View 4 RepliesSo, yesterday i decided to clean my Sony Z3 because it was dirty, i cleaned it with the hose (water), i made sure i used a towel to remove the water i blowed the water left, and i placed it back on the table, after 2 hours i decided to take the phone and see what's new and when i pressed the button to see if it opens it did but the unfortune part is that the touch screen is not responding like if i try to go to home menu i can't because it's not working to slide or anything, it's just froze but the power button and volume keys are working, this thing pisses me off so bad, i placed the phone in a bowl of rice it's been 7 hours sinceit's there and nothing the phone is closed and still nothing happend after 7 hours, and there is condensation on the camera lens btw.

The date and time is Sept 30 2010 at 11:32am. Which i set and is correct and is correct on the smaller clock on top right hand of the screen. However, on the bigger time and date that "floats" on the touch screen it is still reading 9:43am with yesterday's date which is the 29th of sept. Then when i want to change my phone setting to either vibrate or silent....again, the smaller notification is correct but the big setting that "floats" on screen keeps telling me its on vibrate when i try to change it.

Just bought a BB Storm 2, 9520. But i find something doesn't seem right, but not exactly sure if it's a problem or it's just the design of the phone. Please enlighten me on this. The touch screen of my phone doesn't seem "fix" like other touch screen phone. The feel of touching the BB screen is like pressing a button where it'll "depress" when u press the screen. Is this normal for this phone?

While using it tonight it froze with the screen on. Holding down the power button failed to restart the phone. Using a pointed object on the SIM slot power button also failed: no vibrations, no change to the phone. The Sony Bridge for Mac program did not detect a device was connected.
When I use the "Manage Connections" screen to turn on/of wi-fi or mobile network connection, the smart phone's screen get frozen and then a compulsive restart is performed.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone has fallen out of my pocket a million times and always been fine, no cracks just a few scraches on the back. This morning, it fell out and I assumed the usual had happened. However, I went to type on the open message and the screen wasn't responding on parts of the keyboard. So, I thought maybe it was just a small issue; I turned my phone off then back on. When it turned back on I couldn't even unlock it because the screen wasn't responding and the first number of my passcode was in an unresponsive spot. An elder friend of mine told me all I needed was to replace the screen and that he could do it, if I bought the screen. My question is, would it be cheaper to buy the screen and have my friend do it, or would Apple give me a better deal?

I'm a 1st time owner of a brand new 5800, this is my first experience with a touch screen phone and I was wondering since the screen is plastic and I absolutely hate scratches on my phones anywhere but especially on my screen, is there a way to put a screen protector on the screenof the phone and have the touch screen still work, will it be less sensitive or will it work at all?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI turned my phone off then on. In the process of it starting up it kept on turning on and off by itself. I had no chance to do anything before it wouldn't turn off again. The battery said it was full but everytime it turned back on I could see it was loosing life. I went to plug it in to charge but that wouldn't help as it wouldn't charge while it was turning on and off all the time. I tried to take the battery out. I have taken the memory card out. Now it has frozen with a white lit up screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased my N97 about a year ago and I absolutely adore it. I haven't run into any problems until last week. When I turn on my phone, enter the unlock code and use it to do whatever I need to do, it works fine. However, if I lock the phone or let the backlight shut off, it won't turn back on and neither do the lights on the number keys. Here is the funny part: If I press the power key (as if I were to change my profile) the backlight turns on, allowing me to see the screen, but the number keys don't light up! Does anyone know what I can do?
I'm not very tech savvy (so please don't laugh if my solutions are completely wrong), but here are some of the things I have done to try and rectify the problem:
- Let the battery drain completely and charged it in the hopes that it would rectify itself like it has in the past with other issues
- Took out the battery, SIM card and memory card just to make sure everything was inserted properly
- Restored the phone to factory settings
My 1020's FFC has been working fine until yesterday when I tried to use the FFC and it just showed a black screen and you couldn't press any buttons on the screen, I just had to go back to the home screen to do anything else. The regular camera is working fine. Proximity sensor seems to working fine as well. I have done a soft reset with no luck, about to do a hard reset... It's not a huge deal but I do like my phone to be working at 100%!
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.

