BB Curve 8520/8530 :: Read Message Icon Stuck On Home Screen
Aug 10, 2010I have a Curve 8520, and suddenly tonight, I have a read message icon on the home screen that won't go away. I have no emails or messages at all on my phone anymore, and I cleared the messages from the advanced tab thingy on the desktop manager. I've done a battery pull, turned it off and waited a few minutes before turning it back on, and nothing has worked. I even tried sending a text message to my phone from my husband's, and it showed up as 2 messages on the icon, but when I deleted that new text msg, it went back down to 1 read message and is still there.

May 7, 2012I have Yahoo on my iPhone, right? When I read an email in my Yahoo account on my iPhone, and later log into my Yahoo account, it shows those messages as read. Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. Nov 22, 2014Like others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.

Apr 7, 2012I used to be able to sync my iphone 4 to itunes with no problems, all of a sudden every time I plug it in I get a message that says itunes can't read the contents of my iphone, restore to factory settings. I do not want to restore it and lose all of my information on the phone. I have tried a different usb cable and port, and restarting the phone and neither one worked. I can sync and back up my phone on itunes again.

Now whenever she connects the iPhone to her iTunes, she gets the following message :- " iTunes cannot read the contents of 'iPhones 3GS'. Go to summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings. " We have both googled this and cannot find any alternative to a factory restore. However, we found cases where iPhone users with this issue have done the restore only for it to only work one time and the next sync gives the warning again.

Mar 3, 2010I see that there is a Kindle app for the Iphone. Being a book worm I first was jumping for joy. I thought that books were going to be really cheap since they don't have to print anything. I was thinking new releases maybe $2.99 and old books $1. Boy was I wrong.

May 17, 2012Can I read mail in my inbox without downloading newmail from the server? I would like to be able to open Mail and read an email without it downloading new emails and using up data and battery -I'd rather set it to manually do that. There's a feature to "fetch manually" but either it is not working or I am misunderstanding how it works. Everytime I open Mail it checks the server. I played around with turning on and off Fetch and Push. Seems unfortunate that I might not be able to read an email in my inbox without downloading unknown large emails while traveling where data and battery are sometimes difficult to manage.

I own a lot of epbus that I got from all over the net(mostly via torrent) I don't have these books in any web library or bookstore sites. I just have the files on my notebook. I read then on my notebook using calibre. Calibre is nice but 'd like to read the books on the go, on the phone. Â
I tried Blufire but when I added my epub ebooks on itunes and synced they didn't get transfered to the Bluefire app on my phone. The same happened w/ Ebook reader. Â
