Since the last update to the Outlook email program whenever I try to send an email I have to type out the entire email address. Previously it would automatically pull the address from my contacts as I started to type it. How do I get Outlook to connect to my contacts list again?
View 1 RepliesI spent ages yesterday individually connecting each phone contact to their fb account and then today all of a sudden they all just dissapeared again! I don't want every fb 'friend' to appear in my phonebook, so how on earth do I do this so that it's not going to delete them all each day. This phone won't defeat me, it has such good reviews so I am baffled why I am having problems.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my Nokia Lumia 920 a couple days ago, made all the updates alvaible but still I can't connect my phone to my MacBook Pro.The funny part is that my dropbox application on my mac detect my phone and tries to import my pictures where neither iTunes or Finder are able to recognize my Nokia. The all support we got is to download a app which is not working for the OSX 10.6.8 and they seem to force us to upgrade to the 10.7 OSX.It is my right, as a consummer, to choose to OS I want for my laptop and it is to both Windows and Nokia to make their devices compatible to their customers computers.So here is my call to all Nokia and Windows developpers: Do not ignore us, there is a problem and the first step in order to solve it is to recognize this problem.The least you can do is to tell us that you are currently working on it because I feel all alone in the dark but I am pretty sure I am not alone and you might loose some clients that are delighted with your phone but really "**bleep**" off the way that they are treated in the process of solving this important problem.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia Lumia 920 and when I first got it I managed to sync it with Windows 8 x64 without a problem. Now when I connect it, it will charge but not connect to the "Windows Phone" app.So far I have tried:
- Re-installing the Windows Phone app.
- Restarting the phone.
- Restarting the PC.
I am using the offical cable that came with my device.
My lumia 900 cannot connect to other phones,always shows not supported.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new 1020 doesn't seem to connect to my PC. My 920 connects just fine, I plug it in, I hear the USB connection sound and the app pops up. But my 1020 on the same cable, nothing. The Device Manager doesn't even pick up that anything is there, though the phone does show that it's being charged. I know it's not the cable, and b/c my 920 works it's probably not the PC. I'm worried b/c I installed 8.1 on both my phones and technically that voids the warranty. So if this is a bad device, I may be screwed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a black lumia 1020. During the initial set up after I press 'next' from the welcome screen I am afterwards asked to sign into my MS account. It does not ask me to first connect to a wifi network. Due to this I can't sync all my backed up information. I know with my lumia 920, out of the box with no sim card inside I was asked to connect to wifi before being asked for a MS account. Is this an issue with the lumia 1020, not being able to sync with a back up file?

From the very start after I entered the PIN code it couldn't connect to my Windows Live ID. The Wi-FI won't work, the cingular won't work etc...
For some strange reason, the Apps from Nokia section of the marketplace app on my Lumia 710 is not able to refresh itself, to the extent that there are two icons not fully loaded. None of the newly available apps appear here (including camera extras and contacts transfer), which I managed to get through a QR code download.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I received somewhat of an update today with my camera, but not a firmware update. After I restarted my phone I was no longer able to connect to my facebook chat. Every message I try to send states "Cannot connect to chat right not, but we are trying." I have tried removing my facebook account from my phone and my windows account from facebook, and it didn't work. I was almost thinking it might be some sort of update I am missing.

I run windows 8.1 and it doesn't recognize. I cannot quite remember if I was having this issue just before going to 8.1...or if it was immediately after.
No problems until recently. I've noticed at Home & Work where I spend 90% of my time the WiFi has not connected (and I end up using my Data Plan). So once I notice it I have to connect manually and its fine. Both networks show up in advanced at "known".

Works beautifully on WiFi the naviation once the maps are downlaoded is perfect and the touch and feel of the phone is absolutely brilliant.A sore point in the past three days is the patchy connection to GPRS on Airtel India. I have spent a few hours with their tech support and they are unable to get me online. I have update the firmware to the latest avaialble - 1750.0805.8773.12220 with no luch in connecting to the GPRS connection. The display shows an "E" next to the signal strength indicator but no luck in conncting.
The steps I have tried so far are as follows: a. Settings - Mobile Netwok - APN set to airtelgprs.com which is recomended. b. Used the default Network Setup software to update the settings,Reset the phone to uninstall all applications and bring back to default state assuming that one of the software issued caused this problem. Is there anything else for me to try before I take it to a Nokia Care centre for trouble shooting?

Ever since this morning my Blackberry 9300 hasn't received any mail. I have two accounts set up on it, a Gmail account and my work webmail account.If I try to go into the email settings, I get message: 'connecting to email settings' and an hour glass and eventually 'your device has a problem connecting to the server'.

Cant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had comcast POP3 email set up and working on K9 email since the phone came out. It has suddenly stopped working on my LG G4. My other 6 email accounts are still working perfectly on K9 (yahoo, att, iCloud and mindspring).
I can still download email normally on my Mac using MacMail. I can still download email on my Droid2 using the default email app (don't ask - I keep it to troubleshoot and play games).
I have installed and tested the default LG mail app, MyMail and they don't work. There have been comments on other email apps that they are not working.
Xfinity Connect works from my LG G4, but functions as a IMAP connection, and deletes email from the server when deleted on the phone, which is obviously NOT what I need.
My phone is driving me mad, suddenly its stopped collecting my emails, i have tried pulling it apart etc and when i try to go to email setup it says that it cannot connect and the next message says "your device had a problem connecting to the server"