Another frustration I'm having with my first smartphone, torch 9860 bought 1 week ago ....hen I'm talking on the phone, several undesirable things might occur, like I hang-up, or put on speaker phone, or put on hold, or unless the fingers are placed "just so" and my earring doesn't happen to bump the touch screen I can't seem to just have a conversation. Is it really necessary to hold this BB like a small pizza, that is, flat and carefully around the edges, and speak down into it with my chin on my chest?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI  dropped my Z3 on it's backed and the top half it cracked. The screen was undamaged but  the top half is now unresponsive when touched. Everything else on the phone works fine but the top half of the screen just doesn't respond when i touch it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedEvery time I unlock my phone I have to wait about a sec or two for me to tap on anything and have it open... I have the touch screen booster... But I starting to think it's not the screen but the phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought my Z5 less than a month ago, it rarely fell. Today it slipped out of my pocket on a medium hard ground and the screen got cracked from the bottom left and the screen would not respond. I restarted it using the power+up volume button but it still is unresponsive.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my Z2 for a while now. I'm very happy with my phone, but there are a few problems that i need fixed or deliver the phone back, because i cant use it like this.

When i use the touch screen either calling a number, writing a text or anything, it aint always so responsive.
If i write a little word like: "Hi, my name is dave" then what i see written is: "H, Myname is dve"

This is VERY hard for me to tolerate right now. I have always had samsung phones and i have never had any issues with the touch, but i wanted to test a Sony phone and i bought this one. My first impression was very good, but now its not that great.
I have the G920F, I was wondering if there is a way to re-calibrate the touch screen, the issue I am having is on some games such as boom beach where i have to tap a certain little part of the screen and sometimes I am having to tap 3/4 times before it seems to register, on my older s4 this was perfect and registered first go every time.

I like the Torch a lot. The for factor suits me. I have no problems with it. I would however like to have an app or some way to disable the touch screen so that Im using the trackpad as im used to. In any case apart from web browsing i use the trackpad mostly.
Im not saying the touch screen is bad or faulty or I shld get another phone etc! I just want to know if anyone who is using apps like pattern lock etc have come across a way to make the Torch disable its touch screen - even if for a short while?

My wife hates the swipe method of answering . Is there an app which might show "answer"or"decline" on screen.
I'm Sony user since 4 years ago as I started with Sony Xperia miny pro, Xperia S, Xperia Z1, then Xperia Z2.
Now I own the black model of the xperia Z2 since 2 days I decided to try the waterproof ability and take a photo under the water. I took the phone with me under the water it's not more than 30 meter and not more than 6 min .a few hours later, I found out that some of the water got in because I can see some condensation on the camera lenses both front and back.
Another few hours later I found out that the screen starts to flicker then the screen dies. All other functionality such as the sound still works because I can hear the tone if someone call me or receive a sms but the display and touch is dead.
Not sure if I have a hardware or software issue. I just updated my 1520 to Windows 10 (build 10586.29).
The touch screen will randomly stop working. I'll be trying to scroll, open an app, etc. Nothing. I have to reboot the entire phone. I also get random ghost touch issues.
None of this was happening on Windows 8.1. However, I have only had the phone for two days. Used 8.1 for one day and have been using 10 today. That is why I am unsure if this is an OS issue or a hardware defect.
I dropped my Nokia X6 and the screen cracked. It still displays everything OK but accepts no input. I don't want to shell out money to have it fixed (+-$100) because I'm almost due for a phone upgrade on my contract.I tried using the data cable but when I connect it to the phone I can't choose data transfer or ovi suite etc. since the screen input is broken. Is there any way to access the (internal) memory of the phone? I basically just need the photos and contacts.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI own a C905 which I have had for just over 16 months and I have found it to be an excellent phone however me being a gadget person I need more mainly in the photography department 8.1 just isn't enough. I am looking to find out some information as to why there has been no replacement for the C905, I have my upgrade in a few months and I am beginning to get worried as I am far from comfortable using a touchscreen. A simple re-design of the c905 with the 12mp camera would be fine, something a bit slimmer maybe even if it was a replacement for the Aino which I had been looking at as I own a ps3 and would use remote play a great deal so was willing to sacrifice the added camera quality, but as fate would have it after deciding to upgrade to it my service provider informed me that they no longer stock the Aino. With my upgrade approaching and no sign of a phone to meet requirements in production as of yet I am not sure what to do so really any help or advise would be nice as i am a dedicated sony ericsson fan and really don't want to have to look elsewhere.
