I have an LG chocolate VX855v03 that has been partly flashed to cricket (just talk & text). Can someone please tell me how to flash the rest of the way so i can use all the features the phone has. Im paying cricket for web,and picture sending and can't use them.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a vx8700 and i've tried to get bitpim to see the phone.Previously a couple of years ago before I reimaged my machine I had this working. I was able to access the file system and change my ringtone and what not. Now I can't get it to work.So I've tried to use the blue tooth method but when I move the vcf files over it gives me the finger saying the file is invalid...which it shouldn't be as i works fine on the shine. So anyways - whats the best way to move this information over from the old phone to the new one?
View 1 Replies View Relatedi thought i was crazy at first and it was just my imagination when i saw it flash up when receiving a text message/notification/ phone call and the camera flash lighted up. then today i had my phone on silent and received a phone call and just watched it light up and flash until i finally picked up. i've went through a bunch of the settings but i cant find one to turn this off.

Nokia has me back as a loyal customer again after my debacle with the Nokia N97. I noticed three things that I thought are fairly critical, that are missing, all related to the phone part of the N900.
1) In my E61 and the N97, one could while in a call, choose a contact from the contact list and send number as DTMF, this feature is particularly useful when using calling cards, which I do
2) From the call log of both the E61 and N97 you could choose an entry and edit the number before calling, helpful sometimes when roaming and the incoming number comes with an odd prefix because of odd carrier routing of the call
3) In Contacts, is there no field for Middle Name?
I have tried a fair bit of searching on this and other sites, oddly couldn't find anything on these, any one have any thoughts?
I was deleting messages from my inbox when my phone just hung for a few seconds then shut down. When i turned it on, my settings reset. All my contacts, messages, stuff from my gallery were all gone. There's no "inbox" in my messaging. No ovi. In my internet menu there's just home, browser and web services. EVERYTHING from my phone memory were gone and some of the phone's features too.

So I re configured the mail boxes as the Nokia Flagship N97 mini thrashed these. Yet after going through The Wizard of Ovi settings the mailboxes don't work as advertised nor as before. It downloads the headers correctly (although not complete) but opening an E-Mail instead of displaying the message shows an error message: Unable to display the rest of message.
In what way do I correctly open E-Mails on the N97 Mini?
Is there a way to get the dust from behind the screen on the Chocolate 3? I know a few phones you can pop the screen cover off, but I wasn't sure if you could with the Chocolate 3. Anyone else have this problem?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a boot-looping Chocolate 3, so then I emergency flashed it and did an MEID repair using tonycortes' method. I got everything working, but now MMS doesn't work. I tried copying the MMS server settings off of a known good phone of the same model and firmware version but still, failing to send every time.Anyone have any really good ideas as to how to get MMS working again? Still on VZW, not cross-carrier flashed or anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI kept getting the City ID prompt to download software on my LG Chocolate Touch phone everytime my phone rang/was picked up/received text msgs/etc./listen to music/alarm went off...IT WAS REALLY PISSING ME OFF..My only choices were to download "NOW" or "LATER".I couldn't find the "NEVER EVER EVER" button.I looked for a place to remove it but couldn't find any option to delete.It was driving me CraZy so I finally had Verizon reprogram /software reset my phone.I was at the point that I didn't care if I lost my contacts/ presets/ pictures/ videos/programs/everything on my phone as long as it got rid of the nagging download "NOW" or "LATER" prompt.
Then I went to Media Center | Browse & Download(You will see the City ID application with a little flower next to it.)Click the flower button for options.You will get a message indicating you haven't started trial yet and now you can Click REMOVE
I'm looking for a screen protector that I can cut just to cover the screen not over and around the buttons. Some what to know the mm size and I think I figured it right 38mm by 64mm. The reason why I only want to cover the actual screen is because I'm getting a SkinIt for it and it covers the back and front but doesn't include the screen to protect, unless I can put a full front clear screen protector plus add the skinit for around the non screen area? Would that work?

My screen cracked and i'd like to at least copy my contacts to a word document or transfer them to my new phone (blackberry Bold 9700).Do i have to sync the phone itself in it's options? Since my screen is cracked i obviously can't see which menu to go in again to do so - I hope syncing this way isn't needed as BitPim already recognizes my phone.

I am still using Google Maps v2.3.2 and the Google website still says this is up to date.Google Maps did work once, with respect to the My Location feature. Now it just sits there trying to find my location and states its waiting for the GPS.Home Network doesn't work as it will constantly try to load but cannot find the other computers in my network. It will connect via Wi-Fi no problem though.It seems as if LG made this phone, but never did anything to support it. Am I the only person who feels this way about the phone?If it's of any relevance: I am on Telus Mobility in Ontario, Canada.

A simple combination of music/photo/phone for people who don't need a full featured smartphone.Unfortunately, my wife dropped her LG Chocolate Touch and the screen appears damaged.
