I've been experiencing poor battery life on my Nokia 5800 XM recently. Sometimes on a full charge I could only get a day to a day and a half of standby time with minimal usage (2-3 texts, no calls and 5 photographs). I put this down to an old battery and ordered a new one.In the meantime we went to my parents-in-law and the battery lasted 5 days on a full charge including a reasonable amount of web browsing via WLAN.Got back home and the battery died a couple of days later despite being fully charged.
Put in a brand new battery, charged it up and used the phone - 2.5 days later it was dead (minimal texts and a couple of photos). Charged it again - 2 days standby before dead.Downloaded the power profile app - everything seemed to be fine. The phone idled nicely on standby with minimal power drain. Then I used the bluetooth and everything became clear. After connecting to OVI for a minute or two, downloading my photos then closing OVI and disabling the bluetooth on the phone, I noticed my power consumption didn't go back down. I was getting regular peaks of around 150ma and the battery life was considerably reduced.
If I left the bluetooth disabled and power cycled the phone, it would settle down to minimal usage. The moment bluetooth was enabled, the problem reocurred.I then backed the phone up, totally wiped the sd card and reinstalled from scratch.Exactly the same problem - fine until BT enabled then even when disabled, the phone started drawing excess current on idle.
I use auto power on/off on my BB Tour 9630. When it powers on it does not enable bluetooth automatically. I then have to manually enable bluetooth with Manage Connections. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Then I launch options scroll to Bluetooth and then enable Bluetooth there. Again sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I have to repeat, repeat this step or power off manually then power on. Thinking I should leave it powered on 24/7 and just leave bluetooth on 24/7.
I've never really used the Bluetooth on the icon before and wanted to know what the power drain would be like. I have the Denim update. A little background is that I want to use Bluetooth to connect to my car while commuting for phone calls. Do people just leave the blue tooth on all the time even when walking around? Or do you just turn it on when you get into the car
In this intermediate energy conservation mode for the PHONE not for accessories. The Bluetooth radio would be left powered DOWN in this mode and would only be powered up when needed/on-demand. For PLACING a call, it would require the call be ORIGINATED from the PHONE, as opposed to from the earpiece, or handsfree (the bluetooth headset/ handsfree/ accessories would be left on). As for receiving a call, it would HAVE to be answered through the phone. When in the intermediate bluetooth power conservancy mode, the phone would powerup the bluetooth, and do a quick search for a preferred-paired bluetooth device immediately preceding connecting the call. I do not mind the fact that when in this Bluetooth power conservancy mode one would have to interact with the phone to answer a call, since most of the time i want to SEE who's calling anyway i do not use caller ID text to speech/announcement anyway as i do not like it from a privacy standpoint
Please allow me to set bluetooth connection priority preference.Would be cool if simply re-ordering the list of paired BECKY TRIPP devices, would create a connection preference order.create a means to individually set each PAIRED bluetooth device with a trust level Meaning, if i pair my Atrix with my home computer, and i send a file from my home computer to my Atrix via Bluetooth, i'd like to be able to have set a per-device preference that would allow me to tell the Atrix to unquestioningly, and with user prompting, (there can be a Notice of the incoming file) accepth the file and download it to the default Bluetooth directory (or to my downloads directory).it would also be cool to be able to set system-wide defaults for where various downloaded media are stored based on the media type e.g. music files go to audio/music directory, videos go to vid directoty, documents go to Documents dir etc etc..
I was using my wireless headset for several months without any issues. I was wearing them today at the gym, made a phone call on them after the gym, and was listening to Howard Stern at work when the batteries started dying. No problems - was using them continuously for over 3.5 hours. I plugged them in, charged them for 4 hours, and now they won't turn back on. When I plug them in, the charging light comes on, then the blue "charge complete" light comes on after a couple of minutes, but when I try to turn them on, I get nothing. I purchased these because they were advertised as "sweat proof", but I'm beginning to think not. So my question is this, Motorola, am I doing something wrong, or, as I've found mentioned in several places in these forums, is there a design issue with your product?
I can't get my i phoe 4S to connect to my car bluetooth or my ear bluetooth. It has worked before with my plantronics ear bluertooth but not recently. What do I need to do.
I have just purchased an iPhone 6 but find I am unable to connect to devices using the bluetooth option. My previous 4S had no problem searching other devices.
I've got the Power Control Widget on one of the screens of my RAZV.I've worked out what 4 of the 5 buttons do but I'm at a loss as to what the 4th one is. It looks like a "sync" symbol.I can turn it on and off but have no idea what it is doing and the handbook doesn't mention it.
