HTC One M7 :: Homescreens Not Rotating (rest Of The Apps Do Fine)
Jul 30, 2014
The apps rotate to landscape just fine, Settings, Gallery, 3rd party apps, but homescreens won't. I have the box checked, but homescreens seem locked in place. Is there a solution other than an app to force it?
For no apparent reason my screen won't auto rotate in apps. It does auto rotate when docked. I've switched the auto rotate in settings on and off several times, pulled the battery, even installed an auto rotate switch app...nothing. It's really tough to read my news feeds when I can't rotate and zoom.
I am having problems with my almost new iPhone3gs.I get sound on calls, alarms, all the basic utilities and the speakerphone even works. But I can only get sound on apps(Netflix, games, videos, etc.)if I pluc in headphones.I reset my phone, checked settings, and no luck,I called Apple and they said to bring to Apple store,
Firstly, apologies if there is a similar thread - I did look around and did not find any specific one.
I bought an unlocked BB Storm 2 9550 from India (to be fair, it is a US Verizon BB Storm 2 9550 which has been unlocked). I used it for a week while I was in India on an Indian service provider (Airtel) and everything (email, bb messenger, browser, apps, etc) worked fine - the top right corner showed EDGE. It worked fully well in India.
Then I came to UK a few days ago and put my Vodafone UK sim in it; I sent the registeration request from the Host Routing Table menu (which was confirmed). I even registered my email on mobileemail.vodafone.net. Now the email is working fine and so is the BB Messenger. BUT I am unable to use the internet such as through the browser and the apps (facebook, bloomberg, time magazine, etc.). The top right corner says 3G (and sometimes GSM when I am on a call).I have spoken several times to the Vodafone tech staff and in the end they said that there was nothing they could do.
On the Vodafone tech staff's suggestions I have tried: deleting and reinstalling the service books (except provisioning), several battery pulls, I even tried putting back the old OS .320 (I currently have the leaked .428 version installed - in India my blackberry worked well on both versions).
Additional notes: I do not have the Vodafone Live! icon in my menu, My browser settings only show "hotspot browser" - there is no option as "internet browser" - I am guessing that will only appear when the bb internet starts working.I hope that is all the information you need.I will be very grateful if you can help me start the internet/gprs on my phone!
Facebook often freezes however the device is working properly and I have to clear it from the most recent apps list and open it again and it becomes alright.....however it happens frequently so I became annoyed
I had an authorized seller replace the broken screen on my iPhone 4S, but now the bottom dock of icons is unresponsive. Weird thing is that I can't access the icons on the dock, nor open the lantern / calculator / clock / camera on the icons when I pull up the quick menu, but aside from that, that part of the screen works ... I can use the keyboard completely, you name it, everything except the icons on the dock and the bottom ones on the pull up menu ! Â
The guy who fixed my screen said it must be a software glitch, but I've restarted and restored the phone (from backup and as a new one) and the problem is still there !Â
Any chance he messed up something while changing the screen ?Â
Also, iPhone isn't (and has never been) jailbroken or anything of the sorts
Ever notice that you can swipe the homescreen either left or right where all the widgets disappears and you are left with an empty homescreen. I know it looks like you are just hiding the icons, and when you press options, you return to original homescreen.
But the question is, why didn't nokia introduce multiple homescreens in the first place. Its obvious that it can be done. The N97 could have been such a powerful device, worthy of the title of 'flagship' but nokia really dropped the ball here.
Everything happens for a reason, check out my blog: http://mycellife.blogspot.com/
Whenever I borrow a friend's Android phone, including one of my friend's new Droid X, the homescreen always takes at least half a second before it registers my finger page swipe.
Why are ALL Android phones like this? Why can't they make this right?
I have only just got an xperia play today, and I find it a good phone. Only problem is the screen will occasionally Spaz out.It will move independently jumping to different homescreens, even activating stuff on them.At first I thought it was the screen protector that I put on but I've removed it but it had done it once since then.
I don't know what the deal is with 2.3.4 but I have now completed two separate syncing with my desktop and on both occasions several of my home screen icons disappeared and the Crackle App was uninstalled somehow. I do not want to go through this every time I want to put a new movie on my SD card.
My Blackberry Bold 9900 shuts down by itself and I can't restart it.I tried to reset it by removing the battery and nothing happened.Just before, it was charging, I received a message text that I read and did not answer it irgt away. When I came back to answer it, my phone was completely off.
I just got the HTC one and i wanted to watch some videos online (not on youtube). And what i noticed is when i press the full screen button he wants to go full screen but the screen is only 30 % video and the rest is black screen. And it wont go sideways .
The flash works fine with the camera but doesn't work with any other app using the flash like flashlight or heart rate monitor. I tried downloading different apps or deleting the app and reinstalling rebooting the phone each time but the problem persists. Any suggestions? I upgraded to 5.1.1. The same
I have an LG chocolate VX855v03 that has been partly flashed to cricket (just talk & text). Can someone please tell me how to flash the rest of the way so i can use all the features the phone has. Im paying cricket for web,and picture sending and can't use them.
Since i got back my phone from nokia care center ( about sensor problem ) , they've probly re-install the phone's software and now i can not watch any of flash based videos , especially from facebook.
So I re configured the mail boxes as the Nokia Flagship N97 mini thrashed these. Yet after going through The Wizard of Ovi settings the mailboxes don't work as advertised nor as before. It downloads the headers correctly (although not complete) but opening an E-Mail instead of displaying the message shows an error message: Unable to display the rest of message.
In what way do I correctly open E-Mails on the N97 Mini?
I take a picture, everything is fine. I look in the gallery, everything is fine. But when I go to share the picture either via MMS, uploading to an app, or uploading to a webpage, the image appears on the page but has been rotated 90 degrees. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be annoying. Somewhere between the gallery and the upload, the picture gets rotated. But if I go into my gallery, the picture is fine. It's only on the site/app that it was uploaded to that it rotates on its own.
I've got a Lumia 1020 on AT&T, white version. Sometimes, when I open the camera (Pro, Smart, stock, whatever), the camera doesn't detect that I'm holding the phone in landscape. It takes the picture, but of course it's 90 degrees wrong in the Camera Roll, and I have to manually rotate it later.
It's generally fixed with a power cycle (turn off then turn on). It'll work for a few hours and then get "stuck" in portrait mode again.
I have upgraded my Nokia N900 to latest firmware but after upgrade my n900 is not rotating, I also check my settings, there isn't any prob in browser or phone settings. when i was running old firmware my On Screen Keypad is rotating to vertical but its not turning now!
