BB Curve :: Browser Start Page Glitch?
Mar 11, 2012Whenever I try to visit a web site using my browser, by clicking a link or accessing a site from my history, The page starts to load but then the Start Page opens instead.

BB Bold 9000 :: Browser Start Page?
Jan 5, 2010I was wondering if anyone can help me with changing my start page on the bb browser. It loads up to the AT&T MediaNet and when i go into the options to change it I'm unable to. I can't type or delete anything from the field.

Aug 27, 2012I have a BlackBerry Curve 8520 running BB OS 5. Recently the default BB browser will not load pages. After navigating to any page the loading bar at the bottom of the screen will fill up but when it is fill the browser will display a blank page. I installed Opera Mini on the devise and it opens up and displays all web pages fine. I have tried removing the battery and re inserting it without success. I am also unable to reinstall the browser from the BB desktop app. Is there any way to fix this issue without reintalling the OS from scratch?

Jul 27, 2011I have a Curve 9300 on a 'Social Plan' offered by Telus...it was a promotional plan that came with the phone. This plan DOES NOT INCLUDE DATA USAGE, but, it does give me unlimited usage of preloaded social networking apps (this included Facebook 1.6 or w.e it was, as well as BBM, Twitter, and a few others that don't matter).Today, I decided to 'upgrade' my Facebook app to 2.0. All attempts to log-in are met with this message: "We are unable to reach the Facebook server at this time. (0)" One other thing that should be noted is that I wasn't able to upgrade the app conventionally, due to a glitch I am unsure of. I uninstalled Facebook 1.6 and installed 2.0 from the App World site.

May 9, 2012my phone is approx 2 years old and a few months ago developed a glitch in that it shows the number of the text messages I have, and the number is increasing despite the fact that I have deleted all texts from the phone. I noticed that when I switch the phone on after a period off, it adds new messages and shows them as "new" (with that sparkly sign at the corner of it). I wonder whether there is a way of deleting this misleading icon from the home-screen?

May 4, 2010Starting when I installed 5.0.0.545, and continuing on .593, and .593 pwncakes hybrid I have this minor problem I did not used to have. On my browser's go to page, the icons for the search options are cut off or missing. See the images below. This did not happen with my stock .293, .405, or any versions I used prior to .545
Is this "normal" or is something a little off with my 9700? I don't think I've wiped it since my .545 install, just upgraded.
BB Bold :: Browser Shuts Down When The Page Is Too Large?
May 21, 2011I have a 9700 bold & updated it to os 6 recently.I have never had any problems before but since updating it, when I am browsing different sites I will get a message saying 'closing this page because its too large', and then the page just shuts down.Its seriously annoying me as I had no problems ever before the update and I have had blackberry's for nearly 3 years without issues.Also I recently had a new router installed by an IT company and my wifi will not work with it at all, although it says I have full signal.I have tried everything - the usual reboot etc - the IT guy said he spoke to someone from BB and they said it was something to do with the bb blocking the router security wise.

Feb 7, 2010not sure if it is already been discussed, but I was looking at a post for tabbed browsing and I just found that the standard web browser on the 5800 supports even a better feature: you can open N pages and then you can get a "slide view" of them. Open a page, then oper another, and another, then go to the option menu and click on the "Panoramic" button (not sure if Panoramic is the term used in English, anyway is the symbol with 3 sheets of paper one on another), and just swipe your finger to get the page you need.

Go back to the topic list, scroll down a bit (maybe half way), then tap a link. More times than not, you will be placed roughly halfway down the new page, making you scroll up to read the page from the top.
