View 14 RepliesOn my Samsung Ativ S, the navigation bar lights up if you touch the screen but turns off after a few seconds even if the screen is still on. With my 1520 the lights always stay on when the screen is on. They are very bright and wondering why they dont turn off to save battery.

She doesn't have a MicroSD card.
I'm currently looking at trying out the Windows 10 Mobile preview, and much of what I've read says that system resets are needed to make it useable. If I perform one, does my phone remain carrier unlocked?
I have a Lumia 1020, currently unlocked, but it is an AT&T model. Just want to be safe before I do it.
My one month old Lumia 510 reboots automatically?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my 950 for about 15 hours now and this morning it has restarted no less than 6 times after about 15 - 30 minutes. Not doing anything with the phone, it is just sitting there on my desk plugged into the computer and it restarts. When setting up my phone I used the restore of a backup created from my Lumia 925 so it was not technically a fresh install.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI would like to share this problem i'm having with my lumia 800, and possibly see if someone has a solution to it.After buying this phone from Orange in France a few days ago, it has been making random reeboots 10 to 15 times a day. It could be when I'm writing a sms or using any app at any time, the phone just suddenly goes "au revoir" and reboots! Sometimes it does it twice or 3 times successivelyHard resetting the phone so far hasn't done any good...
View 19 Replies View RelatedTried a few searches, but didn't find anything specific to the subject.Received my Lumia 920 last night, and since then it has either hung or rebooted randomly over a dozen times. It seems to happen mostly when navigating through screens or accessing apps. It will sit and stream music from the Nokia Music service fine... I have to perform a reset to recover the phone when it hangs.

Original configuration , no insiders preview.Whenever we browse through whatsapp , whatsapp freezes and reboots the phone. We uninstalled whatsapp , reinstalled but that hasnt worked at all.
On my Lumia 950 ive noticed keyboard to stop working inside whatsapp and eventually causing phone to reboot. I am not sure whats causing the issue. Issue is on Wifi as well as cellular data. Its affection both 950 and 550. Today whatsapp update did not fix the issue.
I don't know what it is but while using Here Drive for navigation, the phone has rebooted both times. The 2nd time, Here Drive act like it's starting up for the first time, settings, downloading maps etc.

Should I try a hard reset or return the phone?
I have just bought a Lumia 920 today, and now have the problems described in the thread subject... Every few minutes while idle, the phone will power down and immediately power up again. This does render the phone useless to me.. When trying to shut it down to remove the SIM card I noticed I cannot even shut it off. It would instantly turn itself back on again.
Did anyone else notice this kind of behaviour from their Lumia 920 (or maybe other phones as well)? I was really looking forward to this device and this really ruins it for me
As above on o2 had it almost a month now, had a few freezes in the first week but were few and far between. In the last week or 2 though they have been getting progressively more and more and now in the last couple of days have also been joined by random reboots.
I haven't been able to trace them to any installed app as they happen completely randomly, it also seems to be independent of any connectivity setting. o2 will exchange the phone for me but I can't make it crash to prove to them its faulty, if indeed it is.. Have looked on the site but can't find anyone with similar problems or any indication of what it may be.
My Lumia 920 has issues disconnecting from voice calls when I hang up a fraction of a second after the person on the other line. I almost always get a call was dropped message. I had my phone reboot and get stuck on the Nokia splash screen once.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was sitting at my desk and all the sudden I hear a high pitched whistle or whine coming from my phone. I picked it up and it is locked. I can't turn it on, I can't turn it off and it just keeps making that noise. A minute later, the noise stops and the phone reboots.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have used my Icon fine with the Preview for Developers version of WP 8.1, until the latest update.Since then, I've had trouble booting the phone when doing a soft reset (it took 3 cycles of going to the red Verizon screen, sitting there for a minute, rebooting on its own before it loaded WP). Also, I had an issue with the lock screen becoming unlockable, and looking like a screenshot of the start screen... kind of hard to describe, but the Start screen slid up like the lock screen, but without the keyboard to unlock. That's happened twice in the last few days and I had to do soft resets (which led to the issue mentioned above).
Today, the phone spontaneously just rebooted itself, while sitting unused on a table. Very odd, haven't seen that before.I should mention that when I first installed the update, I got a Blue Screen error when it booted up, and I had to reboot manually.
I have a Nokia 1020. It has worked very well for me until recently when I bought an Qed UPlay bluetooth receiver for my stereo.Previously I had bluetooth disabled always on my 1020 but now I have it on the most of the time. What I've noticed is that my phone is restarting constantly. It seems to be connected to when I have bluetooth and wifi enabled. Or at least when I have bluetooth enabled. The phone can restart a couple of times a hour. Since yesterday evening I have had 6 restarts. That I know about...
The bluetooth settings window also hangs, I can't do anything, can't connect/disconnect from the Qed and I can't disable bluetooth. When I try a progress bar is showing that it is working but it never changes to disabled. Also, when this is happening I also can't disable wifi, the same issue with progressbar.
The wifi status bar also sometimes is in the "connecting to a wifi"-animation. It can be in this mode in hours, and of course, doesn't connect to any wifi allthough I have two which are available.I usually have to restart my phone to be able to disable/enable bluetooth/wifi.I had this issue before GDR3 and Nokia Black. And still have it after updating to Nokia Black.
Over the past couple weeks I've been having occasional freeze ups and spontaneous reboots of my phone. Sometimes the phone will unfreeze and other times I have to do an extended hold of the power button to force a reboot. It may not be locking up so much as the touch screen could be unresponsive.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a 1320 that I got brand new back on Black Friday from Cricket. The problem is after it has been on for a while, the wireless and/or bluetooth or both shutoff. When I bring the status bar down, the wireless icon and/or the bluetooth icon will be cleared out and not active. If I try to turn it back on, nothing happens, the icons stay black. I reboot and usually that fixes it but not always. Sometimes I have to reboot it a couple of times.
Also my phone sometimes reboots when I'm using the GPS to track my bike rides when the phone is in my bag. I know that because when I get to the end of my ride and check the app, Cyclometer, it stays "it has been shut off, do you want to resume" or something to that effect and then I resume it and a portion of my ride is missing from when it apparently has rebooted. I also have had it reboot on me in the middle of something that doesn't happen often.
My phone is on 8.1 and has no more pending updates. this is eating up my data plan because I normally use wireless at home. I also can't use my bluetooth speaker while riding because if I connect my bluetooth speaker to my phone, the bluetooth will shut off after about 15-25 minutes of use. It first starts to become somewhat intermittent for couple of minutes then bluetooth shuts off altogether.
my blackberry was dropped in the water, and i did everything i could do to dry it, and now the LED will stay on then off and again on then off, meaning that it flashes but with a long sequence.
so i know that i should try installing a new OS, which I did. but it comes to the point (waiting for initialization) and the phone should boot up, but all it does is that it flashes the LED with the same sequence again as if i did nothing
Everytime i have my torch outside of the holster the screen will never turn off, even if i press the lock button, the screen will go off and then back on in less than a second. this is becoming quite annoying and is draining my battery
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had my BB Torch for about 3-4 months. Today I came home and was talking on the phone. Everything seemed ok. Then I tried making a phone call and it kept hanging up. Was able to finally make the call. Then the battery went on red and asked to be recharged. I plugged it in. It turned itself off while lights on the green and red buttons on the front of the phone were flickering. Still doing it every time it reboots. It's not turning on. Took the battery out. Rebooted a few times and it turned itself off again. It says to stop turning it off to press any key, but it's not working. Then it stayed on for a couple of seconds and it said that it's in safe mode. Tried to press the reset option, but it turned itself off again. Took the battery out again for 5 minutes. Put it back in. It rebooted. Stayed on for a couple of minutes. Tried to update the software, but it turned itself off again. Still not turning back on. It was really hot outside today and I was sweating. Figured that maybe it got wet, but I looked at it and nothing looks to be damaged.

