Lumia 1520 :: Album And Artist Not Showing Up In Car Bluetooth
Jan 20, 2016I am using Lumia 1520 with latest build of Windows 10. I have a 128gb sd card and if I play music through my car bluetooth in Honda Accord, none of the album and artist information is showing on the car display. Also, I am not able to use my car volume or music controls to control the music. I even tried using music that is not in sd card. Is this a bug in windows 10 phones?

Mar 21, 2015When I do write an SMS to someone I clearly see her name but I get the reply on another thread with the phone number instead of hear name so 2 problem here, why another thread and why the phone number rather the name. Same thing when someone send me an SMS I do receive it as a number rather then the name and when I do reply it creates a new thread with the name of the person.

Feb 4, 2016My Nokia Lumia 1520 fell and the screen glass broke. However the screen was working fine. I ordered a new screen replacement and replaced the screen only to find out that the touch was not working in the new screen assembly so i will return it back.
I put the old screen back again and now i get white tv noise on booting and then the screen goes dark and stays that way. I can hear the sounds from the phone and it does seem like it functions properly but i can't see anything.
I tried soft and hard reset with no luck. What might be the cause for the white noise and dark screen? Could it be a display connector fault on the motherboard?

Mar 23, 2015I have just updated my Z2 to 5.0.2 and the lock screen is not showing anything when I receive notifications (e-mail, text messages, etc.) nor do I see any icon in the status bar unless I unlock the phone.

I have a lock screen with pin code, enforced by company rules where I work when using company e-mail on the phone, but I would expect the notifications to still work.

I have checked the settings, and I have tried setting them to both Hide Sensitive Information and Show All under Notification settings when the unit is locked.
HTC One M8 :: Media Graphics Showing On Lockscreen
Jan 17, 2015After the 5.0.1 update to my M8, when I play some media like Tunin radio or my audiobook player, I get a picture of the album art or station art displayed on the lockscreen. Wouldn't be so bad but the picture is badly distorted.
Have done a reset; same thing.
Is this the way Lollipop is? Or is it just mine?

It just lets me swipe the screen and get into the phone... It only works when I swipe the lock icon from the bottom of the screen, it doesn't do it automatically...

The only options I get are up to five minutes and down to thirty seconds. Setting up my phone for the first time, I'm trying to download a lot of music in Groove. This'll take all night, so I wanted to leave it plugged in, unlocked and downloading.
I did this on my L930 with Win10 on it... But the XL is now showing "Never"
Anyway to turn off the lockscreen timeout, so I can let Groove do a lot of music downloads?

Oct 27, 2014When I make an appointment in my calendar - lets say a DR appt, I would like to link in the contact so that I have the map/location in the appointment - is this possible? I don't want to do the traditional invite to an event thing - just have the contact info there in my calendar.
My dream of dreams is being able to long click a contact and have an option in dropdown for add to calendar or some such - so that I have everything there - phone map etc..

Nov 2, 2013I've noticed since the GDR3 update that i'm no longer able to update my lockscreen wallpaper photo. If I select Twitter, Facebook or Bing as the lock screen it changes over fine, but in Photo it always defaults that the Yellow Car photo no matter what photo I choose.

Apr 12, 2015I have three Lumia phones, a 920, a 1020, and a 1520. With each I just attach a USB, copy the camera roll files to my PC. With the first two, I open the video mp4 files on the PC and Windows Media player has no problem. Not so with the 1520, with any video file copied to the PC, it says: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Again, the same video file plays fine on the 1520 that shot it.On the PC, Quicktime and Movie Maker choke on video files too. I tried a hard reset of the 1520 but it did nothing.

Feb 9, 2015When listening to the Music app on my 1520 (16 GB ATT) and using my headphones, sometimes the volume will randomly get louder then quieter in a rhythmic motion.
It does not go from 0 to 30, its more like 5 up, then 5 down. The actual numbers of the volume stay the same, but I can definitely tell there is an increase and decrease. I've encountered this a few times from different artists (so it is not a style of the artist). Also, it seems to happen whenever the headphones are accidentally pulled out mid-song. After the song is over, the next song seems to be fine. Is there a work around other than waiting for the next song?

Jul 23, 2014I've been pressing the "Check for updates" button frequently in anticipation for Cyan, but suddenly it's not working right. The "Checking for updates..." message will appear, but more than five minutes later, nothing happens. When the lock screen appears and I unlock it, it now says "Your phone is updated" but the "Last checked" date was the date of the last check when things are still ok.

Mar 26, 2015My mom has a 1520 and every time she calls I can barely hear her but she can hear me quite well. Same thing happens when she calls others and they all complain they can hardly hear her. After 5 or 6 secs into the call the volume gets a little louder but not as loud as it should be. She even set it to full level at 10. I asked her to connect a headset/earphones while on the call and that actually worked and the volume was loud and clear but as soon as she unplugs the earphones, the volume drops to a very low level.

Jul 26, 2014Running the latest DP build of WP 8.1 (8.10.12397.895) and, of course, would like to downgrade back to WP 8 so I can get the Cyan update.
Problem is that my phone is not being recognized on any computer I plug it into.
I've tried two Win 8.1 machines, a Win 2K12 and a Win 7. On all of them, I've completely uninstalled all of the Nokia software (three of the four machines had never had the software installed) and then reinstalled both the NSU and NSU for Retail. No go.
I did a reset on my phone. No go.
I removed both the SIM and the SD card. No go.
I've toggled the hidden USB settings on the phone. No go.
I've rebooted the phone upteen times. No go.
The phone is simply not being detected by the desktop OS and is not being installed on the computer.
I've tried everything I can think of to get this to work.
