Lumia Icon :: Keeping Ringer Volume On High Level?
May 5, 2014I haven't been able to find anything but is there a way to keep the ringer volume high and not controlled by the regular volume?

View 6 RepliesMy Icon drops the ringer volume for some reason. I can set it up to say... 20 or so, and next time I check it, it's back at 13. Very inconvenient as it's in my purse which muffles the sound.
Verizon replaced my first Icon because they thought it was a hardware problem, but this second phone does it too. I still have WP 8.0. I do not get the little down arrow to expand the volume bar . Mine just switches from ring + vibrate to just vibrate. I understand the little down arrow on the volume bar will come with 8.1. Is there anything I can do now to keep my volume up? Verizon mentioned some update that they tried to install, but apparently that wasn't the solution. Is this a common problem with this phone.
This seems like it might be useful for most people: I want my ringer volume low when still or at home etc, and High when on the move. (I don't drive) Any Apps do this? Can it be done by writing my own App?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am experimenting a very weird and annoying problem with my Lumia 900. Since last night the volume level during the phone call became suddenly very very low. I can hardly hear the other speaker. Apparently this is only happening during a phone call in normal mode. If I press the loudspeaker button, for example, I can hear the conversation perfectly as usual. Same using the earpiece: I can hear and talk without any problem. Moreover, the audio output appears to be OK outside the phone call itself: when using apps, music, games or any other feature except the phone call, I can't spot anything abnormal in the volume level, everything appears to work properly.
I would like to point out that:1) the volume level during the call is set to the max. level as usual (10/10)2) the master volume of the device, as set though both right-hand buttons, is set as usual to the max. level (30/30).3) I turned off and on the device at least five times since last night. Unfortunately the problem persists4) I made several tests by dialing different numbers, with no success: the volume level is still very very low during a call.5) I did not notice any other problem in the last days nor the device suffered any "catastrophic" event. In other words, I can only hear a speaker during a phone call either keeping the loudspeaker always on or using the earpiece. It's like my call volume were set to 1 or 2, while it is actually set to 10!I am really surprised, I bought my Lumia 900 end of June and I was very, very satisfied so far
I updated my lumia to the latest firmware. The volume level when the phone rings for the first 1-2 seconds jumps to max. Then a pauses and then comes down to what was set. Why is that?
View 19 Replies View RelatedThe volume on my 1020 has been getting stuck at whatever level I felt it on. For ex: when playing a song at level 10 then playing a YouTube video the volume will stay stuck at 10. Even after pressing the volume up and down does nothing. The only fix I found was restarting the phone but then it just happens again...
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have ringer volume on 25. I work on AC's so it can be a little loud.Prob is that when I open up the phone function and start dialing a number, the keypad volume is at, like, the speakerphone volumeAnd ridiculously loud. Is this a glitch or normal? My keyboard button tap sounds are fine as far as volume, but the phone number key tone is just obnoxiously loud.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just noticed on my Lumia 1020 that when I have a Bluetooth headset connected to it I don't have the option of adjusting the Ringer volume as the slider disappears. You can see in the screenshot that I only get the one slider for Bluetooth volume.
Is this normal? I found below a topic where someone thought it was normal..if I have the headset connected, but sitting on the desk beside me waiting for a phone call, and I want to adjust the ringer volume. I don't want to have it always in my ear when not on a phone call, and I would've thought the ringer volume for the phone should always be available? Volume/Mute for Windows 8.1
My wife's Icon has a busted usb, will not charge or connect to my computer. It will charge wirelessly fine, but how can I get the high res photos off the phone now without usb?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSomewhere I saw this setting to put the ringer on silent when a call comes in. There is a toggle for it somewhere and now I can not find it. It allows you to mute a call ring by turning the phone screen down. Where that setting is? I looked in settings in the phone dialer and also in the ringer and sound settings....don't see it now. Im on denim.

View 24 Replies View RelatedEvery app I have that requires volume to listen works fine. But when I close the app, my ringer volume level is still in app mode volume. The app volume completely takes over my ringer volume level although in settings it never really changed. In order for me to get my ringer volume back to it's set volume, I have to go into settings and move the volume up or down. Then and only then do I have control over the ringer volume with the buttons on the side of the phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe volume warning that pops up when you are plugged into the headphone jack with the volume at 30. The fact that it automatically turns my volume down to 13 is maddening! And it does this at a seemingly random interval.
Any way to turn this super ridiculous "feature" off? It never fails that I'm listening to music, or a podcast, through my portable stereo plugged into the aux jack, and lets just say I was changing spark plugs in a Jeep (hypothetically speaking of course) and I couldn't get to the phone to turn it back up and dismiss the nanny message... Even if I had a set of headphones plugged in, who is Nokia to tell me at what level I can have the volume set?
Just got my shiny new LG G3 and reasonably happy with it. One issue I cant quite seem to resolve is that when the phone rings, the first ring is loud, then the volume drops. Not good when outside or in my pocket. Is there any way to maintain the volume at the higher level?

Seems that even though it's on maximum volume, it's not loud enough.
Just switched to a HTC One dual sim 802d from iphone 5 a few weeks back. One issue I'm facing with the One is the call waiting notification beep volume level is too low. Most of the times, when I'm on a call and if someone else calls my no. I don't even come to know that call waiting was activated as the notification beep volume is just plain too low.
Its okay on speakerphone mode, but when I have the set next to my ear, I just can't hear that beep. Never had the issue with iphone 5 or my earlier Nokia's before the HTC one, on most of these the call waiting beep would be too darn loud and annoying, now its just way to low. Spoke to HTC Tech Support and the guy asked to me increase the Ring volume to max and see if that works, but that too made no difference.
Just updated to Android 4.4.2 a few days back and Sense 5.5
When I do on my newly purchased Samsung Galaxy S6, the volume is way too low to be able to understand anything. If I don't have any noise around me, it's fine, otherwise not. I have the volume all up. I tried this Volume+ app here: [URL] .... but it wouldn't change anything in the volume level.

View 1 Replies View RelatedGot my Z5 last week, loving it so far. However, I have noticed that whenever I get into my car and pair to my stero via bluetooth the audio is always never at 100% even though it was prior to the connection. I am assuming this is some half-baked health and safety issue with volume limiting but I am wondering if there is a setting somewhere I can disable for this. I use Google Play Music, Spotify and Pandora.

View 15 Replies View RelatedHow can I disable the"Raise volume above safe level warning" and set my volume to the loudest volume?
The problem that I have is that the audio is too quiet when using the bluetooth in my car, so every time I have to reboot my phone I have to increase the volume, skip past the warning and then raise the volume.
This happens when I try and raise the volume with either Google Music or Dogg Catcher.
The problem is that due to my work, I have to keep my phone off so I go through this at least twice a day.
I had a search but I couldn't find anything that was relevant to the Galaxy S6.
