LG V10 :: Factory Data Reset Date And Time Shown In Settings?
Nov 29, 2015
Just got another V10 and I notice in settings, about phone, status it shows a last factory data reset date and time. This is the same date and time that I opened and started the phone new out of the box.
I have never done a factory data reset to the phone. Does your V10 show a "Last Factory Data Reset" under these settings?
I've never seen a new phone fresh out of the box showing a last factory data reset logged.
The Motorola support page that tells you how to do a factory data reset gives two methods: Settings and External Keys. It also says that using the Settings method is preferable. Does anyone know why the Settings method is preferred? Is the outcome of both methods the same? The instructions (and user guide) say that the Settings method doesn't erase your external SD card, and will only erase internal storage if you choose to. Does the External Keys method work the same way? (I've used those key strokes to clear the data cache, but can't remember what the other choices are).
Can the blackberry desktop manager software remotely wipe out all data and reset it to factory settings? I have bb curve 8530 and I have no information on what software update exactly is the desktop manager.
Why every time when i turm on my phone , ask me to enter date and time? .. whitout take off the battery?! its annoying. plus, i need the alarm and its not working if always get reset.
Late last night my wife and I, who both have iPhone 5s, discover that our time and date were both way off. We toggled the auto update on and off a few times and eventually it reset. This morning it is incorrect again. We both turned the auto update off and set the calendar and time manually and it eventually went back to the incorrect time and date. This morning, June 28 at 0940 the date was July 9 at 0435.Â
My E72 ask me to input date end time when restarting after keeping off the battery, even for just a second!!! It seemed to me that this didn't happen before.

I woke up this morning (24th December), and my phone had set the date and time to the 29th November, and the time is 6 hours behind (its now 3pm and it is apparently 8:43 on my phone.) Moreover, I can't read my text messages, I can't see text messages that I send, and my blackberry services have stopped working (i.e.. I cannot send emails or access BBM.) I have restarted/rebooted the phone almost a million times, but every time it comes back on the time keeps being set back to 7:49 every single time. I have no idea what to do!
I got a Nokia Lumia 1520 last week. Coming from an HTC One (M7), I am still impressed with the smoothness of Windows Phone OS -rarely I get any loading for an app. Moreover Metro has come a long way since the days of ZuneHD.
However I got a slight problem with the date/ time. Both the date and time gets reset back to 20 July 2013, 03:00 after the battery runs out or I try a soft reset.I already tried:
1) Setting the time on manual; it will reset back to manual time and the date/time above. 2) Setting the time on automatic, will still get reset back to manual and the wrong date/time. 3) Instead of setting the phone on 4G, I used the 3G and automatic. Same as above. 4) Setting the date manually and then to automatic, keeps the date/time I setup manually. 5) Turning the device off and on again (not soft reset with the volume key) will keep the date/ time regardless if it was set manually or manually and then automatically.
my nokia 6288 crashing Immediately after I turn it on is there a way to reset it to factory settings without turning on the phone? and is there a way to do a firmware upgrade without turning on the phone?
I am ready to return the phone and go back to BB 9700. The Torch is great, but it's lagging too much and I have to pull the battery everytime I need to use GPS, otherwise, I won't get any GPS signal.
It's just my personal reference, I like the 9700 better.
The progress bar has frozen approximately two thirds the way across. I have removed the battery and done the suggested soft resets but when it startsup the progress bar freezes in the same place.I have now tried the factory reset in the BBDesktopapplication. I get a message saying it is initializing and a small progress wheel is spinning. It has been like this for 6 hours and there has been absolutely no movement on the progress bar.
Is there a way to really reset the BB to the factory settings?I am running 5.0x firmware, and the Options/ Security Options/ General Settings/ Menu/ Wipe Handheld function is not present anymore! (I saw it when I had 4.6.x..)So I tried this (from Mac, as on XP I can't locate the loader.exe file): http://www.blackberry.com /btsc/ search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB18998 but it actually did not really clean my BB, it kept for example all the apps I installed which are the reason why I would like to reset the BB! it also kept the 5.0.x firmware, while when I got the BB it had the 4.6.x firmware. I really would like to go back to the original status. any suggestions?
I brought a blackberry off a friend but her name still aappear's in the message bit and her email address's are still on the phone. How do i reset the phone to factory settings?
When i bought my iPhone 4S, it was on contract, so locked, i got it unlocked but, i need to reset to factory settings as restrictions password has been forgotten, will my phone be locked again?
I have just updated my Xperia 8 to 2.1 (eventually, because I use a Mac ) and can now no longer get the phone to connect to my home internet which it was happily doing untl that point. (Backed everything up & successfully restored all my other info / settings)I have reset the modem to factory settings, rebooted all the various equipment which all reconnected with the code. I type in the same code into the phone & it tells me that the code is incorrect & then that WiFi is 'disconnected'. So far, I have not been able to get to any access points for other free WiFi, so dont know if this is a general fault.
