skype has stopped working on my phone since last 2 days. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a fresh version from ovi store. Even then skye didn't worked. I strarts and when i click log, it gets closed automatically. What could be the possible solution?

Now a few weeks back my fring application is also lost i can installs fring but it got stuck in opening page. I re install this fring more than 10 times but it remains same problem. I also formant my mobile and memory card and after i intslled fring. but it remains same problem.

Recently on my vacation Ive realized it's time to reinstall skype after updating to Belle.At first I tried the nokia store client. Skype was there (so its supported for c7??) but after download it didn't initiate install. download error it said. I tried downloading it and installing through ovi suite on my pc but to no avail. It did start the install on the device but then said that this version is not compatible with the device.. ? on nokia store I am of course logged in and it shows apps for my c7 allegedly . I then went to the skype mobile website which didn't even let me download skype but also snarled at me that the device is incompatible.So my question is i guess
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought a C6-01 to replace my old E66. I installed skype and fring from Ovi Store. Voice calls from skype and fring are not working at all. Skype voice calls are displaying "skype call failed" while fring voice calls are hanging the phone totally. Chat sessions from skype and fring are working though. I tried re-installing it from skype and fring websites but still has the same problem. Re-installed it again from Ovi Store and still with the same problems. I checked if there is any available software update on the C6-01 online but none available.
This must be a Nokia problem as it happens both on Skype and Fring applications. I have been using these 2 applications on my other S60 Nokia phones and it works ok. Nokia's software quality on newly released models seem to be deteriorating. This is truly a bad reputation on Nokia considering all logged problems/issues in this forum. It is just a matter of one person posting all these on Facebook. I wonder if Nokia intends to compete with iPhones and Samsung smart phones. Not to mention that Android phones are becoming to be popular now. I hope Nokia will fix these problems quickly or these will definitely affect their sales.
Any knwos whether Skype can make video calls on C7-00. If so please provide a link to software of upload the sis file.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 which I have been using without issue for 6 months or so. Several days ago, I decided to install the Skype app, for whatever reason. However, once I did this, several problems suddenly sprang up.
First, when I receive a text message to my phone, nothing happens to notify me of this. Most of the time the little envelope in the corner shows up, but not always. No sound or vibration, however, no matter what profile I have it set on. The phone still rings when I receive a call, and for alarms, but not for text messages.
Second, my accelerometer seems to have stopped working. I DID get it to work once, and the phone flipped to landscape view, but then wouldn't flip back.
I've since uninstalled skype, deleted the install file, turned the phone on and off, took the battery out and put it back in, played with all the settings, etc., and no dice.
Problem with microphone while talking through Skype. My microphone stops working after about 5 min of video chat.

I installed skype and when trying to make International Voice calls, all I see the blue backgroud with Skype call outgoing icon and then nothing happens. Sometimes, the call gets active as in it shows the seconds counter of the call,but nobody can here anything on either side of the call. I do have some credit balance in my Skype account.
I tried re-installing the app but to no avail.
Previously, I had an Android device and when I tried to make same International mobile calls now in it, I am able to connect and talk without any issues. I also chatted with an Skype support team and they also couldn't get much. They said that I am reporting such type of issue for first time and told that one of their tech specialist will get in touch with me once they have completely assessed the issue.
Today I discovered my speakerphone was not working. On phone calls, the speakerphone light comes on but the audio only comes from the earpiece. Every few calls, the speakerphone starts working midway through the call. On Skype video calls, the same thing. The audio comes only from the earpiece. I have removed and reinstalled Skype. No change. The ringer works as do all the notifications so the speaker is working. I have tried disabling bluethooth to make sure it was not interfering. No change.

I still went to privacy settings, but no apps showed up there. But on the camera, while I had multiple apps that use it, none showed up either. In fact, tthe only privacy setting working right was location services!

When making or receiving voice calls via my network operator's service, no one can hear me, i.e my audio input. I can hear the person on the other end of the phone fine but they can't hear me whatsoever. However when I use the likes of viber, skype and facetime, my audio input is perfectly fine and the person on the other end of can hear me. Note both viber and skype calls work just fine and 2 way communication is audible regardless if I have a 3G or Wifi connection. Plus I have full signal bar strength when near a mobile tower so that eliminates antenna issues. Also have taken alternative turns to cover both the top mic and the bottom mic during a viber or skype call and my audio input can still be heard. I've done a reset, a hard reset of the phone and a reset of the network settings, still to no avail. Have updated iOS to the latest version 5.1.1.

I open it but the following message appear-Connection Failed -Your internet settings shlould be activated for java applications, or try again later. Check your phone maual or www.ebuddy.com on how to do this. If not you can always use or lite messenger.I called my operator's customer service "Vodafone-Egpyt" and they assured that my internet settings is well configured and that is most probably a problem from the cell phone.
