Lumia 1020 :: Facebook Chat Not Connecting

So I received somewhat of an update today with my camera, but not a firmware update. After I restarted my phone I was no longer able to connect to my facebook chat. Every message I try to send states "Cannot connect to chat right not, but we are trying." I have tried removing my facebook account from my phone and my windows account from facebook, and it didn't work. I was almost thinking it might be some sort of update I am missing.

I just got a Nokia Lumia 710, but I am having problems using Facebook Chat in it ( The one integrated with messaging). I have setup windows live and facebook to connect with each other and also imported contacts from facebook into windows messenger. I have turned facebook chat on, synchronized both windows live and facebook accounts on my Lumia, but still when I go to online option in "messaging" it says "No one's online" even when there are actually friends online. It does not show a 500 error or something else, it just says no one's online and doesnt update at all. The consequence of the above is that I cant send chat messages from my phone to facebook chat.

All my friends who are using mobile phones (iphone) are visible through facebook website and i can speak to them from my PC. But why i cant see those friends online, when i use my phone (Lumia 610)? I only see friends who are using PC. When i try manually to find a friend from people hub and i know that he is online from mobile, the message says that this friend i not connected and urge me to send him SMS.

I have just notice tonight that when I was talk to people through the text/messaging app and then suddenly everyone would be offline then after going offline then online it would fix it for a second then do the same thing.

My new 1020 doesn't seem to connect to my PC. My 920 connects just fine, I plug it in, I hear the USB connection sound and the app pops up. But my 1020 on the same cable, nothing. The Device Manager doesn't even pick up that anything is there, though the phone does show that it's being charged. I know it's not the cable, and b/c my 920 works it's probably not the PC. I'm worried b/c I installed 8.1 on both my phones and technically that voids the warranty. So if this is a bad device, I may be screwed.

I have a black lumia 1020. During the initial set up after I press 'next' from the welcome screen I am afterwards asked to sign into my MS account. It does not ask me to first connect to a wifi network. Due to this I can't sync all my backed up information. I know with my lumia 920, out of the box with no sim card inside I was asked to connect to wifi before being asked for a MS account. Is this an issue with the lumia 1020, not being able to sync with a back up file?

I have been having this problem for a while, have to get all creative when trying to dump pics n videos from my phone.
What works: I can hook to my wifes laptop and she runs windows 8
I run windows 8.1 and it doesn't recognize. I cannot quite remember if I was having this issue just before going to 8.1...or if it was immediately after.

Are there any Cloud Storage apps that let you upload High Res pics without connecting it to computer?
Skydrive is limited to 5MB correct? Is there any way around it?
I will be travelling soon and would hate to have to bring my laptop to have to connect the 1020 to in order to transfer the High Res pictures.

I yesterday upgraded my phone contract and purchased a Nokia Lumia 1020 from the Galaxy S2 truth is I wanted to try something different. The phone itself is great, However after going through setting im trying to setup the Facebook lock screen I have gone through the options opened the app and selected how I want it to look but when I lock the phone and open it all I get is a blue screen with the Facebook logo Date and time no picture from Facebook, just a blank blue screen .

When I press the menu on a photo and choose 'share' my only options are messaging, hotmail, onenote and whatsapp.

I just bought a China Unicom branded 1020 RM-876. It doesn't have Facebook or Twitter in Accounts list! I cannot add and integrate FB or Twitter to my contacts. I can install and use the clients but no integration.
How to add these to accounts list? I see a bunch of other Chinese services mentioned along with Hotmail, Outlook, Google and LinkedIn.

Prior to the Cyan update the uploading from camera roll or just after a pic was very fast. Now it opens the Facebook page when you upload and if you leave the page it stops uploading.

So I know with 1020, if I simply share photos on to facebook, it will use the less quality 5MP photos, so I have to download the photos manually on my laptop via usb cord with the phone or from onedrive.. But would I have to download the videos from my phone or onedrive first before uploading on to facebook too, for the highest quality *with the smallest size possible? My videos are easily half a GB!

My Facebook avatar / square on my phone went from the blue Facebook logo to suddenly importing and using the background picture I have on my FB page. I do not want that. I've delete that FB picture and replaced it with just "black" but still the phone is displaying that old background photo. I've pinned and unpinned and it's still there. I've turned the phone off and on. It's still there.

A message keeps apeparing on my curve every few seconds or so. It says "you are attempting to open a secure connection, but the server's connection is not trusted." Then I have 4 options Continue, Close Connection, View Certificate or Trust Certificate. It doesn't matter which one I select and follow, the message still keeps appearing. The cert is for chat.facebook.com, and then when you select it it saysDigiCert High Assurance CA-3.
