I would like to upgrade my apps, but my iPad2 writes that I don't have enough memory. Is it possible to upgrade only a part of the apps? In the app-store, you can chose either all of them or nothing.

As we are not getting 2.2 froyo, then when will we be getting the second part of the overly out dated 2.1 update? SE are pants cant wait for my contract upgrade so I can get a phone from a company who will look after me. Seen my mates samsung galaxy s its amazing compared to xpericrap. And HTC are rolling out some rather good handsets.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried to update to 2.1 twice (once via PC Companion and once via SE Update Service) but have had problems with the new 2.1 after each attempt. Part of contacts list was missing even after backing up data. Font display is noticeably larger. Words on various apps are cut off. Also lost the user guides. Is it possible for me to revert back to 1.6? How to try and successfully install 2.1?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI dropped my iPhone, cracked the screen and LCD, replaced both, as well as the inner plastic bezel holding them together. Now, the LCD doesnt turn on and the touch screen will not respond. The backlight wont even turn on .It is still on, responds when I plug it into USB, it still vibrates and has its files and will be picked up by iTunes, but the screen is black with no display, no backlight and as far as I can tell the touchscreen is not working.And the kicker is that it was working for a few seconds, when I first put everything together, I just took it apart to get the home button to be seated properly, and bam, all of a sudden everything stops working.Frustrating indeed ! Would anyone be able to help me out please ? I am sick that it seems I will have to buy another part, but, if it will fix it then it's worth it !
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 2g fell out of my pocket last night while I was washing hands into the wash bowl and although I wiped it dry immediately, there was some issue after a while. I didn't realise it could cause some issues. But when I received a call, the touch screen didn't function at all and I was unable to answer the call.
After spending sleepless night yesterday to fix this issue, nothing seemed to work. I rebooted, restarted, restored to factory setting, many times, nothing is working. This is a 2g phone with 3.1.2 firmware, jail broken with blackrain. But I still receive the call and the iphone is not completely dead yet. I was able to restore it back. But the "Slide to Unlock" is not functioning, In other words the bottom part of the touchscreen is not responding. But the upper part of the touch screen works, where I can power off.
I almost gave up. Any one having any suggestions. This is very frustrating. I put the iphone in a rice bag, hoping it will take away the moisture, but that didn't work either. I also tried using the hair dryer to remove the mositure, but no success either.
so my iphone 2g cracked. I tried replacing the glass, but it just cracked a second layer of glass underneath it. I guess that was the touch screen glass? Anyway, they both ended up falling out. Now it just has this final "screen" like thing, which is just a white light. What is this? What parts would I need to repair the iphone, given what I have now?

I have an iPhone 3GS that I updated on iTunes yesterday and upgraded to the new IOS 5. When I started going through the Set Up process on the phone itself, it asks me to enter my Apple ID so I can set up iCloud, App Store, etc, on my phone. But the bottom portion of my touchscreen doesn't work. So I can not type in my Apple email address, I can not switch the keyboard to numbers, since that bottom part of the screen doesn't work. I tried turning it sideways, but it stays vertical. So I can't even touch "Skip this step", since it's on the bottom part of the screen also. Now I can not send or receive calls or even use my phone! Is there any way to bypass this setup on my phone? Or set it up on my computer instead of the phone? I can't believe it won't even let me receive calls - do I really need to set up iCloud to receive phone calls?

I have an iPhone 4 and recently updated to IOS 5 and since then whenever I try to download a podcast, apps, or even update existing apps, there is a problem! With Apps, the message is "Waiting..." (So far a Bible app app has been "waiting" for about three weeks to update! Going back to the update apps info screen, the message says, "Installing" and with podcasts, it starts to download and then stops at 9.8 Kb...
All installed Apps work fine and there is no other problem except for updating and downloading. I have a good WIFI signal (have tried this in multiple locations and all show good signal strength). I can listen to online podcasts, but cannot download them.

My apps will not update on my phone. I've turned my phone off and let it set and tried to update after and it didn't work. I've tried backing up and syncing and it didnt work either. I've tried to update the apps individually instead of all at once and I get a message such "name of the app is not available at this time" , but it updated on my iPad just fine. I can't use my apps on my phone as it acts like they are currently updating. It's been this way for three days.