I just got this phone, This phone is super fast for menu speed. Haven't try the internet speed yet, but i think it is still quite impressive. My question is:I am now transfering my outlook email by cable from my PC to the phone. I now want to transfer the email when ever my phone is close enough to the PC(of course both bluetooth is turned on)Can anyone show me every steps ?Or still there is "walkthrough"/guide out there?
have just upgraded my ancient Nokia 6230 to a new 16GB X6. Overall I am pleased with the X6 BUT I have a problem with it sync'ing up with my Audi Bluetooth (its the OEM Audi Kit). X6 "pairs" with the Audi Bluetooth, On my Audi Sat Nav display which can be switched to a telephone display I get that its hooked up to the Orange phone network and I can make and receive calls with the Nokia X6 via the Audi interface. What does NOT happen is that my Nokia X6 phonebook does not upload to my Audi Bluetooth System. The Audi System should also show received and recently made phone calls. My old Nokia 6280, my company Nokia 6021 & my wifes Sony Ericsson K800i all work perfectly with the Audi Bluetooth system so something is definately "up" with the X6 Bluetooth interface. As the "Bluetooth" is supposed to be an Industry Standard, why is the X6 bluetooth operating differently or incorrectly or is there some sort of software application I need to download to fix it?
my hands-free bluetooth in my car worked this morning.I have a new Ford with the Sync system. Tonight I'm getting an error when trying to make a call. Error message says "phone not found" or "phone disconnected" The error message on the phone says". App_net_rim__bb_phone_app67 is not responding process terminated. Sounds ominous! I have the Bold 9700.
I can't synchronize my X10 (Andoid 2.1) with PC Companion via bluetooth despite being able to synchronoze the same phone with the same software (PC Companion). I start PC Companion and select to connect the phone via bluetooth and following the on-line instruction and manage to pair the phone but recieve an error message almost directly that PC Companion is not able to connect to the phone at this time and I am asked to try again later. According to X10 the pairing is succesful.
I have tried with two different computers with exactly the same result. When I check for software updates both the phone and PC Companion are reported to be of the latest versions. Furthermore, I have another phone, a SE Satio, and I am able to succesfully sync the Satio with the same laptop and the same PC Companion software; this indicates to me that the problem is not with the laptop, bluetooth or PC Companion. It strongly indicates a bug in the X10.
Would it be possible to have SE to clarify this with a simple Yes,... or No,...?Just to describe the problem: I can synchronize my X10 (Andoid 2.1) with PC Companion via the USB-cable but not via bluetooth. When I start PC Companion, select to connect the phone via bluetooth and following the on-line instruction I manage to pair the phone but directly receive an error message that PC Companion is not able to connect to the phone at this time (and I am asked to try again later). According to X10 the pairing is successful. I have tried with two different computers with exactly the same result. When I check for software updates both the phone and PC Companion are reported to be of the latest versions. Furthermore, I have another phone, a SE Satio, and I am able to succesfully sync the Satio with the same laptop and the same PC Companion software via bluetooth; this indicates to me that the problem is not with the laptop, bluetooth or PC Companion. It strongly points towards the X10...
I've searched and am struggling to find much on these. What do they do, and how are they different?
According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).
I just got my nexus 6p i noticed when i press power button I only see switch off option nothing else (restart or aeroplane mode etc) I scanned through everything and could not find anything,Attaching screen shot.
Synchronizing my N96 with ovi suite via bluetooth is horribly slow.Transferring only a single photo for example takes about 10 minutes.Even when I only sync contacts and messages, I can wait like 5 minutes or longer. Is there any known issue about syncing an N96 with ovi suite via bluetooth?I cant imagine why it would take so long. When I use direct file transfer, and not ovi suite, to transfer the same photo to my PC, it works at normal speed. (less than 10 seconds)When I use the usb cable to sync to ovi suite, its working at normal speed as well.Any ideas about this?
I was pulling my hair out trying to get media audio to stay connected on my S6 and Ford Sync audio system. I tried everything until I realized I had overlooked the obvious. Media audio would not stay connected, but call audio would. You have to select Bluetooth as the input on the Sync system. Only then will it say media audio connected on the phone and music will start playing assuming you have songs on the phone. So for those having trouble with media audio, make certain Bluetooth is selected on your car audio.
I was wondering if anyone else experiences this problem/has a solution? My BB Storm2 will sync via Bluetooth with my 2010 Audi Q5, but it has 3 problems:
1. The Contact's Name, City, State, Zip transfer, but not the address line. Makes navigation to a contact not possible. 2. No categories come across - the Audi only shows "Personal" and "Business" 3. Company names do not show up in the directory list - all contacts labeled as companies are blank lines in the Audi and the precede people names, so I have several screens of just a phone icon before I get a person's name.
Granted, I have 17 categories, 558 contacts. I sync with a Mac (OS X 10.6.2), but don't understand how/if that should make any kind of difference.
My Droil Pro last week worked fine with Sync and Blue Tooth. Then it started to disconnect. After connecting to Sync, in a about 15 seconds it will suddenly disconnect from Sync The Blue Tooth is still connected and it will stream music from my phone to Sync with no problems but the phone will not stay connected.
