I used the internet normally, untik such a time that i decided to chance my network from zain to mobily (networks from KSA), however, i cannot chage the APN since it is missing. im rinning ai IOS 5.1.1 iphone 4S. how could i bring back the cellular data network? as far as i know i have that before (IOS 5) and im not sure if the update took it off or some other reason.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife's phone stopped working last weekend. I went through the T-mobile technical care people and their solution was to replace the phone. Unfortunately the phone has a small crack in the bottom bezel so they won't replace it unless I pay the $175 deductible. I am hands on enough to fix some parts of the phone (I've replaced the screen on my G3 twice) so I thought I'd give it a shot here.
Her phone will work on wifi, but if you turn wifi off or if she goes out of wifi range her phone stops working. When the t-mobile person tried to have me manually connect it to the network, it said unable to connect to the network, please try again. We did a soft and hard reset. They tried to refresh my network connectivity and none of these options worked. We moved the sim card into my phone and it worked just fine. So obviously there is a hardware issue going on.
After transition from BES to BIS I get the following message when trying to connect to internet:"Browsing over the cellular network is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse the web you must use wi-fi or contact your service provider to chase your service plan."My service provider says that all settings on their side are OK and doesn't know how to help as BB has no helpdesk in Czech Republic. Browser works properly with wi-fi only. Incoming and outgoing e-mails work in BB as well.

But every few minutes or so I get the alert saying that I "Cannot activate cellular data network - You are not subscribed to a cellular data service", and it's really annoying because it lights up my iPhone all the time and kills my battery. It's also really annoying - it comes up whenever I'm typing a message or playing a game; literally when I do ANYTHING on my phone. I do not have a data plan, but I have used 'unlockit.co.nz' to install a Fake APN to my iPhone to block data. Rogers has also given me a data block. This has been going on ever since I bought the phone, I thought installing a Fake APN would stop it but I guess not. I can't really restore since I have a lot of stuff on this iPhone already.. but if that's the only option then I will be forced to. I used to have an unlocked Fido 3G (about 2 months ago) without data and it never gave me this alert, do you think it has something to do with my 3GS being locked to Rogers?
This phone is a jailbroken iPhone 3GS (model MC143C) running version 3.1.3 (7E18) and locked to the "Rogers 5.0" network. If it helps the modem firmware is 05.12.01.if there are no real solutions, I still have 2 months left on my warranty. Would Apple fix it or give me a new one if I un-jailbreak it?

I have Yahoo on my iPhone, right? When I read an email in my Yahoo account on my iPhone, and later log into my Yahoo account, it shows those messages as read. Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. So I got my first ever iPhone and it's the iPhone 4. I have the 200mb plan and I plan to switch cellular data off most of the time if wifi is available to avoid overage. Thing is, with cellular data off, I can't do certain things (ex. Receive picture messages via the Messages app) unless I turn on cellular data. So as long as wifi is available, will my phone still use up cellular data even though it can get data off the wifi? Thanks.
