i am stuck in a tricky situation and would things first i know this is quite a frequently asked question as i have done a bit of searching on the net about it however could not not find anything that totaly matches myproblem, i have recently purchased a brand new laptop which runs windows 7 compared to my old desktop which ran XP, i have tried syncing all of my iphone 4s contents onto my new laptop's itunes library including everything not just music or videos and i got the infamous pop up "The iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this Itunes library" the problem is that my original itunes library does not exist no more as my desktop was completly wiped and had XP redownloaded onto it again because it had a virus, which also wiped all of my hard drive so i cant even get everything i backed up off of my phone from it, i have managed to sign in to the itunes store and allowed my laptop to work with itunes,i have also transferred my purchases from my phone to my new itunes library but this only includes my apps and obviously not my contacts and photos and everything, i still get the pop up if i go to sync my apps from my library anyway, is there any way i can delete my original itunes library without it even existing anymore so that i can just start afresh and sync everything i have on my phone now directly to my new itunes library? or do i need to purchase this iphone rip/backup/store software that everyone goes on about or something? to be honest its really annoying my now as i just want to be able to sync everything like how i used to,

My old PC died and I'm trying synch my Iphone to a PC that I haven't backed up to in many months and the contents of the the two don't match. My Iphone has everything I want on it. The PC wants to replace everything with its old backup when I turn on synch apps and music? i am in the process of moving to a new Mac (from an older Mac). Due to some corruption (i think) issues in the old iTunes Library, I have re-created iTunes from scratch on the new computer. iTunes on the new computer has been authorized and I re-downloaded clean new versions of ALL previously purchased Apps, Books, Movies and TV Shows from the iTunes store. I am using iCloud Match to only selectively download past purchased Music. I have also moved ALL personal non-iStore content (PDF Books, Movies, TV Shows and Ringtones) to the iTunes Library on the new Mac. So as it sits now, ALL iTunes content that was on my previous Mac now exists on the new Mac in a pristine folder structure managed by a pristine iTunes Library.
Since I did not transfer the old iTunes Library FILE to the new Mac, is it possible to plug in the iPhone and resume "business-as-usual" without any wiping or transfering taking place? Are there sections of the OLD iTunes Library XML that can be pasted into the new (clean) one to make the iPhone think this is just the same old computer? For further information, the iPhone is TOTALLY integrated into iCloud (syncing, backup, match, etc.).

In order to free up space on my IMac, I have moved all my itunes music to a portable hard drive. I ended up deleting the itunes library folder at the same time and consequently changed my defaulted itunes to the library folder within the hard-drive (which is attached to the computer at all times).
When launching itunes from the icon on the desktop, it launches the itunes within the hard-drive.
My issue now, is that I cannot transfer any of the music purchased in my i-phone to my i-tunes as it states the phone is synced to another library.
Is asks whether I want to sync it to the new one but I gather I will lose everything currently on my phone?
First, if I do proceed to sync it will it from now on sync to this itunes library and is there any way I can attempt to save the stuff already on it? Including music I've purchased from the i-tunes store and all my contacts?

The laptop I had my iTunes on recently quit on me. I created a new user account on a desktop and proceeded to log into my iTune account. When I plugged in my phone it told me to "removed and erase" to sync the computer with my phone. I figured it would add all the music to the library on the computer. I agreed and all the music from my phone went in the library, however it was all removed from my phone. I tried to sync it up, and when I try it tells me there's nothing in my library to snyc except a recently added CD. Now I have no music on my phone, and only 2 GB of the 19 GB I had on my previous library.

When working with Itunes and the iphone, the apps syncing checkbox is always on and faded, so I can't sync the music library without syncing the apps. I have several apps downloaded from cydia and don't wanna have to download again. Drag and drop is not working, so it also forces to install every app I have on iTunes (deleting non itunes apps) when I just want to install one. When I start the Media Sync program on my XP machine I immediately get a pop up that says the program has encountered an error and needs to close. It is the most recent version. This problem seems to not to be affected by whether or not Media Sync is started alone or through the Desktop manager.
However, the program opens, and acts like it is running anyway. (Just ignore the pop up.) A week ago, it was seeing my iTunes library and I could use it to put music from a playlist onto my Tour. Now, however, it does not see the iTunes library/playlist. It says it my library contains no songs. Sometimes, multiple attempts to start it it, it will see them, but then I cannot click the boxes that allow me to choose the playlist to sync them to the BB.

I recently purchased an iphone 4s, and shortly after, my son dowloaded a virus on my computer, and I had to a factory reset (for the 3rd time in 6 months). Now all of my playlists are stuck on my iphone. I have all of the music files backed up, but I really don't want to have to create all of my playlists AGAIN. I read a post online that said that if you create a playlist on the iphone, it will sync back to itunes, so I copied all of my existing playlists on the iphone again, so that they would now be 'new' playlists.
The problem is, when I start the sync to itunes, I get the message that says if I sync with the computer, all files on the iphone will be replaced with files from itunes. Right now, my itunes is empty. If I go through with the sync, am I going to lose everything on the iphone, or will it copy all of the 'new' playlists from the iphone into itunes? I guess it's not the end of the world if I have to recreate the whole library, but it took me about 12 hrs to do it last time, so I really don't want to have to go that route if I don't have to!