However, the phone randomly disconnects from WiFi...well, not really disconnects, but until I take the phone out of standby mode, the WiFi logo doesn't appear at the top of the screen, and I have no connection until I do that.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a frustrating issue on my new LG G4 H815. Any photos I take with the standard photo app appear in Google photos and the gallery. When I delete them from Google Photos, they also are erased from the gallery. BUT, the next day (about a 24 hour cycle it would seem), when I check both google photos and the gallery, the photos have repopulated. However, when I log into google photos online, those deleted photos are gone - so somehow the photos on my phone are not actually being deleted, even though appearing that way at first.
I have tried deleting from the gallery, but that doesn't seem to work either and also I WANT to delete these files across both my cloud storage on google photos and on the phone. I have also emptied the trash on google photos, but still the repopulation occurs the next day. I do have Flickr Auto-backup running, but have disabled it before with no change in result. I even bought a new SD card a few days ago because I read that could be the issue, but that has not worked. I also tried clearing the data under the media storage app to rebuild the media database.
I've had my white G6 for about 3 months now and haven't had any problems until the past few days. I used to be able to connect the BT to several devices: cars, ear piece, speakers, etc, but now the BT won't even stay on long enough to connect to anything. I hit the BT button, it will stay on for about 8 seconds and then turn off.
I did the BT force close, clear cache and it still won't turn on. I did a factory reset this morning and I am still unable to turn on BT.
I searched through the forum and didn't see anything like this - most of the BT issues are about connecting to a device. Mine won't even stay on.
I have a couple weeks old Galaxy S6 that was working great until suddenly today the Bluetooth stopped working..
I turn the phone on from the OFF state.
When it boots, I open the app drawer and choose Settings. Then Bluetooth.
In the Bluetooth screen the switch is toggled off, now I tap the switch to turn it on and it turns green. The text "Turning on.." appears and all looks well, but then suddenly the switch just toggles back to the OFF position again!
I've tried turning it on repeatedly, same thing happens. Have tried toggling it from the pull down menu, and same thing.. It just turns on for 10 seconds then back off again.
It's completely not useful, not a single error message or anything.. Impossible for me to troubleshoot
I tried uninstalling all my apps, didn't fix it.
Had my Sprint gold 64gb S6 since the 12th and have noticed that when I turn off WiFi and get close to a place I've connected before it will automatically connect to it - how to get it to stop this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 2G (first iPhone) that was bought in 2007 locked to AT&T. I've recently had it unlocked by AT&T through iTunes. The problem is, it doesn't stay unlocked.1. With the iPhone unlocked, I was using a Meteor sim. Then I changed to an O2 sim. Immediately as I put in the O2 sim, the iPhone locked back up again and required reconnecting to iTunes to unlock again.2. A while later I wanted to use the internet. I went to settings and saw that wifi was off. So I turned it on. The iPhone immediately locked itself back up again, requiring it be reconnected to iTunes to unlock again.
