I was just trying to revert to WP8 via the NSU on my ICON today and I keep getting error 0x80131500. Does this mean I will have to wait for NSU to get the Cyan firmware instead of getting it OTA?

I did the Settings>BackUp before I reverted to WP8.
I've tried the hard rest but can't seem to do it. Phone switches on like normal, maybe I am doing it wrong?Is there a way through the phone itself? Maybe under settings that I may have missed?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn trying to find out why my boss and I cannot send or receive each others iMessages I discovered that my phone was displaying the number I was originally assigned when I bought it. However I have ported my old number!
I receive text messages from other people with no trouble, so I assume the ported number is in there somewhere.
Can anyone explain how the phone is hanging on to its old number (I have twice changed it to the ported one in 'settings' but it keeps going back) and is this why the boss and I can't iMessage each other? I don't know any other iPhone users to check with.

My 4s keeps reverting to 3G in the house and I have to pair it with wifi every day. My pad doesn't do this, it picks up the wifi fine as does the laptops and pc in the house

When I go in messages and choose options, hide sent messages, YES and hit save........and then go back to look again, it has changed back to NO. Every time!!!! It doesn't do this for Hide Filed Messages.....just the Hide Sent Messages. It's very weird.

Same thing applies for mail and calendar. Despite numerous restore attempts its still happening and i'm having to use 'Recents' as my contact book which pretty much limits me to an Indian take away and my mum....

I put a custom ROM on my GS2 for the first time, it involved updating a kernel.
However I really don't like the custom rom I installed and now I want to go back to the stock ROM but with the samsung stuff froze/removed.
I'm not sure where to download the stock ROM's from and I'm not sure if I need to change the kernels again.
I got issue from past week, suddenly phones lost my security lock reverted back to swipe. I tried putting face unlock and PIN but after few minutes the phone goes back to swipe to unlock. I don't recall installing any new apps in past few weeks nor installing any phone updates except for app updates for already installed apps

I have set it to Fahrenheit countless times and the next time I go into the calendar it is back to Celsius. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my new bb since october and it's given me a lot of problems. My first bold errored out and was beyond repair. This one is glitchy when I respond to people after they send me a pic or send them a pic and then respond to their response to my pic.Today I wasn't sending a pic, but I was sending regular sms messages. I couldn't access one thread in my sms box and tried what I always do when that happens, pull the battery. When the screen came came back to life, I went to access the thread, but to no avail. It wasn't happening. When that happens the next step is to delete the thread, otherwise I am unable to text with that person. I deleted the thread, but instead my whole screen froze. Popped out the battery, as per usual. When the screen came back I had this message:Uncaught exception: Index 15 >= 15y first thought, pop out the battery and restart, don't click ok. So...that's what I did. Unfortunately, the same message appeared. I tried a couple more times, but same results. So I gave in and clicked ok to move on. Everything seemed normal...except my SMS icon was gone.
I immedately researched this on the boards and did the following in this order:1. popped out the battery again, a couple more times...worth a shot right?2. I read that it could be the theme...so I went into theme and reset factory settings. No improvement. 3. I read I could use the "show all" command by holding alt and clicking any icon...not only did that not work, I couldn't get "show all" to even appear. When I hold alt and click it just accesses the icon.4. Then I tried checking to see if my email and sms messages were seperated. They were under themed controlled, so I put seperated. To no avail.
I am receiving text messages; however, I cannot open nor send. When I click on it I get an error message "uncaught exception:java.lang.IndexoutOfBoundsException and I have taken the battery out, and also turned the power off at the icon. Everything else seems to be working fine except for this.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have the icon and have experienced the GPS freezing up on me during a trip. This has happened both with here drive and waze.
Once it happened not five minutes into the trip, the other times were over an hour in. How to correct it?
How do I shut down the here drive app? I am shutting off my location to close it noe, but I know there has to be another way...
New to the icon. Got it on Thursday. Promptly loaded 8.1 developer and ran all the updates. I'm not blown away, but it's nice, I'm not running back to my G2 yet. However I went up north yesterday and as soon as I lost 4g I lost all data. No MMS pics coming through and no weather, Internet.... Made crystal clear phone calls and texts went through, but no data. Played with the network settings but could never get it to go. Others with Verizon, at&t, and cellcom carriers had no issues. HTC, iPhones, motos, none had issues.
So is there an issue with 8.1 developer? Bad phone? Recommended settings for data all the time? I have data roaming options set to roam. Tried GSM and the CDMA settings under the sim card and no changes. Tried rebooting the phone between changes and no luck.
Just did a device switch from Torch 9800 to Bold 9900, everything went smooth except that, now homescreen icons show only 4 icons in a row instead of 6.

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust took the leap from IPhone to the Nokia Lumia Icon despite all the criticism from friends and family who are avid IPhone users. I was a little unsure at first and nervous but when I opened that thing up it was amazing. So about two hours into playing with it I wanted to try my hand at putting music on it. So I plugged it into my computer, nothing, I read everything online about how to do it, and so I kept trying the computer and still nothing. Ehhh I'll figure it out later. I go to charge it at night, nothing. So to make a longer story a little shorter, I took it back to Verizon to get a new one not even 24 hours after I got it. Now I'm super nervous about having an Icon, but so far this is day 3 and I'm loving it. I have all my music on it but I wanted to know if there was anyway to back up the music I have to my computer or is that just something I need to use SkyDrive for?
