It is as if the + button for volume is constantly being pushed. There may have been some damage because my phone did drop a few times, but how do i now get rid of the display on the screen? Is there a way to turn it off?

Why not?Also, if I try to bring up traffic information, it tells me that I need to pay for a licence. I thought this was all supposed to be free now. I only downloaded the program last night, so I assume it's the latest version.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy friend has a Samsung Flash Windows 7.5 phone which is 480x800 resolution with a 3.5" screen. This shows 9 rows of tiles, 9 rows of missed calls. I have my new Nokia Lumina 920 with 1280x768 resolution which is approximately 300% more than Samsung Flash. It shows just barely 6 rows of tiles and 6 rows of missed calls. Email text is so big that I need to scroll a lot in my Nokia 920.Eventhough Nokia 920 screen size is so huge, the content which it displays is only 70% of what a much smaller device currently shows. This really annoys me. Whats the use of a bigger screen and a better resolution when it can't show more as content. Forget making the font size larger, you will see only 4 or 5 lines in any of the lists.
I really hope Microsoft releases a update to enable us reduce the font size still further and read more from the Lumina. I want a quick glimpse of all new emails with minimal scroll. Compare any other phone - iPhone, Samsung Flash Windows phone, Motorola Atrix, etc., all show much more number of emails than the Windows in Nokia 920.

What was the point of having a lock application if your personal text are displayed on the screen before it? Please dont tell me to turn off the notification in the text settings cause that happens to for some odd reason be linked to the audible txt notification as well so if you turn off "display notification" it kills the sound that you have a txt as well.I would happily download an app if it clears up this weird quirk. Just let me know what apps there are to do this.

Some of these photos are of contact photos of people I don't want to look at all the time such as business associates. I would prefer to replace the photos of my choosing such as pictures of my family, friends , vacation etc.
Is there any way to re-select the photos that are displayed on the opening My Gallery screen?
My wife accidently going through her contacts went to the very top where there's a drop down menu for Phone or Contacts. It went to Contacts. Now whenever she goes to her contacts a message pops up saying Sign In or Sign Up to OVI. She's been on the phone now with Nokia for 2 hours trying to resolve.Anyone out there have any ideas?
And by the way, are other brands of phones this bad, what with setting up loops like this can't be broken. Or, like what I've read here and elsewhere, all the problems with the Lock Code? I mean, it seems Nokia needs to go back to the drawing board and work on their user interface.

Nor did taking the battery out and putting it back in again. I then tried to plug it int the mains and a red light flashed on it for 15 or so seconds and a empty battery sign with a red cross came on screen. I don't want do use the vibrating switch because it will vibrate during the night and I don't want that to happen. If I turn the vibration off, then my alarm app wont go off.
It's unbelievable how Android phone allow you to change volume individually on each app and IOS devices don't. If Android can do Apple can do too.
