IPhone :: Some Synced Photos Rotating Incorrectly On 4
May 22, 2012I recently synced a folder of photos in My Pictures to my iPhone 4 via iTunes. 68 picture...21 were taken in a portrait rotation, the rest were landscape. I had no trouble with the landscape photos. But, after the sync, 5 of the 21 portrait photos had the wrong rotation From my basic troubleshoot...they are not all rotated incorrectly in the same direction and I confirmed that they all have a similar resolution as at least one of the correctly oriented portrait photos from the same sync. Editing and saving the picture directly on the iPhone is not an option because I am only given the option to save an edited photo to the Camera Roll album. It is extremely frustrating. Why does this process ignore the native orientation of only some of the synced photos? I'd be less confused if it mess up all of the portrait photos.

Jun 25, 2012Why doesn't apple make it part of their next updates where it is possible to be able to rotate pictures in photo viewer after importing them form your phone to pc? And it shouldn't matter either what operating system you use. Or, even if when you take the picture with your iPhone with your phone sideways straight up or whatever direction it automatically (after being imported) gets saved as a rotated to perfect view-ability!

Jul 12, 2010Camera will display the button to take a photo, flash button and the button to swap camera views upside down and save the picture in the camera roll upside down even if i hold the phone sideways or vertical. Text messages will show up in landscape even holding the phone vertical also and safari wont switch out of landscape mode also. If i reboot the phone it all works perfect but then switches back to the problems after a few minutes.

Oct 27, 2015The gallery will not turn to landscape and no individual photos or videos will turn to landscape when I rotate my phone. So all pics that I take holding the phone sideways won't go full screen.

Yes, I have screen rotation turned on. The other apps rotate.

Why Photos Sent With Text Message Appear As Square On IPhone
Aug 24, 2014Recently all photos I send with text messages appear square. They are cut off at the top. When I view them in my photo stream they are rectangular. I do not use the square option on the camera.
The only way I have been able to fix the problem is to go to the photo I want to use, edit it and crop to a rectangular aperture.

May 31, 2012I've sent or received a lot of pictures in text messages that I have not actually saved on to my phone. I know syncing your phone and making a backup will save your actual text messages, but will it also save those pictures in the text messages, or will those be erased? But when I go to share the picture either via MMS, uploading to an app, or uploading to a webpage, the image appears on the page but has been rotated 90 degrees. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be annoying. Somewhere between the gallery and the upload, the picture gets rotated. But if I go into my gallery, the picture is fine. It's only on the site/app that it was uploaded to that it rotates on its own.

Aug 27, 2013I've got a Lumia 1020 on AT&T, white version. Sometimes, when I open the camera (Pro, Smart, stock, whatever), the camera doesn't detect that I'm holding the phone in landscape. It takes the picture, but of course it's 90 degrees wrong in the Camera Roll, and I have to manually rotate it later.
It's generally fixed with a power cycle (turn off then turn on). It'll work for a few hours and then get "stuck" in portrait mode again.

Those "Wheels" just keep on spinning and after 15-20 mins it again restarts. This keeps going on until the battery dies out. I want to experience Windows 10 on my 1520. Is there any way I can download the win10 image separately and then flash it? I know I can use Recovery tool to go back, but I just don't want to! I want to use Windows 10!.
