BB Bold :: Media Player Won't Play .wav Files
Jun 25, 2010My BB used to be able to play the .wav files that I received by email from my office phone system. I just ran the BB updates it wanted to and now when I attempt to play a .wav file, media player opens but then says - an error has occurred attempting to play media. The media being played is of an unsupported format.
I found posts saying I needed to install the BB attachment service but I can't get the option to show in Desktop Manager even following the instructions to download and run the OS on the PC.

Dec 13, 2011I have had my Droid X for about 6 months and until now have been able to sync music to it with no problem. I have a subscription to the Zune Pass so the files that I sync are DRM protected. Windows Media Player is the only software I know of that can successfully sync these files to my phone. That is until recently. While I am still able to syne non-DRM Mp3's, suddenly now when I try to sync any Zune Pass files (which are WMA files), I get an error telling me that the "device's internal clock is not correct". how I can solve the problem but none of them have worked. One suggestion had me go into WMP's Privacy tab in its Tools menu and select the option to "Set clock on devices automatically", but the option was already selected.
How can I check if my device's internal clock is off? What could I have done to mess it up in the first place?

After about 20 plus songs or so, the playlist starts all over again from the very top.... In some rare occasions, the list even starts auto shuffling itself even though shuffle isn't turned on >.< It's annoying as I have to keep going back to where I last stopped again everytime it does that. Is there any way to fix it??? I've tried turning my phone on and off and soft resetting my phone already but the problem still persists

Jan 8, 2014I transferred 10 pdf files via bluetooth to my lumia 1520. when the last one finished transferring, i opened it via the ntifications menu.
The problem i am facing is that , i am only seeing the last opened file in the files menu in adobe reader.

I also downloaded Microsofts's PDF reader, but even this app is not able to show the existing files in the phone.How do i see the files present in the phone on connecting to the computer via USB cable, because all i can see is the picture, music and video files .

Jan 24, 2016I have just bought a new Golf R (amazing car btw) but neither of the USB sockets in the armrest or the dash cubby hole charge my phone. Is this because it is a USB C type cable? It is not a deal killer as I usually charge my phone at either end of my journey but it is annoying!
Another annoying issue is that the Media player does not display the music album art but that is probably a Windows 10 issue and might get updated as the OS is updated.

However, all the files in my "Favourites" folder show as only 1kb each and have the words "Just me" under each entry. None of them will open. When I try to open one, a warning comes up stating:" We couldn't open the file. Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi network" (Which of course I am). Sep 13, 2013After being a huge advocate for Windows Phone I'm just about done with it after moving from WP7.5 and Zune to WP8.I can't sync anything using Windows Media Player. I put stuff in the sync list and it looks like it syncs then I check the sync status and everything has "error" in the status and nothing has copied. Doesn't matter if it's songs I own or subscription - nothing syncs through media player. I think I did get it to sync to my wife's 620.
According to MSFT this will not let me sync Zune subscription which is another issue I have - and the biggest issue is that I can't sync playlists period. They show up with 0 songs when I sync using the Windows Phone App. But I was hoping using Media Player might solve that but it's not working.I'm using WIndows 7 on my PC. I'm a long time Zune user/promoter. Right now I can't get music on my phone in any reasonable fashion.

Jun 28, 2011I'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.

May 15, 2012I recently updated OS 5 to OS 6 on my Bold 9700 and I was not impressed. OS 6 though smother has cluttered main screen with solid blue highlights - OS 5 is way better in that respect. But my main beef is Media Player. On OS 5 I can copy and paste videos from my computer to media card (without desktop manager) and they all play flawlessly; slider works and I can pick up movie at the point I have left it off. Files are coded for 480x320 resolution for .wmv, .mp4 and .avi. And card was properly formatted. In OS 6 however only .wmv are playing properly. Rest of them are always playing form the beginning and when slider is used video becomes scrambled. .mp4 flies are coded through Nero and are not recognized by BB desktop software. Can anybody shed some light on this issue and have a workaround.I have downgraded back to OS 5.
