IPhone :: Some Of The Apps In Itunes Library Were Not Installed On It?
Jun 30, 2012
I've just spent 2 hours before work last night, and another 3 since getting back, trying to figure out why iPhone 3G syncs kept dropping my Skype and Shazam apps.Performed 3 full time-consuming restores. Then every other bit of online advice I could find.Clicking "reset warnings" finally revealed this ( image included )I had always trusted iTunes to
Then a chat with a Skype agent reveals they don't support older versions or my 3G phone without iSO.4 Are ALL companies so out of touch with those struggling in the economic realities since 2008 ?!Apple, Skype, etc don't forget to update every blessed time we innovate relentlessly
I have recently had my lap top repaired and my Itunes has had to be erased, I have reinstalled Itunes and my Itunis es music library is now empty and I did not make a back up, is there anyway I can transfer all the music from Iphone back in to my music library if I sync it with Itunes library it is going to wipe all the music on my phone
how do I sync my apps to my itunes library, it is saying that it will erase all my apps on the phone and replace with library. I want it to be the apps on my phone...
I had been having a problem with my iPhone4s and Itunes communicating. Every time I attached my iPhone iTunes would report an error that the Library could not be updated. I followed instructions on how to more the .XML file, restart iTunes then reimport the library. The problem is that now NONE of the Apps I had are there, and if I attach my iPhone it wants to delete the apps on the phone and replace it with the ones in the iTunes Library, which at this point is only two! How do I get the apps on my iPhone BACK into my iTunes library!
it is possible to transfer your music library from a 1st gen Ipod touch to your itunes library on a Mac book pro. I have alomost 3000 songs as well as playlists on my Ipod and cant find anyway to transfer theses to my itunes library, meaning i can't add them to my 4s.
i am stuck in a tricky situation and would things first i know this is quite a frequently asked question as i have done a bit of searching on the net about it however could not not find anything that totaly matches myproblem, i have recently purchased a brand new laptop which runs windows 7 compared to my old desktop which ran XP, i have tried syncing all of my iphone 4s contents onto my new laptop's itunes library including everything not just music or videos and i got the infamous pop up "The iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this Itunes library" the problem is that my original itunes library does not exist no more as my desktop was completly wiped and had XP redownloaded onto it again because it had a virus, which also wiped all of my hard drive so i cant even get everything i backed up off of my phone from it, i have managed to sign in to the itunes store and allowed my laptop to work with itunes,i have also transferred my purchases from my phone to my new itunes library but this only includes my apps and obviously not my contacts and photos and everything, i still get the pop up if i go to sync my apps from my library anyway, is there any way i can delete my original itunes library without it even existing anymore so that i can just start afresh and sync everything i have on my phone now directly to my new itunes library? or do i need to purchase this iphone rip/backup/store software that everyone goes on about or something? to be honest its really annoying my now as i just want to be able to sync everything like how i used to,
I dont know how to connect to my itunes on my other pc, as it does not have itunes installed on it. I dont know how to untether my iphone so that I can use my personal hotspot
The hard drive of my computer recently died and with all my itune music library as well as my custom ringtones with it. I have now recreate all my custom ringtones and put them into a folder call Tones on my desktop. However, I cannot add the folder back into the itune library even after going through the itune add folder function on itune 10.6. Is this a known problem for the itune 10.6? The old itune on my dead hard drive has a folder called tones under the library. The itune 10.6 does not have that folder.
Can I get the music from my itunes library (ie, those songs I've copied into the library from my CDs, not purchased on itunes) onto my iphone, either via icloud or directly onto my device?
I was given an old I phone 3g.I want to use it as an ipod for music only.I followed Allen Sampson's instructions on wiping the content from the phone, but then when I went to my itunes music library and synced, nothing came on to the phone. How do I get my music from my computer on to this phone?
I want to be able to put some songs from my computer at home onto my iphone, however my iphone is usually synced with my laptop that I use for school, is it possible to sync some songs without erasing everything?
I orginally plug my iphone into my laptop the first time this has now gone wrong so I have plugged it into my main computer tonight to sync some more music but it will not appear in the side bar of itunes library
I have 2 iphones, one mine and one my partners.Since we have had the two iphones I cant get the itunes library songs onto either of our phones from itunes when syncing etc. Before when it was only my iphone I had all the songs in itunes, on my iphone... What i am doing or not doing?
I am trying to transfer itunes library to a new iphone 4s. MacBook Air is telling me that I am not a authorized user. Where do I look to see which device is blocking me....computer or new phone?
In order to free up space on my IMac, I have moved all my itunes music to a portable hard drive. I ended up deleting the itunes library folder at the same time and consequently changed my defaulted itunes to the library folder within the hard-drive (which is attached to the computer at all times).
