I received a mail from you about unlocking my iPhone ending in 7418 nine days ago. I did instructions which you gave me. My iPhone was unclocked. I was very happy about this. However, i had a problem. When i restored my iPhone, it was locked again.
View 1 RepliesSo, I just bought a JB'en iphone 3g tonight.Went ahead and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.Connected it to my mac/itunes, and it asks "an iphone has been previously synced with this computer. setup as a new iphone -or- restore the backup of ***"So, since I had purchased apps using my *** phone (actually was an ipod touch that i got rid of), I'm thinking that I should restore the backup so that I can get my paid apps back for free.
Questions:
-will restoring this backup to the new unlocked phone restore it to its original locked state (i.e. will i have to re-jailbreak/unlock)? or will it simply restore preferences, etc...?
-otherwise, if i call this phone a new name, is there a way to transfer my purchased apps to the new phone's account?
My iphone crashes randomly both when it is on, that when i try to restore it. in fact now i can't restore because the iphone (no itunes) crashes when the restore started. what is the problem? an hardware problem?

My iphone 5 crashed suddenly while functioning properly!! I connected it to my pc so as to restore it!!! Itunes recognized the device and a message that it needs restoring emerged!! i followed the proposed steps to restore it!! It was running ios 7.4 i think!!! Ios 8.01 was downloaded and afterwards it extracted the previous version!!! while waiting from the iphone so as the procedure to go on , the apple logo appeared with the progress bar!!! But after waiting for too long it did nothing!! The bar was empty and it seemed as it was stuck!!
I tried to do it again!! After this i tried to enter it to dfu mode again in order to restore it!! But i couldn't!!! I tried the known combination of its buttons to do it!!! Nothing at all!! I reconnected it to itunes !!! The device was recognized and a message that it needs restore appeared!! I followed the instructions!!! Ios was extracted and while itunew were waiting for the iphone to continue it happened the same thing again!! Apple logo appeared with the empty progress bar empty!!! I have unlimited data, but still keep my DB on wifi all the time at home and the office. I'm guessing the DB goes into 4G or 3G mode when locked, which could be problematical if I had a measured data plan. Anyone else notice this behavior?

I received an SMS, and instead of it appearing under the SMS on LockInfo, which it does, it appears as well by the annoying Apple notification box.
I still want my phone to light up when I received a text message and the text message to be displayed under the SMS tab in LockInfo, but how do I get rid of the Apple notification box? I saw when configuring the app there was some thing about quick replying to texts and there was a list to choose form. Would any of those get rid of the Apple alert?
I got a new MacBook Pro several months ago.Up until now, I've always synched my iPhone up with my work computer (PC). My work PC has all of my backups currently on it (with apps, photos, contacts, etc), and I've never attempted connecting my iPhone to my MBP.I'd like to begin using my MBP as the main synching computer, as my MBP has all of my music on it (2000 or so songs). Problem is...my iPhone currently has no music on it...so I can't just backup my current iPhone on my MBP.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any insight on how to properly transition to the MBP being my main synching source?Is there a way to connect my iPhone...transfer everything on it to the MBP's iTunes (minus music), and then transfer songs to the iPhone?

My iPhone backup takes around an hour! I'm only using like 6 gigs on it, and I don't know why it would take so long. I have heard tips on how to speed it up, but some said they didn't work on Macs (one in sig) or that they didn't work at all. I think I have all the apps on my iPhone on my MBP, so I don't see how that would be a problem (I got the computer recently and transferred all purchases). I heard the 'Disable Sending Reports to Apple' thing didn't work on Macs. So anyway can anyone share their tips on how to make it faster? I have lost backups before, so I really like to keep everything backed up since things can go wrong fairly easily with hacked iPhones. It's a 3G.
