Just switched over to Google Hangouts and I've notices that when I get a text while my phone is locked, I don't get a blinking notification on my lock screen.
View 1 RepliesI use Google Voice via the Hangouts app as a secondary phone line on my Droid Turbo.
The issue I am having is with phone calls that come in to my Google Voice number. Instead of using only the Hangouts Dialer app to receive those calls, the calls seem to come through Hangouts AND the default DT dialer app at the same time! What ends up happening is that first, the Hangouts app starts to ring, then (second) the default DT dialer app start up and rings over the Hangouts dialer. The end result is that when I pick up the call on the DT dialer app, I always get a missed call on Hangouts. In addition, if I miss the call completely I then get a missed call notification from both Hangouts and the default dialer app.
I usually disable my pin when I am on my bike so that I have easy access to my tracking app. Today I encountered the screen here and cannot choose None or Swipe for my lock screen. How this was disabled.

I'd like to be able to see temperature (and today's weather upon click) and battery life. I could see these without 'logging in' to the phone. The screen that I'm thinking about is the one that shows the time and notification of unread messages.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo, using the Moto screen that displays notifications, I swipe to unlock, then get another unlock for the main lock screen. Ergo, I have to swipe twice to unlock. Is there any fix other than no unlock? This leaves the phone open until the Moto screen takes over.

I want to be able to say "Hey Droid Turbo, lock the screen" or something similar. I tried the "Goodnight" command but the screen still stays on even though I have it set to be off while sleeping. How to achieve my goal?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there not a way to remove the horizontal Google search bar from all, or even some of my screens? All the other widgets and items on our main screens can be long pressed and removed, but this one just opens no matter how I press it.
It is odd because there is an option to add it as it is showing with the other widgets in the widget menu, but no way to remove it. I just find it an annoyance that you can't move it or delete it. I had the same search bar on my S3 and could delete it.
I have a droid Maxx turbo and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the white Google search bar strip at the top of every screen the home screen and any other screen you slide over to because I like to use pictures from my wallpaper and the white bar gets in the way of some of the pictures I put up...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have never locked the phone. I downloaded ANDROID PAY app last night. It required a screen lock to secure credit card. I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.

I believe this is only happening since the JB upgrade, but I only had the phone a little over a week before the upgrade so I may not have noticed it.

I guess I don't mind so much it's finding me but if I readjust my **** in chair as I watch TV... It has to tell me it's finding my new location. If it has to, it has to but I don't need a notification every 10 seconds telling me about it.

My notification sounds for my texts, my yahoo email and also Facebook will work for a day or two and then they will all stop working. I have tried running the phone in safe mode and that did not work. If I reboot the phone the ywill start working again but only for a day or two.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have rebooted, contacted Verizon numerous times, been routed to a Level II technician, but nothing seems to solve the only intermittent problem of getting no notification sound when I get an email. The problem started out getting no ringtone sound when I got a call. Verizon finally fixed that by enabling something on advanced calling in their network. That took numerous trips to the Verizon store. Then, two days ago, I went back to Verizon with my wife to look at the iphone6 for her. I casually mentioned the notification problem to the salesperson, who said the problem was probably due to my downloaded sounds, and that I should stick to the sounds on the phone. I promptly went home and removed the downloaded sounds, but the problem persists. Because the problem is intermittent, no one has been able to fix it.

I had a voicemail left for me, listened to it, and deleted it yet the icon persistently shows up in the notification bar. I also have no voicemails in Google Voice. I can clear it in Settings>Apps but it reappears every time I start the phone. I have rebooted the phone, and cleared the cache partition to no effect.

View 24 Replies View RelatedVerizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.
I just switched from a 2014 Moto X to Droid Turbo this morning. I updated the phone to lollipop and started to set things up how I like them. However, I cannot find the smart lock feature anywhere to set up trusted locations. I did set up my lock screen with a pin.
I googled to make sure this model has smart lock on lollipop and it does. I went through the steps on my moto x to make sure I wasn't missing it on the turbo.
