My issue is i have been able to received mms from my contacts, however when i myself try to send one it comes up with an "error: please try again". The only thing is once i turn imessage on and send the picture it then works.

I have an unusual issue I would like some assistance on since I just got a blackberry, I have the Curve 2 8530. I use Total Call Blocking with my carrier so that when I call anyone my number is automatically blocked / restricted. Therefore, in my contact list, I have my friends or family contacts listed with the *82 in front of the number to unblock for those people. This works fine for phone calls.
However, on Text Messaging / Picture Messaging, the *82 will cause these messages to fail. I am used to LG phones, you have the ability to edit the number while creating a message, before your send one of these messages. The problem I am having is when I send a Text Message / Picture Message it appears from the blackberry as only the 10 digit number (even though the contact has *82 in front of it)...and the message shows it is sent (with the check mark) but it NEVER received.
Can i disable iMessage, then just use normal messaging, a normal message will be sent like a SMS right?
And will Siri use SMS too?I'm not too fond on iMessage, I prefer the normal Messaging service on iPhone?Also does Messaging work fine without iMessage?

I don't have texting added to my provider contract and need to prevent some folks from texting when they don't have an iPhone. Otherwise I get charge for just receiving message solicited or not.

If I receive a text and want to forward it to another person I select "Edit", mark the item(s) and select "Forward". I am then presented with the "New Message" screen and I enter the aprpopriate "To:" and hit "Send".
More time than not, when I hit "Send" I am dropped out to my iPhone home screen. Seem like an iMessage (SMS) bug to me
I am using an iPhone 4s on AT&T running IOS 5.1.1.
I can send pictures and videos to most people. Recently I continue to get a red not delivered whenever I send pictures or video to 2 other iMessage users. I can send them text messages, just not photos or videos and only to the two other people. Do you think the problem is with my phone or theirs?

The Messaging app worked properly until I needed to send the phone away for service about two months ago. When the phone came back, I used the Sony desktop app to restore my data. After that, whenever I receive a picture via text message and I press the picture to open it, the wrong picture appears. For example, I received a picture today from a friend. When I click on it, an old picture from my camera roll appears. I have tried clearing the Messaging app's cache, disabling it, restarting the phone, and then re-enabling the Messaging app. Nothing works.

The other texting apps on my phone (Messenger, by Google, for example) work properly. The problem is isolated to the Messaging app from Sony. And my phone works properly otherwise - this is the only issue.
I'm using Samsung galaxy s2 unlocked from bell. ISP: Fido prepaid account, with unlimited texting add on. I am unable to recieve picture messaging (MMS). Does it require data to recieve data and are you able to use your wifi to recieve mms? When i receive the mms, it just keeps saying download. I have tried enabling data packet but that doesnt work. My VPN settings is:

Having problems with their picture messaging on Lollipop preview? I have the newest preview and since then it has completely broken picture messaging. I can still get on the internet, but I can't send or receive pictures through text.

Sometimes when I text using MMS/iMessage, it takes a minute or so for the sending bar to make the swoosh noise. Kind of weird it takes that long to send a message, and it's not all the time. I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1 when it was released. My friend updated his iPhone 4S delayed, yesterday. Before yesterday iMessage worked well between our iPhones.But since my friend updated to iOS 5.1 as well, iMessage does not work anymore between our two iPhones.iMessage works well with all other adresses we both use as well. i have noticed that after switching to ios 5.1 my phone has been acting funny. for example: when i am messaging other iphone users with iMessage, it keeps switching from iMessage to regular text every 2 or 3 messages. at first i thought it was the other person since i am normally within my works wifi network and at my home wifi network, but it seems that this problem only occurs to other people when imessaging with me and not with anyone else. and this problem occurs to me while imessaging everyone, so i have come to the conclusion that the problem must be my phone. i have noticed this problem to occur since updating to ios 5.1. has anyone else experienced this problem? what can i do? i am 2 steps shy of reinstalling my phone.

I buyed sony ericsson xperia mini pro few months back. at that time i synced my contacts with facebook with facebook app. And i got all my friend's profile pictures as my contact pictures. But now when i changed my memory card i also formated my phone. I took backup of contacts on sim card. after installing new memory card i imported my contacts back to phone and synced facebook once again with my phone contacts. This time they got synced too but their facebook profile pics are not becoming my contact pictures. I also tried enabling facebook inside xperia but still it didn't worked. I want to get them done as quickly as possible.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9850 and when I used to send pics to a friend through BBM they would get the option to preview, save or cancel; in turn, I would receive the same option. When I clicked "save" it would download the full 1-2MB version of the pic in BBM, saving it to my picture folder. Yesterday they bought the same phone (Torch 9850) and now when either of us send a pic, neither of us have the option or are given the opportunity to download the actual picture file?!? We simply get a low quality 30KB image with no option other than to go to the BB file menu and click "save" which saves not the full high quality image, but the 30kb one we just received.
