View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy is Windows Phone having version 7.5 if it still can't set different volumes for music and notifications... When I listen to radio the volume setting of 1 is often loud enough, if I then put it in my pocket I mis all calls as it is not loud enough. If I set it back at level 25 I get woken up at night for incoming mails... BTW, why can't I even define (off-)peak synchronisation intervals for my mails?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been having a serious issue with my Lumia 1020 there is no audio from the phone what so ever. I cant hear people when they ring and they cant hear me. The phone does not let me play music on it or play videos unless I go onto the internet and look at a youtube video but there is still no sound from it. Another issue is that when I go onto the camera app and select to take a video the phone closes its self out of the app. It does this same thing in other apps were I try to play any type of audio. There is no volume control because when the buttons are pressed a small gray strip across the top of the screen appears and goes away after a couple of seconds. Mechanically the buttons work as a have performed multiple master resets on the phone which involves using the volume down button.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it possible that on the next firmware update, the volume control for the music and ring/message tone is separated?
Like when you're listening to music, when you press the volume rocker, it will set the volume just for the music and not the current volume setting of the message/ring tone?
Noticed the speaker volume for ringtones and music and such is much quieter than the Lumia 928? On volume 25 or so it sounds as loud as my 928 at like 16 or 17...

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Icon drops the ringer volume for some reason. I can set it up to say... 20 or so, and next time I check it, it's back at 13. Very inconvenient as it's in my purse which muffles the sound.
Verizon replaced my first Icon because they thought it was a hardware problem, but this second phone does it too. I still have WP 8.0. I do not get the little down arrow to expand the volume bar . Mine just switches from ring + vibrate to just vibrate. I understand the little down arrow on the volume bar will come with 8.1. Is there anything I can do now to keep my volume up? Verizon mentioned some update that they tried to install, but apparently that wasn't the solution. Is this a common problem with this phone.
The volume warning that pops up when you are plugged into the headphone jack with the volume at 30. The fact that it automatically turns my volume down to 13 is maddening! And it does this at a seemingly random interval.
Any way to turn this super ridiculous "feature" off? It never fails that I'm listening to music, or a podcast, through my portable stereo plugged into the aux jack, and lets just say I was changing spark plugs in a Jeep (hypothetically speaking of course) and I couldn't get to the phone to turn it back up and dismiss the nanny message... Even if I had a set of headphones plugged in, who is Nokia to tell me at what level I can have the volume set?
I haven't been able to find anything but is there a way to keep the ringer volume high and not controlled by the regular volume?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 Navigation DVD in my car and the bluetooth with my new iPhone 4 does not allow the volume to be adjusted, like I could do with the 3G iPhone.
So, the caller's voice is really loud and the echo is very bad. On the 3G I could use the volume buttons on the iPhone to turn down the caller's voice which made the echo mostly go away. Now, the volume buttons do nothing.
Anyone having problems with their jawbone or other headsets? I was thinking I may have to switch to one of those instead...?
I cannot adjust the volume. Clicking on the volume just changes from headphone to speakers.

I'm looking for a way to control my S6's mic's volume/gain input level, for weeks now, and I have found nothing.
The reason why I'm looking for a way is so that when I'm recording some video in a louder environment the sound gets blown out, cause the phone just can't handle the gain control automatically, so I'd like to lower it manually to have nice sounding recordings.
I think the title says it all. Is there a way to adjust the volume for the alarm tone, because as it seems its set to a very loud setting and this is something that is inconvenient for me.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Bold 9650 in the holster while I work out in the gym and I've been listening to Pandora. I've noticed that the volume controls on the right side of the device will not work while the device is in the holster. If I take it out of the holster, the volume buttons work fine. Is there any way to enable these buttons while the holster is being used? I would have thought that they would automatically work by default.

Since the xperia z 3 is a big phone and I carry it in my pocket all the time, sometimes it's really hard to reach the phone to lover or increase the music level. It's a big shame that sony doesn't think of it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy old S2 had the same volume controls - up-and-down rocker on the left side - as my new S6.
On the S2 the rocker raised or lowered the volume on any noise coming out of the phone - music, ringtone, speakerphone, whatever.
It seems the s6 defaults to controlling ringtone volume only. After reading up on it here, I downloaded Rocker Locker to make it default to media instead.
I just discovered by waking my sweetie up that "Media" doesn't include, say, ringtones as you're assigning them to contacts. I started editing the contact, chose the ringtone I wanted, and it started blaring. Volume control had no effect.
What I truly want is for the volume control to do what the S2 one did: control the volume on any noise of any kind at all spewing out of the phone.
My previous phone (HTC One) was able to control applications like Spotify with the volume buttons on the side of the phone even when the phone was locked. I can't for the life of me figure out a way to convince this device to do anything other than volume control with the volume rocker. I'd just like to use the volume control with short clicks, but if I do a long press it doesn't something else (this may have been a feature of Cyanogen that I was using previously?).
I'd like to use a Long hold on up and down to Next Track / Previous Track for Spotify. Right now if I do this, instead it just blows out my ear drums by maxing the volume quickly. Are there apps that allow me to customize what the volume rocker does in specific states?
Also, does this phone not intelligently recognize the difference between headphones being plugged in vs plugging it into an Auxillary jack? That was something else that worked well on my One as well.
Is there an easy way to adjust these at the same time? It's annoying to have to go into the settings to change the notification volume when I change the ringer volume. My S3 changed both with the volume button.
