I've used Transfer My Data to move contacts from my Lumia 925 to my Lumia 950. I got my emails from the exchange server. Music and pictures, I can get from One Drive. But I can't figure out how to move my SMS texts. I had a back-up of my Lumia 925 on One Drive, but nothing jumps out about moving texts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 950XL. When I got the phone, I did not have a SD card. Once I got the SD card, I moved all the apps from the phone to the card. Everything moved except one app, Candy Crush Saga. Now in my app list it displays as "Pending". It's available in the Xbox app, but I cannot play it. I cannot uninstall/install this, since it is not providing me with any options even on a long-press.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to add more music to my 1520, so I was thinking about getting a bigger microSD card. It's definitely outgrowing my 32GB one, so I have my sights on a 64GB (or maybe even a 128GB). I don't mind having to re-add my music to the new microSD. The major question here is: Can I move my apps (and data) from one microSD to another microSD smoothly and successfully?
I'd really don't want to have to re-download ALL of my apps onto the new microSD card. Downloading my apps to my phone's memory is not an option; the phone doesn't have enough free memory to accommodate my app catalog. I already know how I will do it...it's only a matter of if it can be done.
I'm giving serious consideration to moving to WP and the Icon from Android and a Galaxy S3. I'm not overly concerned about the so-called app gap but I'm curious to hear stories from others who have made this move and how you may have handled moving all of your google contacts and calendar appointments to a Microsoft account. Can I just add the google/gmail account and have the contacts move over automatically?

Also, I've seen threads on here that mention issues with music that has been moved to the cards not being playable. I have enough issues with my phone giving error messages on the music app now without adding another complication.
I made a folder within the camera roll folder, dropped my pics in all together...dragged the folder on to my desktop and POOF - the folder and all the images (except ONE photo copies 17 times) are GONE!!? what do I do?

I'm a heavy user of Outlook 2003; much of my work is done on it, since it functions both as an integrated email client and calendar. View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to move messages from the sent folder to other folders within Mail for Exchange. My company uses Exchange 2007 and sometimes I reply to queries from my N900. However although the N900 does synchronize the sent items folder from Exchange 2007 any outgoing messages are stored in the Sent folder. Therefore any messages I send from the phone are not synchronized back to my desktop Outlook. The only way round this I have found is by bcc'ing myself on all messages which does get quite tedious.
I have tried creating a mobile sent folder in Outlook which then synchronizes to the phone. However when I try moving a message on the phone from the Sent folder to the Mobile sent folder I get an error message "Unable to move to current location."
I have been a fond lover of the Palm operating system for decades but have taken the leap of faith over to my new Nokia 5800. With the Palm, I can organise my Notes into folders (Personal, Business, Other etc) and password protect some of the Notes files.
How do I do this with my 5800? It seems so simple, I am surprised it is not a standard function. Is there a basic App I can download that will help me do this. I have looked but cannot find one (unless I want a full Microsoft Office Suite included).
My phone (a nokia e52) is getting quite low on memory so I want to move my messages to the microSD card. I had, however played with this setting when I first got the phone. Because of this, when I now select the microSD card as the location for messages, the SMS/mms messages received since I first changed that setting are not transferred to the memory card. Does anyone know how to transfer these newer messages? I have tried creating a new folder, moving messages there and then changing the location setting but the new folder and its contacts did not transfer to the memory card.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've just recently installed a 4GB MSD/HC card with a view to freeing up some memory on the phone itself. I was hoping to move all my music, videos and images to the memory card.
The images moved across fine with only a little bit of trouble from "Desktop Photo Applet", but once I redirected it to the card things are now OK there.
I'd also like to do the same with all the music tracks and videos that are stored in phone memory, but as soon as I moved most of the music tracks, media player started going mammaries skyward, complaining it couldn't find tracks. needless to say I moved them back and didn't bother trying to move the videos.
I am currently on my 2nd X6 after the first one had a fault which made the cursor move by itself when composing a message (I always hold it at the regular portrait angle). It would also do the same with the delete button, sometimes I would press delete once, for example on a spelling error and the X6 would just carry on deleting, wiping out all of my message.So I have a new one and exactly the same is happening! The cursor flys around the screen, usually in the backwards direction, making a 30 second message turn into a 5 minute long nightmare. Im on o2, it is the 16 Gb model. Anyone know why it is doing this? I have taken the screen film off as I though that maybe that was interfering with the touch sensitivity, but it seems to be an internal error. It is infuriating losing a message, especially when I am on the move and can't use 2 hands to wrestle with this HAL-like behaviour The very fact I have had to sign in to this forum sums up how poor Nokia devices are.

In this destination I set up wlan as priority 1 and mobile data as priority 2.Phone keeps moving wlan from Internet to Uncategorised destination. If I move it back to Internet it stays for some time and goes back to Uncategorised. Sometimes it happens while browsing. I want to go back one page and phone will show that it can't find the address. Have to go to settings and move it back to Internet destination. Ad nauseam. Did not have this problem on N8. My phone has static IP address on my home modem.

After waiting 2 months for the phone after preordering it in October it seems like things are moving slowly in the development of the phone, correct me if im wrong but there's no mms, no navigation on ovi maps, you can't use the latest PC suite and the biggest bugbear is no music store. Hopefully these things will become available in the not so distant future... maybe im just too impatient!

View 2 Replies View RelatedIve got several albums on my memory card and I would like to transfer the music to the mass drive on the N97, I have dropped an album into sounds, then gone into the player and pressed the refresh option but unfortunately the album doesnt appear whatsoever.
Is there a certain folder that has to be made or even for the music to go into for the player to recognise it? Ive tried reversing the option and putting the album back onto my memory card, the album has disappeared altogether but still shows up for transferring to other folders. Can you possibly tell my where Im going wrong.
There is another problem thats arisen, the phone doesnt recognise the usb lead when attached to either my laptop or main pc, Im buying another lead so Im just hoping that would be an answer to my problem on that part.
There seems to be a fault in N8 where the screen is fine but if you look closely/in pure white or grey backgrounds I can notice the screen flickering where the lines move from the bottom all the way to the top really fast.

I select the cd and drag it to the phone in the bottom left hand corner but then nothing happens.
Cant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.