When launching itunes from the icon on the desktop, it launches the itunes within the hard-drive.
My issue now, is that I cannot transfer any of the music purchased in my i-phone to my i-tunes as it states the phone is synced to another library.
Is asks whether I want to sync it to the new one but I gather I will lose everything currently on my phone?
First, if I do proceed to sync it will it from now on sync to this itunes library and is there any way I can attempt to save the stuff already on it? Including music I've purchased from the i-tunes store and all my contacts?
I have iTunes 9.2 Beta installed along with iOS 4.0. However, I have loaded up my iTunes 9.2 Beta and her library (shared) is showing even though her computer is turned off and when I click on it, it comes up with this (screen shot attached!) We both have MobileMe and iPhones. is this new?
I upgraded my iPhone to iOS 5.1 recently, and reinstalled OS X this weekend, and now that I'm trying to back up the content of my iPhone on my Mac, I can't seem to find the music and photos (among other things) that are supposed to have been saved from the iPhone onto my computer. The iTunes library is empty. What should I do to actually back up the content of my iPhone. Has never happened before...
Info: iPhone 4, Other OS, Running iOS 5, not on the list...
I never use Sync on the iphone but since I got the new iPhone 4 I can't add music to my phone anymore from iTunes. Is there a way to do this without Syncing?
My old PC died and I'm trying synch my Iphone to a PC that I haven't backed up to in many months and the contents of the the two don't match. My Iphone has everything I want on it. The PC wants to replace everything with its old backup when I turn on synch apps and music? Would like it if Itunes would treat this like a new phone and just back everything up, is there a way to get it to do this?
i am in the process of moving to a new Mac (from an older Mac). Due to some corruption (i think) issues in the old iTunes Library, I have re-created iTunes from scratch on the new computer. iTunes on the new computer has been authorized and I re-downloaded clean new versions of ALL previously purchased Apps, Books, Movies and TV Shows from the iTunes store. I am using iCloud Match to only selectively download past purchased Music. I have also moved ALL personal non-iStore content (PDF Books, Movies, TV Shows and Ringtones) to the iTunes Library on the new Mac. So as it sits now, ALL iTunes content that was on my previous Mac now exists on the new Mac in a pristine folder structure managed by a pristine iTunes Library.
Since I did not transfer the old iTunes Library FILE to the new Mac, is it possible to plug in the iPhone and resume "business-as-usual" without any wiping or transfering taking place? Are there sections of the OLD iTunes Library XML that can be pasted into the new (clean) one to make the iPhone think this is just the same old computer? For further information, the iPhone is TOTALLY integrated into iCloud (syncing, backup, match, etc.).

I recently lost my photos, and reloaded a backup through iTunes to iPhone, but the quality is terrible in the albums and events, only camera roll is fine. I still have good photos on my iPad but I dare not plug it in to iTunes in case the photos get wiped. How can I rebuild the mac iPhoto library from my iPad?
i have been told that i shouldnt delete songs from my library even if i have converted them to my iphone device on the pc cause next time i will syns my ihpne to pc the songs will be deletred from my iphone as well.the list in the library under the music map gets too long so i want to organize those songs in different playlists.so my question is how do i do that?i tried to go to file and click on new playlist but that playlist shows up in the end.first u have library then store, iphone device, shared, genius ant then in the end playlists.so that playlist shows up here.so i wonder that is not under the library..so is those playlists a part of the library?i mean if i download a song here in the playlist category and not under the music map under the library will it be saved here when i convert that song to my iphone device.is this the same as library?cause i taught if i wanna make a playlist in the library it will show up under the library..
My iTunes library is perfect with all artworks for every album and songs. Since not long ago, on my iPhone 4 I started to miss some of the artwork on my phone. The artwork is in iTunes all good but it won't transfer over the phone or ipad.
What I tried to solve my problem so far: -Soft reset the iPhone -Hard reset the iPhone (holding power and home button) -Restore the iPhone from backup -Change the artwork in iTunes for a new one (Refresh it) -Try to paste an artwork on the iPhone via iTunes in the devise section using command I on all the album. -Look for third party software like Tuneup to get the artwork.

I have got a new computer and want to sync my iPhone to the iTunes library on my new computer. How I disassociate my iPhone with the iTunes on the old computer and sync my iPhone with the iTunes on the new computer without having any content on my iPhone erased? I have already created a backup of the iPhone on the new computer.
A while ago, my computer crashed and wiped out everything. I had to install Itunes. I've had my iPhone 4 for a year, and have many pictures and music on it. I still haven't updated my phone to version 5.1, and i would like to.. but my computer is saying that i should transfer all my apps, music, etc, so i don't lose it, but i do not know how to do that.
