Mar 8, 2015Last week I got a new phone, Moto X, and transferred a bunch of music into it. Most worked just fine, but 4 albums had a problem. Two of them simply don't show in my library and the other 2 display the following error message when a song from one of them is played: Music playback error - Couldn't play the track you requested.
I've tried clearing Google Play Musics cache and data but the problem wasn't solved. I also cant remove my SD card because I dont have the little key that opens the compartment where its stored.
Moto X (2014) :: Does Smart Lock Work If Encrypt Android L Device
Dec 5, 2014I want my phone to be encrypted, but I also do not want a password/lock screen at home. If I encrypt my device if Smart Lock locations and bluetooth devices will still work? I want to make sure because if I encrypt and it *doesnt* work then I'll need to factory reset and start all over.

Nov 14, 2014After the 5.0 update, I went to add my Moto 360 as a trusted device and when I went to the Smart Lock menu option under Security settings I was surprised that there wasn't a Smart Lock menu option in there.
This is right out of the release notes from motorola: "Android Lollipop adds native support for allowing trusted devices to keep your phone unlocked (such as your Moto 360, a Bluetooth car kit or headset, etc.). Smart Lock replaces the prior trusted device capability in your Motorola phone. Note that you will need to add your trusted devices back after the transition to Lollipop in the Security settings menu under Smart Lock."
Noticed this option missing when your Moto X 2014 was upgraded to Lollipop.

I showed coworkers this when I got the phone but now after the sensor firmware update and moto updates it seems to have stopped working as it was. The wave over the phone still works.

1st issue a text or tweet comes in and randomly the screen is in lock mode just flickering rapidly like its shorting out and goes on for up to 30 + seconds?
2nd issue is when calling out after 3rd ring on speakerphone the speaker starts crackling on the 4th and 5 + rings?

May 30, 2015My Moto X's screen keeps acting strange, at least once a week. The screen is full of horizontal lines, and i can't see much, even with the brightness at the highest. Sometimes it's for a couple of minutes, sometimes for at least an hour. This time, it's been way pas 2 hours. I need to know why it keeps doing this (See Images). I thought it was due to the sometimes high temperature of the phone, but even when it's at a low temperature, it might happen.

Dec 16, 2014I tried to load the latest lollipop on my moto x 2014, while loading through recovery - update from SD, it said "failed" and rebooted and now stuck at Moto logo and that's it.....i tried to clear cache and wipe....reboot, nothing.
People suggested to sideload through ADB the original image, but ADB cant seem to find the device.

Dec 12, 2014Noticed since the Lollipop update that if you spend some time in an app and then return to the home screen, it needs a second or two to redraw everything? It's like the phone isn't keeping the home screen in its memory.
The same for actual apps, too. Every single time I return to Chrome, it needs to reload the page. Or if I open, say Gmail, it's not as quick to open and needs an extra second or two to load up.
I was using Nova Launcher and switch to the stock Google Now launcher thinking it would solve the problem, but no dice.
Moto X (2014) :: Google Play Store Won't Download / Install With Screen Off?
May 8, 2015It seems to be specific to my Moto X and does not occur on my Nexus 5 or Nexus 7. If I have an app updating/installing and turn the screen off, no further action occurs until I turn the screen back on. I actually first noticed this immediately after a factory reset. When trying to update the ~28 apps that were out of date I selected Update and then turned my screen off... After about an hour I turned it back on, and none of the apps had updated. They started updating as soon as I turned the screen on.I have tested this on WiFi and mobile data, and I do have background data enabled and WiFi set to always stay on.

Apr 15, 2015As a fairly new X2 owner (I just switched from an X1 a few weeks ago), one thing that really bugs me is that when I'm on a call that I originate, the phone does not remain on the "call in progress" screen. Instead it goes back to the home screen and if I want to access any "call in progress" options, I have to pull down the notification shade.
Is there any way to change this? Do I have any options?

Jan 10, 2015So I understand Priority Notifications is the new 'silent' mode but I can't get it working so that it has the same functionality as older Android versions.
I've set all priority notifications (events / calls / messages) off and choose to turn on priority notifications indefinitely but each day it reverts back to 'all' so I have to remember to turn it on every day.
Also, when in an app (e.g WhatsApp) and a new message comes through, it still makes a noise even though it's in priority notifications mode!

Apr 28, 2015I can't be the only one! Does your phone go off (active moto voice) randomly throughout the day, when you don't say your launch phrase? I sometimes I am in my car listening to music or out and about talking to other people when randomly moto voice activates itself. Sometimes I replay a song to see it it happens again and it doesn't. The worst part is, my phrase is "powers activate."
