IPhone :: Safari Start With Bookmarks Page?
Aug 17, 2010whenever I hit the safari icon on my iphone4, instead of launching the broswer the bookmarks page pops up.
Why is that? has anyone seen this

Apr 19, 2012On my older iPhones, the Safari bookmarks always used to slurp up from my computer onto the phone so I could use them on the phone. Now, that does not happen, the bookmarks on the phone are old and never update when I plug my phone into iTunes to update.

May 14, 2012Has anyone seen this? I am fully up-to-date on all software, and Safari (iOS) crashes every time I tap the bookmarks icon. Every time. It used to work fine, and I failed to notice when it started crashing.

Is there a way to restore it, without setting ecerything on the iPhone back to factory settings? On iTunes, I am reluctant to choose "set back" or reset, I do not want to reset everything-

IPhone :: Safari Says Cannot Load Page
May 30, 2012For the past couple of days, I keep getting the message that Safari cannot load a page when I click on links or try to do a search on my iPhone. My signal strength would be strong the whole time. And if I keep hitting reload, the page will usually eventually load, but it's taking a lot of time. I don't have the same problem with other apps that require a data connection. I've already tried rebooting the phone multiple times by pressing the home and power buttons simultaneously, but that hasn't solved the problem. I also cleared history, cookies, and data. I haven't tested it enough yet while I've been on a Wi-Fi connection since the past couple of days I've mostly been on 3G so not sure if it's a network issue although as I mentioned the signal strength appears very strong and if I launch other apps that use a network connection, they have no loading issues.

Jun 28, 2010Is anyone else intermittently getting a pop-up alert on their i4 Safari that states "Cannot Open Page Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found"?I only get this on 3G and not WiFi and it's intermittent but frequent enough to be a hassle. It's happening on a number of websites. I have erased my unit and restored and even erased my i4 and did a fresh setup and get the same results. If I try to open the same website in Opera, it opens fine. Five minutes later, the site will typically open up in Safari. My wife's 3GS with iOS4 does not seem to have this issue.Apps using 3G do not seem to have this intermittent issue, they never have a problem communicating. The only other issue I see is the Apps Store will intermittently come back with a "can't connect error". I have seen a few people post the same Safari issue on the Apple support forums but I am surprised to see no one here mentioning it, making me wonder if it's my phone or AT&T. I am on the 2 gig data plan since I added this phone as a new line vs. replacing my 3GS line (that line and phone are going to someone else).

Dec 6, 2014I cannot scroll (horizontally) in a single line text box on a web page in Safari on my iPhone when the text is longer than the text box. I am pretty sure that I used to be able to do this (before iOS 8). I don't remember the last time I tried to do this. I used to touch and hold to bring up the magnifying glass and then when I would move the cursor to the beginning/end of the text box the text would scroll. Now when I try to move the cursor to the end of the text box nothing happens. If I try to move the cursor past the end of the text box the cursor actually moves outside of the text box where the text would be. If I then start typing the text jumps so the cursor is at the end of the text box. This doesn't seem to work to get back to the beginning of the text. Â

I've tried to change the homepage, the subsequent tabs, delete and reinstall the update, but no avail. It still tries to load the deleted document.
