when i minimize my skype app on iphone. my friends find me as online and if they call, i do not receive any call in standby condition.
if i make it active again by tap on skype icon then i can receive calls mainly i need to receive call on skype even it is in standby condition

I managed my panels so the only that displays is the 'All' panel. However, when I go to my home screen, the 'All' panel is getting minimized and I'm not able to see the 4 icons at the bottom of the home screen. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how I can fix this (so I can see the 4 icons at the bottom of the home screen)?

Unfortunately, I had to downgrade back to 5.0.1 as I could not complete Organizer synchronization - I kept getting an error message saying that an unknown error had occurred. There didn't seem to be any log files I could look at to see what might be causing the problem.

I still went to privacy settings, but no apps showed up there. But on the camera, while I had multiple apps that use it, none showed up either. In fact, tthe only privacy setting working right was location services!

When making or receiving voice calls via my network operator's service, no one can hear me, i.e my audio input. I can hear the person on the other end of the phone fine but they can't hear me whatsoever. However when I use the likes of viber, skype and facetime, my audio input is perfectly fine and the person on the other end of can hear me. Note both viber and skype calls work just fine and 2 way communication is audible regardless if I have a 3G or Wifi connection. Plus I have full signal bar strength when near a mobile tower so that eliminates antenna issues. Also have taken alternative turns to cover both the top mic and the bottom mic during a viber or skype call and my audio input can still be heard. I've done a reset, a hard reset of the phone and a reset of the network settings, still to no avail. Have updated iOS to the latest version 5.1.1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have experienced an unusual problem on my HTC One. My device does not get charged at all on switched on condition even if I change cables or any other charging adaptors. It does not show anything even if I connect to the computer via USB cable. But when I switch off the device and plug into the ac power, first it shows bright red led indicator and sign of the battery for 9-10 seconds, then the brightness of led indicator decreases and at the same time it shows battery charging with battery percentage for 6-7 seconds then led indicator and sign of battery goes off completely.
Again after 4 seconds same process happens. It took about 8 hours to charge the battery from 20%-100% on Switched off condition. I did factory reset, battery calibration (I connected charger for 10-15 mins in switched off condition, then I pressed and hold power button, volume up and volume down button for 2-3 mins which repeatedly restarted the handset) as well but the problem is same.
These many days nokia people worked on BELLE.. Now they released some buggy OS. SKYPE is not at all working.. Once I clicked on Sign-in button, it is getting closed automatically..
People are very angry on nokia, don't test customers.. You are giving that much good mobiles and you people are not able to provide gud operating system for those mobiles.
I just installed the Skype App on my VZW Blackberry Tour 9630. When I try to run it I get: Error Starting Skype_mobile: Module 'Skype_mobile-10' has verification errors.I have rebooted the device and tried reinstalling the app.

I have a 5800 which I have been using without issue for 6 months or so. Several days ago, I decided to install the Skype app, for whatever reason. However, once I did this, several problems suddenly sprang up.
First, when I receive a text message to my phone, nothing happens to notify me of this. Most of the time the little envelope in the corner shows up, but not always. No sound or vibration, however, no matter what profile I have it set on. The phone still rings when I receive a call, and for alarms, but not for text messages.
Second, my accelerometer seems to have stopped working. I DID get it to work once, and the phone flipped to landscape view, but then wouldn't flip back.
I've since uninstalled skype, deleted the install file, turned the phone on and off, took the battery out and put it back in, played with all the settings, etc., and no dice.
Problem with microphone while talking through Skype. My microphone stops working after about 5 min of video chat.

I installed skype and when trying to make International Voice calls, all I see the blue backgroud with Skype call outgoing icon and then nothing happens. Sometimes, the call gets active as in it shows the seconds counter of the call,but nobody can here anything on either side of the call. I do have some credit balance in my Skype account.
I tried re-installing the app but to no avail.
Previously, I had an Android device and when I tried to make same International mobile calls now in it, I am able to connect and talk without any issues. I also chatted with an Skype support team and they also couldn't get much. They said that I am reporting such type of issue for first time and told that one of their tech specialist will get in touch with me once they have completely assessed the issue.
Today I discovered my speakerphone was not working. On phone calls, the speakerphone light comes on but the audio only comes from the earpiece. Every few calls, the speakerphone starts working midway through the call. On Skype video calls, the same thing. The audio comes only from the earpiece. I have removed and reinstalled Skype. No change. The ringer works as do all the notifications so the speaker is working. I have tried disabling bluethooth to make sure it was not interfering. No change.

I took that case off tonight for the first time in my iPhone 3GS's lifetime and was reminded why I never liked hard cases. The iPhone 3GS looks much nicer without a plastic case, though I liked the peace of mind that a plastic case offers.
Since my iPhone 3GS will be going up on eBay and likely kept with myself until mid-July when I buy my iPhone 4 (I was going to preorder it this week...), I'd like to retain the way my iPhone 3GS looks like new, aside from a hairline scratch or two. I'm OCD with my devices (only setting it down on a soft surface, etc) but I'd like to be "normal" with it for my last few weeks of usage, so not have much regard for where I set my iPhone as long as it won't fall, keep it (alone) in my pocket without any type of sleeve, etc.
Is the iPhone 3GS really durable enough to be in a fantastic condition when an eBay buyer receives it? I've noticed through comparing my sales of the last two iPhone generations with others' sales, an iPhone that still looks new can receive prices of upwards of $100 over other used iPhones.

My mum gave me her old iPhone 4s. It's the first time I've had a smart phone so I am a bit new to it. I tried to download Skype for iPhone, but it said my phone couldn't have it. I had the same with BBC Radio iPlayer. Some apps say I don't have the right operating system - I get that, but why do some apps just say my phone can't have a certain app? Is it because I am wirth giffgaff and am not on a contract but have sim only and then buy monthly goody bags?
