i have a blackberry curve and my media player wont play any music, it freezes and when i turn i turn it off and back on again the led light wont stop flashing pink and it comes up woith a message saying Application net_rim_bb_medialibraryplayer(2850) is not responding: process terminated..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently updated OS 5 to OS 6 on my Bold 9700 and I was not impressed. OS 6 though smother has cluttered main screen with solid blue highlights - OS 5 is way better in that respect. But my main beef is Media Player. On OS 5 I can copy and paste videos from my computer to media card (without desktop manager) and they all play flawlessly; slider works and I can pick up movie at the point I have left it off. Files are coded for 480x320 resolution for .wmv, .mp4 and .avi. And card was properly formatted. In OS 6 however only .wmv are playing properly. Rest of them are always playing form the beginning and when slider is used video becomes scrambled. .mp4 flies are coded through Nero and are not recognized by BB desktop software. Can anybody shed some light on this issue and have a workaround.I have downgraded back to OS 5.

I've my bluetooth headset to make a phone phone call, mute and voice command. however desperately trying to use it in the default media player unluckily it no music played on my head set. I've tried to activate it on menu , activate headset and it played only on the phone not on my bluetooth headset.
I'm sure I am not the first - but some of my music albums aka CD's will not play on my BB Torch. Adele and James Brown play just fine, but when I try to play Herbie Handcock I get this message.
"the media 01 Chameleon being played is of an unsupported format". And it goes through the entire album saying the same thing for each song. The file type is WMA
Since today, it seems my media player is not working. its opening, i can see which all media are there, but the songs are not playing, the videos are too, like stuck. i switched off, removed battery n put it back, no change. i did master reset, no change still. the problem disappears when a call comes(or missed call), it rings. then immediately if i try, media works. once i exit, and retry, its stuck again. same when i change ring tone volume. after i play ring tone, music works, after exit, problem persists.

The phone connects and I can make and receive calls via the in-car bluetooth.
However, it's not connecting as a media player.
I've repaired several times and have paired separately as a media player and phone but it won't keep the BT media player pairing.
I use a Bberry Curve 8520, v 5.0.0.592, BIS active...My media player, actually all audio function works one day, then not the following, then works, then not! Everytime is stops working I unplug battery, pull out memory card and switch on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy BB used to be able to play the .wav files that I received by email from my office phone system. I just ran the BB updates it wanted to and now when I attempt to play a .wav file, media player opens but then says - an error has occurred attempting to play media. The media being played is of an unsupported format.
I found posts saying I needed to install the BB attachment service but I can't get the option to show in Desktop Manager even following the instructions to download and run the OS on the PC.
The default media player has a volume control that I do not remember how to adjust.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMusic Player widget shown on my screen: play/pause/rev.fwd buttons and the cover as well. For some reason the buttons and cover disapeared. I haven't installed or uninstalled new software.
I tired to delete and add the vidget again but simply my buttons are gone. The icone link to the music player, however, I cannot control from the main screen anymore.
Why the music and ringtones are together, when I use the media player the ringtones play? Should I make another folder to separate them? If I do this I am concerned the ringtones won't be found and won't play.

I found that it is sometimes very quiet, and the only fix I have found so far is making a call (I usually just call my voicemail and hang up right away, after the call is done the music volume picks up), however this does not work all of the time.

Is there a way to pause the song and quit the media player, then be able to go back to the media player and listen to the song from the point that you paused it?
I' ve placed all my music ( ripped on WMP from CDs ) on a Micro SD card. When I introduced the card into the N900, all songs were automatically listed on the Media player but without the corresponding CD covers which were treated as images and stored on the Photo gallery.Now, how do I solve that ? Is there a means to force those CD covers to take their places on the Media player ?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI am having some problems with my phone which I think might be related to gstreamer.When I open the camera cover and the camera tries to launch I get the error message "Operation failed". Media player also does not work, I can see the media files but when I try playing them nothing happens.
I used gstreamer to capture images for an application that I created and it has always worked fine until recently, when I started noticing the problems with the camera and media player.Between the time everything was working and now, this is what I have done:
-installed OpenGL ES 2
-installed Qt
-copied a bunch of screenshots from the phone to my Mac (i think I just did it through bluetooth but I might have used the usb cable)
Here is what I have done to try to fix the problem:
-connect the phone via usb to a windows computer, rightclick the n900 icon and error check (as recommended on this forum)
-update the firmware using app manager
-reboot
-type dmesg in the terminal after opening the lens cover - that did not output any errors
Could this be related to anything other than the gstreamer? If it is the gstreamer, should I try reinstalling it?
I just received my N900 like a few hrs ago and I was testing the features but when I tried playing one of the songs on the phone a message popped up saying "unable to play media. Audio is in use by another application". I didn't have any other application opened at all I also tried to use the camera and the same message popped up, still no other application was opened.Another problem I noticed was when I receive a call even after pressing receive call the call still does not pick up...still rings on the other end but when I press end call it hangs up on the caller sending the call to voicemail. But making outgoing calls is no problem.I'm a nokia fan and loved all my past nokia phones last one was the N95 and still is working fine after 4yrs this is the first time I'm having such problems and am disappointed especially since the phone is new.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have installed Mediabox and the extended support CODECs for the N900. However, it will still not play most of my videos off my streaming media server (the programs can see the files ok).
When I try to play them, I have sound, and sometimes I can see a ghost image frozen on the screen, but no video. They can play some low resolution ones 320x240.
The videos I am trying to play that wont are :
512 x 384, bitrate 1154 kbps, 23 frames/second Divx avi
576 x 432, bitrate 1057 Kbs, 23 Frames/second Divx avi
640 x 480, bitrate 1066 kbs, 23 frames/second Divx avi
624 x 352, bitrate 1109 kbs, 23 frames/second Xvid avi
any ideas why these are not supported or where i could get CODECs that will support them, they play fine on windows media player and quicktime and on my Ps3 ?
