I just got the HTC one and i wanted to watch some videos online (not on youtube). And what i noticed is when i press the full screen button he wants to go full screen but the screen is only 30 % video and the rest is black screen. And it wont go sideways .

I can see a tiny bit at the top and it appears to be receiving messages and notifications but the screen is ruined.Before I hand it in for repair I want to remove all pics from it. How can I do this? View 1 Replies View RelatedI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?

Yet after going through The Wizard of Ovi settings the mailboxes don't work as advertised nor as before. It downloads the headers correctly (although not complete) but opening an E-Mail instead of displaying the message shows an error message: Unable to display the rest of message.
In what way do I correctly open E-Mails on the N97 Mini?
I was filming my family and the video stuttered and stopped altogether after a few seconds. Then the app went to a green screen (totally green) and I couldn't fix it. I had to reboot the phone to get it to work normally. Is that normal?

I have a Blackberry Curve 8530. Several months ago, during daily use, the screen would all of a sudden go black. A battery pull would solve this problem for a while. Eventually this became more frequent. Symptoms progressed (it seemed that if I set the phone down too quickly it would reset) Finally, the phone would turn on, then go immediately to a white screen where it was undetectable by my computer. I contacted my service provider and they said the phone was toast and (amazingly enough) gave me a free loaner to use for the duration of my contract (all info transfered via an old backup, so nothing was lost) After my new phone was working I left my Curve plugged in at my office. Yesterday as I was leaving I looked at the phone again, and the screen was white and telling me to reload software 507.
I plugged it into my computer to begin the process and to my surprise the computer all of a sudden detected the phone and successfully upgraded the software. All looked great, I got past the password stage, and was just going to begin reloading my information when the screen faded to blank again. I still have the free loaner phone, so it's not a big deal, but it's bugging me as to what the problem could be. As of right now the computer can no longer detect the phone again
I got an iPhone 5s what the screen is totally black, but the touch screen and other functions are still working, has been replaced the LCD but it keep doing the same way.

But I am at a fork in the road:(this is the thrid time the screen has done this)Last night I went to check my phone and it appeared to be off, my power button does not work so I have to plug it in to turn it on. But the charger light was on so that meant the phone was already on. the buttons lit up still as well. Being this is not the first time I took the battery out for about an hour and put it back in, plugged it in, and still nothing. The M sign that comes up when you first turn it on doesen't appear and neither does anything else on the screen. But when i recieved a call I could answer the call like the screen was working but still was not on. I left the battery out all night from 8pm-6am and still nothing but i can still answer the calls. Left it out until 2 this afternoon and still nothing. I have no idea what to do.

I switched from Samsung. There is a function with Samsung customized version of Android that when I play video full screen and hit on/off button, the screen is locked but video keeps playing. That is a really useful function.
Any 3rd party app that can do the same?
I love the bedside mode of the Storm 2, especially with the dock I recently purchased. The only problem is, I like the room dark as possible and even with the phone in bedside mode when charging, and the setting check to dim the clock, it's still far to bright.
Is there a way of having clock on, but have the screen go off with the usual setting to black the screen after say 30 seconds or whatever I choose for the backlighting time out, then have the screen come on if I reach over and touch the screen to display the clock, then letting the backlighting go off again after the preset time?
This would make the setup perfect for me, allowing me to use the Storm 2 as a bedside clock without having to have the display on all the time, but being able to turn it on for a short period of time as needed. If this is possible, can somebody post the settings needed
We have 3 Ray phones in our family. I have upgraded my to ICS, but the other two still have the original android OS - GB. Problems that we experience on all three phones are as follows; If I look at the video file and turn the phone 90 degrees (it does not matter if I turn it left or right), then screen lock lock the screen immediately. I can not unlock the phone as long as the phone is in the same position. I have to turn it back 90 degrees for it to go to unlock it. The same happens even if I want to play games and have to turn my phone 90 degrees, or if I want to photograph or record a film. If I do not turn my phone 90 degrees, then everything works as it should, but it is supposed to be able to rotate the phone, depending on what you do without screen lock locks my phone immediately?
