Jun 20, 2010Well i have a problem with my nokia 5530 Xpressmusic , today i put it to recharge and when it was finished the i couldn't unblock the phone , so i restart it and then it goes mad , the phone signal is off and i cannot access some part of the phone like settings and other stuff , and after some minutes he freezes and i cannot do anything so i have to restart it again .I don't know exactly the problem but this is what is happening , what can i do? please help because i need very much the phone i don't have other one and i expect some calls ... but if the phone doesn't work i can't do anything ... please tell me that is an solution for this ...

IPhone :: Unable To Send From Mail While Overseas, Even On Wifi?
May 23, 2012I think perhaps one email was successfully sent from Mail, but nothing more till I returned home. Mail said it was a server error on the outgoing server, but it appears too coincidental with being overseas. Also a couple of apps I tried didn't work (Viber, and as I might have expected, Catchup TV as it's for UK viewers).
Any tips for using the phone overseas? I switched data roaming and Mobile Data off as I didn't need them in the hotel room (and for the cost of course) and switched these both back on when I arrived in the UK. But it seems odd that I could not send Mail in a Wifi environment.

May 8, 2010IPhone 3G OS 3.0 jailbroken and unlocked. Phone wont charge, or turn on. I get the silver apple, but it shuts off after that. Reset method of home key and power yield same result. Itunes does not see phone. When I hold home key, the Itunes logo and USB cable appear and I am able to get it on Itunes, with option of restore to factory settings. Several questions and concerns:
1) This will wipe all data and contacts?
2) My OS will return to 2.2 something i belive. Can i still download OS 3.0 and the firmware to needed? Phone must be unlocked/jailbroken for use on my carrier.
3) Where can I download above files?

Oct 13, 2012I'm using a Bold 9900 and brought it to the UK from South Africa with my South African sim card (MTN) the device is on roaming, but reception is so bad that the device is almost un usable.I have it connected to the home WI-FI here in the UK and this allows me to use my BIS. For 3 weeks while I have been here, I have been able to use BBM etc while in range of the WI-FI. Today I inserted a friends spare "3" or "Network-3" sim card to allow me to make calls easier and cheaper while I'm here, took the sim card out, put my old one back in and that's when the problem started.No BIS anymore when connected to the WI-FI on my originally "BIS" working MTN sim card.Now I have looked around the web and the only thing I have come across is something vague referring the PIN pairing itself with the network/carrier.

Jul 14, 2010Just got a new iPhone 4 the other day. I was charging the phone and it fell, only a couple feet at most. There is a small crack in the back of the phone now, and it won't turn on anymore. My friend has a iPhone 4 as well and we swapped out the battery and the back housing (just to make sure that the crack didnt short anything out) but the symptoms persist.
I have it plugged into the wall charger now, tried doing a hard reset (holding home and power for some time) but nothing. This is very frustrating to think that the iPhone 4 is this fragile. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try to get this device back up and running? Any help at all would be very appreciated.

I have loaded maps for Hong Kong on to the phone, and updated the phone software to the latest version as recommended by Ovi software. When in Hong Kong the phone fails to get a GPS lock despite being left to try for in excess of 30 mins. I have tried setting with and without AGPS, with and without network access.

Aug 1, 2010I dropped my iPhone, cracked the screen and LCD, replaced both, as well as the inner plastic bezel holding them together. Now, the LCD doesnt turn on and the touch screen will not respond. The backlight wont even turn on .It is still on, responds when I plug it into USB, it still vibrates and has its files and will be picked up by iTunes, but the screen is black with no display, no backlight and as far as I can tell the touchscreen is not working.And the kicker is that it was working for a few seconds, when I first put everything together, I just took it apart to get the home button to be seated properly, and bam, all of a sudden everything stops working.Frustrating indeed ! Would anyone be able to help me out please ? I am sick that it seems I will have to buy another part, but, if it will fix it then it's worth it !

i have contacted various app developers .... all of which have confirmed to me that they allow and support free & paid app downloads in vietnam.i have had multiple friends in the us attempt to access and download numerous android apps to my android market account from their us-based web servers, but they receive the same comment i.e., "this item cannot be installed in your device's country", even though they are on a us server.
it is therefore clear that the problem is with my google/android market/xoom set-up, so can anyone assist me to confirm whether i can either:delete my android market account from my google account and "re-start", setting my location as the united states. (while retaining all my gmail; Internet; etc. account settings and files.) fix my current google/android market account settings to indicate i am in the united states so that i can download apps?

May 7, 2011I am trying to install Skype on my Atrix 4G without luck. I am US military stationed in the UAE, and the freedom police here have determined that people who live here should not be able to use Skype. We all get around this by using VPNs, but it doesn't seem to be working on my phone. Using the VPN on my router and the home wireless network, I got all the way to the download skype for Android button. When I tried to select my phone as the intended device, I got a message that said this country doesn't allow Skype, and it would not install. just push a button on the phone and do Skype to Skype, or even Skype to telephone with my family back in the US instead of firing up the computer. Can I perhaps download to my computer then use a cable to install on the phone?

Jan 6, 2010My iphone 2g fell out of my pocket last night while I was washing hands into the wash bowl and although I wiped it dry immediately, there was some issue after a while. I didn't realise it could cause some issues. But when I received a call, the touch screen didn't function at all and I was unable to answer the call.
After spending sleepless night yesterday to fix this issue, nothing seemed to work. I rebooted, restarted, restored to factory setting, many times, nothing is working. This is a 2g phone with 3.1.2 firmware, jail broken with blackrain. But I still receive the call and the iphone is not completely dead yet. I was able to restore it back. But the "Slide to Unlock" is not functioning, In other words the bottom part of the touchscreen is not responding. But the upper part of the touch screen works, where I can power off.
I almost gave up. Any one having any suggestions. This is very frustrating. I put the iphone in a rice bag, hoping it will take away the moisture, but that didn't work either. I also tried using the hair dryer to remove the mositure, but no success either.

Mar 19, 2010so my iphone 2g cracked. I tried replacing the glass, but it just cracked a second layer of glass underneath it. I guess that was the touch screen glass? Anyway, they both ended up falling out. Now it just has this final "screen" like thing, which is just a white light. What is this? What parts would I need to repair the iphone, given what I have now?
