Every text I get vibrates my phone even though all settings show vibrate off. So annoying.

However, I need to figure out how could I transfer all my data.The blackberry desk manager never did work on my old phone witch. After plugging in the new phone on my PC it asked if I wanted to transfer my data... So I did.I realized that when I was receiving text messages they were looking more like email icons. I tried to look up in my options and I can't find anything.

Lately (last week or 2) I get the new message icon displayed, but when I open my messages folder the red asterick goes away but the envolpe icon still is there and the count goes up. Currently it says 4 but I do not have any unread emails, nor any unread facebook messages. The only way to 'reset' this is a battrr pull. But then it starts generating again. I just updated 4.6.1.319 hoping this would help but sstill the same problems. If any other info is needed please let me know.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Hangouts on my Moto 2014. Every time I get a text message I get a white notification bar with the name of the person who texted me and their text message. To read or reply to the text I have to touch the Hangouts icon because single or double taping the white notification does nothing and I cannot swipe to remove it. I only get this notification when the phone is on but not in screen lock mode. How do I stop this white notification bar from popping up?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI installed the update the Hangout today and ever since all my SMS messages vibrate in addition to my selected notification sound.
I have tried everything to turn this off. All the "Vibrate" check boxes are cleared and still it vibrates.
It does not vibrate for Hangouts messages only SMS. Yes, I know there is a separate setting for each message type. All of them have Vibrate unchecked.
I even tries restarting the phone, but that did not work.
There is a notification icon just appeared that I have never seen before - it appeared on my husband's phone 2 days ago and my phone yesterday. It is in the top left of the screen - a square with a blue background and what looks like a person on one side and a speech bubble on the other. I have been through all my folders and messaging option and I have no notifications that I can find

But 1 thing that makes me sad about the ICS update is that there is no message notification in the lock screen. Where is it now? I hope in the next update they will include this. By the way, the camera is so good right now.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got the official 2.3.4 upgrade from the PC companion and am very happy with it. Part of the changes seems to be that I get new message notifications in the middle of my lock screen (meaning I press the power button and my screen goes from blank to the lock screen, and in the middle of that is a notification that says I have "New messages:1" with a envelope icon beside it. I've checked sms, email, whatsapp, skype, handcent, etc etc and I cant find any messages that are new. The notification bar is empty. I've also tried sending myself a message to see if it will clear, but it wont. I'd previously cancelled voice mail on the carrier side too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone two days ago and I've noticed that when I'm in a call on Skype or Hangouts that the incoming audio gets muted every time I speak or when on medium to low volumes. It's become really bothersome because I can't tell whether I'm in call anymore unless the other person speaks. Is there any way to turn this off? The noise suppression and voice clarity options have no affect on this at all. I'm using headphones when in call. Also I should note that this doesn't happen on my old broken phone so it must be something to do with the G4.

I get the notification in Hangouts that I have a new voicemail, but when I click on the play button, and place the phone to my ear, the message stops playing. Didn't have this issue in the Voice app.

Ive tried plugging the charger in, using the wireless charger, I even had ny husband call my phone and the screen never lit up and the phone never rang. Why doesnt my s5 turn off when I get a notification or when I check the time On lock screen. This been happening for the past days. I had about 55% of battery and when I got off work it was dead. I then later charged my phone and noticed that when I get a notification on the lock screen it won't turn off right after the notification showed. when I turn on the phone to check the time on the lock screen it doesn't turn off. it would usually turn off seconds later. This has been draining my battery. if I have a full battery at night and disconnect it and throughout the night I get a text message the lock screen would turn on and never turn off,and then in the morning I'm left with a dead phone or a 3% left, or when I disconnect the phone it doesn't turn of neither. How do I set it back to how it was. I already factory reset?

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a new text or email if I unlock my phone and touch the email or message app and read or delete it, it still shows the notification in the upper left. If I then lock my phone and unlock it again it still shows the notification on the lock screen. I have gone and cleared the cache and data from the message app and restarted. The only way it goes away is if I swipe it away on the lock screen or select it from the lock screen and view/delete after it opens.

View 5 Replies View RelatedUpgraded three family DX's this weekend to the RAZR MAXX's and so far pretty pleased. My wife's phone has an interesting "feature?" which I haven't been able to figure how to turn off. When she has an unread email (either GMAIL or or local internet provider mail) periodicaly when the screen is locked and off the screen will turn on for a second and then turn off like a reminder notification. Obviously a battery killer. I've looked through all the reminder features including the add-on we use "Light Flow Lite" which we use for missed calls and cannot find where to turn this off.
