'm trying to remember how the behavior was this morning, but I feel like pressing the volume up and down keys while the alarm was going off first snoozed my alarm, but then beeped to let me know the volume level.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Admiral freezes/lags when dialing/redialing and the Touchscreen is unresponsive. Its really bad on missed calls. I can hit the green dial icon 20 times in a row and nothing happens. Finally wait for about 30-60 seconds and it will dial.
I routinely reboot. Not running alot of apps. Latest firmware. I've also noticed the browser is slow to render webpages no matter how fast the connection is.
Just wanted to start a discussion on battery life. Whether is be pro, or con.What do you think of the current battery life of the Admiral?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought the Motorola MOTOACTV because I have the Motorola Admiral, and they are supposed to be able to work together. However Google Play states that the Motorola Admiral and the MOTOACTV app are not compatible. And while the latest release states that the MOTOACTV app should work with all Android 2.1 and higher, the Motorola rep that I called (level two, ID 5545142) states that the app will only work with the RAZR, which is contrary to everything put out about the MOTOACTV. I'd be interested to know if this is correct.
View 6 Replies View RelatedImmediately after the phone connects to the Bluetooth built in car phone, the "bluetooth in-call volume" of the phone goes to 0. I can't hear a caller until after this volume is raised. I can only adjust it during a call using the volume control on the phone. It stays at that level until the BT disconnects, but the volume is again 0 after reconnecting.Is there anyway to permanently set this volume level? It is a complete pain otherwise. If I can change the volume before a call, not only during, that may be acceptable.More info: I have a Motorola Roadster external phone headset, too, and it doesn't behave this way. The car manufacture claims it is the phone that sets the volume not the car. The car has the latest firmware.

I initiate a phone call, and once on the call, I try to switch to an already paired but not connected bluetooth device. As soon as I select the device in the bluetooth settings screen, the phone reboots itself. Reproducible 100% of the time. Anyway else notice this? The work around is to start with the bluetooth device already connected before the call. I am paired with a Logitech H800.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI received a new bluetooth for Christmas to go with my Defy with Motoblur (a canadian phone) and the Voice Dialler sucks plus the bluetooth instructions are just as bad.It say to refer to your phone's usual manual.So, I would like to know how I can make a call from my bluetooth handsfree using the phone.Based on an older phone I could add a voice tag to each contact and then use that on the bluetooth.This phone doesn't seem to have that option.(It all seems to work fine if I am dialling directly from the phone once the ringing starts.But this is all pointeless as far as I am concerned. How can you be handsfree when your hands are required?)
The phone is running on the Android version 1.5 since Motorola didn't come out with an update on my phone and getting a new one isn't an option.Maybe there is an app in the market place that might work. (I can't even use Google Play because the phone version was not updated)
Well, 181 was SUPPOSED to cure that evil end of call tone while making a call on a bluetooth connection. It nearly breaks my eardrums after every call.I've installed 181. Verified that I have 181 installed. Looked at every possible option to see if there was a way to silence the end of call tone. Nothing.The end of call tone is as loud as ever, post update. I know ICS has a switch for this - at least I am told it is there.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust got the Elite Flip Thursday night (it's now Saturday morning), paired it with Moto Droid Razr Maxx (OTA .181), and yes, I am using the latest MotoSpeak. I noticed that every time I used the EF for a telephone call, once the call was disconnected, usually but not exclusively by the other party hanging up, the Elite Flip would disconnect from the phone and then reconnect. Is this normal? Is there a way to keep the Elite Flip from doing this?

Clean boot (restart), the proximity sensor works fine (when on call it turns screen off, when moved away from face screen on). As soon as I make or receive call via bluetooth (Motorola brand btw.) The proximity sensor stops working. When on call it will not turn the screen off... Rebooting the phone will fix until a call is made/received via bluetooth. This was confirmed with other Moto phones (Photon...) as well as different bluetooth devices.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a iPhone 6 (32gb) OS version 8.1.1 and a Jabra BCE-BT350 bluetooth ear piece. For the last month or two every time I make a call using my bluetooth it rings once on my bluetooth then automatically switches over to my iPhone speaker (not loud speaker, just regular). I have to get my iPhone and manually select my bluetooth device as the speaker, which defeats the safety feature of using a bluetooth. I've had this bluetooth for a while now and never had this issue until recently. Not sure its an issue with iPhone 6, OS 8, settings or Jabra.

It's actually starting to get annoying. what is happening is the downloaded ringtones that i have had for about 4 phones now are not working correctly, but thats not the weird part. the thing is its only for CALLS, and thats it. Any kind of phone call ringtone (default or contact) is not working after about half a day of being unplugged from the charger, and the only way to correct this is restart the phone. is anyone else having this problem? It also seems it does it to the ringtones that came with the phone, but just phone calls. TXT, facebook

I have no use for Direct Connect on my admiral. I don't know a single person who I can use it with. I've turned it off in the settings, but is there some way to remove the icon from my icon tray? And I'd also love to be able to change the functionality of the DC hardware button.
