I want to be able to put some songs from my computer at home onto my iphone, however my iphone is usually synced with my laptop that I use for school, is it possible to sync some songs without erasing everything?

Recently I started using my iPhone on a new iTunes on my laptop. I have been getting songs and using the autofill button to sync all the new songs I am downloading. However, after I downloaded one song and I pressed the autofill button, iTunes gave me a message that read, "iTunes cannot add any songs to the iPhone "____'s iPhone" because no songs in the iTunes library can be copied to this iPhone."

I had a hard time getting icloud songs off from there, but somehow after much trial and error I was able to get those songs off. However, I still have at least 10 random songs on my iphone that I have not intentionally put on there. There is no icloud icon next to those songs. I have about 6 or 7 songs that I want to permanently delete from my iTunes library and iPhone. They keep showing up even after I've unchecked/deleted them. I've used the manual option and selected the artists, genres, etc. that I still want, but the deleted songs keep appearing. I bought these songs off of the iTunes store I didn't use my iPhone. I don't have the iTunes Match option turned on my phone, nor do I use iCloud. I don't know what else to do besides manually selecting all of my songs and putting them into a folder, deleting the blasphemous songs that I don't want anymore, deleting my iTunes library and resetting my iPhone and copying the songs from the folder back into my iTunes library.

i am stuck in a tricky situation and would things first i know this is quite a frequently asked question as i have done a bit of searching on the net about it however could not not find anything that totaly matches myproblem, i have recently purchased a brand new laptop which runs windows 7 compared to my old desktop which ran XP, i have tried syncing all of my iphone 4s contents onto my new laptop's itunes library including everything not just music or videos and i got the infamous pop up "The iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this Itunes library" the problem is that my original itunes library does not exist no more as my desktop was completly wiped and had XP redownloaded onto it again because it had a virus, which also wiped all of my hard drive so i cant even get everything i backed up off of my phone from it, i have managed to sign in to the itunes store and allowed my laptop to work with itunes,i have also transferred my purchases from my phone to my new itunes library but this only includes my apps and obviously not my contacts and photos and everything, i still get the pop up if i go to sync my apps from my library anyway, is there any way i can delete my original itunes library without it even existing anymore so that i can just start afresh and sync everything i have on my phone now directly to my new itunes library? or do i need to purchase this iphone rip/backup/store software that everyone goes on about or something? to be honest its really annoying my now as i just want to be able to sync everything like how i used to,

Whenever I try to sync my playlists onto my MotoACTV from Itunes only half of the songs make it. I received a message stating that "662 files are protected" so they did copy over. How do I unprotect those songs? I have looked in Itunes and cannot find out how.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded some of my old CD's to itunes and I've noticed that the songs are not downloading to my iphone, even when I go to my phone and music and check the box. I've sync'd like 5 times and nothing.
I've also noticed that some of my CD's that I've downloaded are listed under my other music but its not available to checkmark the box under my music.
I have no idea what's going on. Is is a PC issue? Is it an itunes issue?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been using N86 for the past 2-3 years and this week I switched to nokia n8, I upgraded it to belle the very first day and everything seems to be working well n good except for this thing. I have above 700 songs in my music library and there is no way to mark multiple songs in the music library of nokia n8 so that I can add them to specific playlists. Is there some simpler way to do this maybe I am missing it because its my first experience with a touch phone. OR has nokia been so ignorant that this feature was not implemented in this OS, which I personally think is not possible (cos I don't expect such a thing from Nokia btw). I don't want to long press every single song and then add to playlist and repeat the same process for above 700 records it will take me a whole day I guess.

I have now recreate all my custom ringtones and put them into a folder call Tones on my desktop. However, I cannot add the folder back into the itune library even after going through the itune add folder function on itune 10.6. Is this a known problem for the itune 10.6? The old itune on my dead hard drive has a folder called tones under the library. The itune 10.6 does not have that folder.
