Ringtones Purchased From ITunes Store Are Disappearing From IPhone 4s
Dec 2, 2014I have purchased and repurchased several ringtones from the iTunes store. They will show up on my phone but after a while they just disappear. When I connect my phone to my computer, they are listed under Tones under my device but they are greyed out. Under Settings and Tones in iTunes they are not listed at all.

Apr 11, 2012I have about 6 or 7 songs that I want to permanently delete from my iTunes library and iPhone. They keep showing up even after I've unchecked/deleted them. I've used the manual option and selected the artists, genres, etc. that I still want, but the deleted songs keep appearing. I bought these songs off of the iTunes store I didn't use my iPhone. I don't have the iTunes Match option turned on my phone, nor do I use iCloud. I don't know what else to do besides manually selecting all of my songs and putting them into a folder, deleting the blasphemous songs that I don't want anymore, deleting my iTunes library and resetting my iPhone and copying the songs from the folder back into my iTunes library.

Apr 10, 2012I'm not sure when this started but I've been putting up with it for a while. Most of the time when my iPhone 4s (iOS 5.1) syncs with iTunes (always running the latest version on Win 7) either via USB or WiFi, the songs I didn't purchase from the iTunes store (i.e. ripped) disappear from my iPhone. I have to then uncheck the box to sync music in iTunes and then recheck it so it copies all 2500+ songs back to the iPhone. I probably have to do this 2 times a week and would turn off syncing if I didn't have a need, but I do need it. This happens far more often on USB than WiFi but it's driving me crazy. While working with Apple support to troubleshoot another issue, I completely removed and reinstalled all Apple software and reset content and settings on my iPhone in the past 3-4 months.

May 3, 2012I have a iphone 4 (not S) and have purchased movies on it. Just some Pixar shorts. I want to move these purchases to my computer so they are backed up, in other words, sync the other way. I have my phone/itunes set to manually manage music and movies because my music library on my computer would be too big for the phone and I don't want all my music on my phone anyway. Problem is, I can't just drag the movies from my phone to my itunes when the phone is plugged in, and when I choose "sync movies" I get a warning box that says:Are you sure you want to sync movies? All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPhone "dorothy's iPhone" will be removed and replaced with movies from your iTunes library.
I want to avoid this so I don't have to take the time to reload particular songs/albums that I've already put on the phone. Isn't there a way to transfer purchases you've made on your phone onto your computer without losing everything that's already on your phone? Is there a way to sync only movies? One would think so if you just checked the box, but the words "all existing songs, movies, and TV shows" make me too nervous to check the box.
IPhone :: ITunes Purchased Alert Tones Appearing As Music, Not A Tone?
May 9, 2012I purchased an album of Alert Tones off of iTunes, but they appear as music on my iPhone, instead of as tones so I can change my alerts in Settings > Sounds. All of the tones are only 3 - 5 seconds long, so they clearly are not "songs". I cannot figure out how to "move/convert" them to being sounds (alerts), not songs/music. What makes me even more crazy is that if I purchase a single tone, it will go into my Settings > Sounds as an alert/ringtone, but when I purchase the whole album of alert tones, they are saved as music.

Before i upgraded to this iOS 7, i could just swipe and delete an entire music album on my 4s which I did not upgrade to iOS 7 because I didn't want hassles. So I opened iTunes on my iPhone 4 and went to Downloads and the album started downloading. I watched all the songs download then went to Music to listen to it. I looked under Artist and Garbage and that album was missing. So I looked under Albums and it's showing up.I can't seem to get it to show up under the artist, though. I have synced, rebooted the phone, etc.The tracks are not part of a compilation so that's not it.The album shows up under the artist section in iTunes on my MacBook Pro.How do I get this new album to show up under the proper artist?

When I try to sync the iPhone 4 after I have made a playlist in iTunes with the complete album, it won't even show up in the device list but it just showed up in the device list in iPhoto? Mar 21, 2012Since I updated to 5.1 on my iPhone 3Gs, I keep getting problems with the updated OS. I can't download apps, music or books from the iTunes store, it's very hit and miss. It is pointless having a pin upon wake up of the phone as all you have to do to get past the pin is by swiping the camera button up to by-pass it. The battery life has dramatically dropped from lasting a couple of days with everyday use to around 9 hours. The signal from the network has dropped from 3 bars on 3G to 4 bars on GPRS, and finally apps keep crashing and exit themselves to the home screen.
I have rang my network (O2UK) and they have said that they have had serveral reports of Apple products having these bugs since the release of 5.1, and saying that nothing has changed in terms of te settings and masts near me, but they advised me to check my network settings and if they are different from what O2's website said (they were the same). So why are there so many bugs with 5.1? I can't download any apps at all and my battery is worse?
